Quality of mammographic images and mammographic projections
VOSTŘÁKOVÁ, Michaela
Mammographic examination is highly important considering that breast cancer is the most frequent carcinoma in women in the Czech Republic. Of course, the quality of mammographic images depends on all parts of the imaging chain including a proper scanning technique and proper positioning of the patient as the breast should be sufficiently captured in the highest extent possible, including the pectoral muscle. Proper exposure and general quality of the images are also necessary in order to show discrete calcifications that may be the single sign of any pathological process in the breast. This thesis is aimed at evaluating the quality of mammographic imaging at two screening departments. One department has undergone complete digitization, the other applies classical film-based mammography. Mammography devices were replaced with digital ones at the film-based mammography department during this research. The result of this work consists in comparing the imaging quality at both these departments, completed with comparison of film-based and digital mammography at the department where the devices were replaced.

Inheritance proceedings
Černá, Kamila ; Macková, Alena (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
Inheritance proceedings The goal of my Master's thesis is to describe in detail the course of the inheritance proceedings. Even though, the overall rule states that inheritance is assumed at the moment of decedent's death, the inheritance proceedings must take place. It is therefore a procedure set by law that is presided by a notary as a court commissar who is authorized by a competent court. During the proceedings, the notary locates decedent's inheritors, his assets and debts. With conclusion of the proceedings, all decedent's property relations are assorted in order. Simply it can be said, the conclusion of the inheritance proceedings is a division of decedent's assets and debts among all heirs. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes the history of the inheritance proceedings and the position of a notary as a court commissar in the period in between the First Republic to the contemporary practice. Furthermore, the contemporary inheritance proceeding is characterized as well as its function and legal framework, including its demarcation as a non-adversarial process. The second chapter deals with matters of court's authority and competence for the inheritance proceedings. The subchapter with inheritance proceedings with a foreign aspect, e.g. inheritance proceeding...

Morphostructural analysis of the Hřibovská hornatina
Stemberk, Jakub ; Štěpančíková, Petra (advisor) ; Roštínský, Pavel (referee)
Morphostructural analysis of the Hřibovská hornatina Mts. This work deals with morphostructure analyses of the Hřibovská hornatina Mts., part of the Rychlebské hory Mts. Northeastern border of the studied area is created by the mountain front slope controlled by the Sudetic Marginal fault, which is one of the most conspicuous tectonic structures in central Europe. This is the main reason why works were focused on the analyses of stream network parameters and spatial distribution of those selected landforms which could potentially indicate recent tectonic activity in the studied area. As a result, supposed courses of faults marked in morphology were suggested. Fault activity assessment was considered on changes in erosion intensity indicated in longitudinal and crosswise profiles of stream valleys. Based on the values of Stream-Length index the areas with recent tectonic activity were delimited. The final output of this work is the morphostructure map of the Hřibovská hornatina Mts. and the adjacent area. Key words: Morphostructural analysis, active tectonics, Sudetic Marginal Fault, Hřibovská hornatina Mts.

Ir.M.A. - Infrared Measurement and Analysis of Accommodation and Vergency
Jindra, Tomáš ; Dušek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Páta, Petr (referee)
This work is dealing with design of the systém for measuring dynamics of the vergence and accommodation. Vergence accommodation synkinesis is a complex process controlled by various mechanisms in CNS. Deviations from physiological state of the vision process are projected to course of the vergence accommodation curves and is possible the quantitative and qualitative evaluation. For this purpose was designed the measuring system Ir.M.A. (Infrared Measurement of Accommodation). The system uses high-speed videometric device for determination of the relative vergence and relative accomodation of the eyes. Stimulation of the patient's eyes is performed by the standardized jump change of the fixation object distance. The object is reconstruted by holographic method. Measured videosequences are processed by the image analysis. Results of the image analysis are courses of the vergence and accommodation curves depending on time and characteristics of the curves. System is designed for using in clinical practice where it could be used as screening instrument for diagnostics of the oculomotor system disorders.

Suicidal behaviour in children and adolescents
BENEŠOVÁ, Veronika
ABSTRACT The topic of my bachelor{\crq}s thesis, entitled ``Suicidal Behaviour in Children and Adolescents{\crqq} is swathed in a certain mystery. Even though it is the second most common cause of death in young people, it is rarely discussed and often overlooked. Perhaps all of us once in our lives, especially during adolescence, have wondered thought what would happen if we were no longer be here, if we were to leave this world voluntarily. But of course it is a very big step from having the idea to actually putting it into practice. This work focuses specifically on those children and adolescents who went so far that they tried to cross the boundary dividing life and death. The theoretical part covers suicidal behaviour in general and explains some of the terms associated with this subject. This section also discusses the different forms and methods involved in suicidal behaviour. Another important part comprises the risk factors or developmental aspects of suicidal behaviour and the concept of death. Also worth mentioning is self-harming, which is closely connected with suicidal activities. The last chapter is devoted to prevention, which is this case is indispensable. The aim of my work is to describe the disorder of the self-preservation instinct and to assess the characteristics shared by a sample of children and adolescents with a case history of suicidal behaviour. Based on the information available I decided to carry out a qualitative survey. The documents analysis method was used for this. More specifically, this was documentation available concerning children and adolescents who had been observed as having a disorder of the self-preservation instinct. The research sample consisted of fifteen boys with a case history of suicidal behaviour and who were hospitalized in a mental institution. As this was a small, monothematic sample group, I opted for the qualitative form of work. The most crucial result of the research was the finding that children with suicidal habits come from a background with a low level of emotion and inadequate emotional support. These deficiencies then make it harder for the person to adapt and unable to deal with conflict situations.

Vaněčková, Jana ; Vanduchová, Marie (advisor) ; Jelínek, Jiří (referee)
A victim of domestic violence and the possibilitics of the victim's protection under criminal law. Abstract: For my thesis, I have chosen the topic of Victim of domestic violence and the possibility of criminal protection after finishing an elective course "Domestic violence" mainly because I have found this issue very intriguing. I do not deal with the whole issue of domestic violence in my thesis. In the first part, I summarize theoretical knowledge about domestic violence and in the second part, concerned with legal regulations, I address especially the summarization of present legal regulations and the identification of their shortcomings. The thesis is divided into nine chapters, where the first one is the introduction and the last one is the conclusion. Thematically oriented chapters follow the first one. The first chapter is devoted to the notion of violence itself, specifically domestic violence. Types and forms of domestic violence follow and even myths about domestic violence are not omitted. Since my thesis is titled "Victim of domestic violence…", I cannot but to mention in the next chapter victimology, discipline dealing with the victims of the crime and related phenomena (victimhood, victimization, etc.). Next, specifically third, chapter deals with the phenomenon of stalking. I address the...
