Bishop's picture universe. Pontifical of Renaud de Bar - both parts from Prague and Cambridge

This work deals with two parts of the Renaud de Bar's Pontifical (ms. XXIII C 120 - National Library of the Czech Republic and ms. 298 - Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge), an extraordinary liturgical book illuminated between 1302-1316 for bishop of Metz in the region of Lorraine. Both manuscripts have been considered as two separated liturgical books untill recent period. Detailed comparation of their content and decoration, which goes over usual temporary production, allows understand that they are two parts of one identical pontifical. Its decoration is unique especially due to multitude of images illustrating medieval liturgy and number of drolleries. The aim of this work is to open new topics for future researches. They might explain some problems, which arose during detailed description of the manuscripts' decoration. Special attention is dedicated to picture supplement.

Metamorphosis of the feminine body in the contemporary French literature

The present study focuses on the problematics of perception of the bodily image as it appears in a women-written corpus. The theme of the metamorphosing female body has been investigated in three contemporary French novels : Biographie de Za faim by Amélie Nothomb, Truismes by Marie Darrieussecq and Rosie Carpe by Marie NDiaye. All written by female authors around the same age, these novels report on what it is like being a woman in a postmodern world. The female heroes are confronted with their own bodily self and the long-standing tradition of a male-dominated society. These testimonies, that comprise traumatising bodily experiences and difficult relationships with others, contribute to forge the feminine identity. The three female protagonists of the investigated corpus embark on an identity quest. They struggle against the established order to find their place in the society. Nothomb's narrator thematizes the difficult passage from a child to an adult body which imposes the body /mind separation on women. She perceives this transformation as a traumatizing experience of loss and denies it by confining her body. In a revulsion towards the adult female body anorexia is an attempt to defeat abjection. Development of cadastre of real estates of Slovak Republic after the break up of CSFR

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the development of the cadastre in the Slovak Republic after the separation of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic. It deals with the organizational structure of the cadastre, ownerships and other rights in rem. It addresses issues of digitization of cadastral maps, the level of availability to end-users in electronic form. It points out the differences between the Czech and Slovak cadastre and suggests the possibility of optimizing the Czech system based on the facts found.

Business Intelligence solution in ThyssenKrupp Výtahy, s.r.o.

This diploma thesis deals with strategic business management and its support with Business Intelligence tools. The objective of this thesis is to analyze specific company, design a model of metrics suitable for managing this company and implement Business Intelligence solution to monitor chosen metrics. The whole thesis is separated into two basic sections. First section focuses on theory, describes Balanced Scorecard methodology and principles of Business Intelligence tools. Both themes are contextualized in Corporate Performance Management. Second section deals with application of theoretical knowledge in practice - the environment of company. In relevant chapters is the company analyzed by Balanced Scorecard methodology; the second chapter deals with the Business Intelligence solution. The main contribution of this thesis is to demonstrate the utilization of Balanced Scorecard methodology and Business Intelligence technologies in managing a mid-sized company. The solution itself shows the management possibilities of these instruments on observed data and gives a notice to some phenomenons in the company.

Financial analyse of the company Vodafone Czech Republic, a.s.

This work treats of the financial analyse of the company Vodafone Czech Republic, a.s. In the first part i will focus on a single characterization of financial analyse and depicture the separate principles that will be applied in the practical part. In the second part i will introduce the company then implement own financial analyse and at the end i will make comparison intercompany with the companies at the same field.

Audio digitizer using recording to SD card

This thesis deals about a digitizer design. The digitizer is part of air-band monitoring receiver. Requirement is digitalization of two audio signals. The device communicates with PC through USB interface and it provides reading and writing to SD card. The STM32F4DISCOVERY development board with processor STM32F407VGT6 was used for design and function testing. This development kit is supplemented with other peripherals on an extern board (input audio circuits and SD slots). The thesis describes briefly theory for each issue which this project deals with. One part is engaged to the hardware design. Then there is a description of the PC software for the device controlling. The main part of the thesis is about the development of the firmware for MCU, which manages AD conversion, formatting of the voice signal, USB communication (HID and Mass Storage class), recording and reading from the SD card and additional peripherals.

Process of Institutional Reforms of European Union in Light of its Enlargement

The topic of this diploma thesis is the Process of institutional reforms of EU in light of its enlargement. The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical part and practical part. Theoretical part talks about European treaties that founded or reformed five main European institutions -- Parliament, Council, Commission, Court of Justice and Court of Auditors. In separate chapter the thesis talks about Lisbon Treaty and this chapter is followed by description of the main institutions. Practical part was based on original research in which almost two hundred respondents took part and which was focused on the knowledge of respondets of the administration of EU. The results of the research were analysed in form of commented graphs and tables. Based on the research, last chapter provides recommendations that should help increase the knowledge of Czechs of the EU administration.

Pastoral care of psychotic patients The thesis deals with the pastoral care for psychotic people. Psychotic diseases are characterized in general and some of them separately. The thesis deals with the pastoral care principles in general and specifically for the ill. Knowledge is applied and specifics of the pastoral care for the psychotic people are formulated in the thesis. Professional literature is evaluated in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with a disease and the pastoral care. Particular psychotic diseases are described in the third chapter, such as schizophrenia, delusion disorder, schizoaffective disorder, psychotic obsession, psychotic depression, bipolar disorder. Drug abuse psychoses and psychotic disorders as a result of a somatic disease are also listed in that chapter. The pastoral care for the ill is specified in the fourth chapter.

Suggestion on Communication Strategy of the Company

The goal of the thesis is an evaluation of a present communication with customers concrete company and proposal of the new communication campaign for the next years. The thesis is separated on a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part concerns importance of a marketing communication, analysis methods of internal and external background, description of particular tools of a communication mix and it solves budget determination for communication campaign. In the practical part is described the selected company, its current situation analysis of communication mix, customer satisfaction research which is focused on current services and new communication campaign proposal.
