Convective environment indicies and their comparison
Marek, Lukáš ; Müller, Miloslav (advisor) ; Kašpar, Marek (referee)
In this work I created the overwiew of instability indices and other characteristics of convective environment which can be found in the literature. On the basis of variables, which the instability indices are calculated from, I suggested their categorization. It was created five groups of instability indices: (i) indices of isobaric levels differences, (ii) indices of rising air parcel, (iii) indices of potential temperatures, (iv) indices of the energy potential of convection and (v) indices of wind shear. In addition to these five categories it was created the sixth category consists of other thermodynamic characteristics. In the last chapter I used the upper air soundings data and values of instability indices of the University of Wyoming for one storm in Prague and I compared instability indices to each other. The group of the indices of potential temperatures was the most successful in the storm forecast, except the Rackliff index. The bulk Richardson number from the group of indices of wind shear forecasted a supercell storm correctly. The work could be used for creation of instability climatology of the Czech Republic on the basis of the selected instability indices. Keywords: instability index, convection, convective storm

Legal Regulations on Renewable Energy Sources Abstract Submitted thesis presents issues of legal regulations on renewable energy sources emphasizing mainly legal regulations concerning electricity generation of alternative sources. This thesis offers a review of international documents and instruments of international law within a scope of the support of renewable energy sources. Regarding the Czech and Slovak Republic as members of European Union, this thesis also concerns an overview of the European legislation as a tool of integration of energetic markets of single member states and setting binding targets on quota of energy produced from renewable energy sources in the EU member states. Based on the set scientific methods, the thesis describes historical development and basic resources used by creation of legal regulations for renewable energy sources. Using comparative method it summarizes and compares legal regulations on the renewable sources of energy as used in Czech and Slovak legal system. The objective of the thesis is to provide a complex overview of the legal regulation on the renewable sources of energy as the part of environmental law and energy law in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. During the archeological excavations 2002 - 2006 on site of Jandavlattepa in Southern Uzbekistan (Czech - Uzbek expedition, Charles Univerzity in Prague and Academy of Sciences in Samarkand) was gained a significant number of adornments and jewellery. Main aim of this MA- thesis was the creation of catalogue of these small finds and their comparision with other archeological complexes of Central Asia. Jandavlattepa is situated in the region of ancient Bactria, so the bulk of adornments analysed in this work consists of artifacts from Bactrian archeological sites. The study concentrates on the Kushan period (1.- 4. century AD) and is divided in tree parts: 1. adornments and jewellery extended among common population, in which the finds from Jandavlattepa can be included 2. extraordinary jewellery of the elite 3. catalogue of finds Group of common jewellery is treated more in detail and consists of the groups of head adornments (diadems, earrings, hairpins, temple pendants), neck and clothing adornments (necklaces, pendants, clasps, buckles, sew - on plaques) and adornments of hands and legs (bracelets, finger-rings, anklets). Localities with concentration of finds are Yalangtush Tepe, Zartepa, Kampyrtepa and Dalvezintepe from Southern Uzbekistan and necropoles Babashov, Aruktau, Tup - Chona and Tepai - Shah...

Measuring depths and lengths with a Mobile phone
Stach, David ; Ondreička, Matúš (referee) ; Matas, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis focuses on creating of the application for some of mobile platforms (Windows Mobile Professional was chosen), which automaticaly and efectively detects deformed rectangular object on the picture and provides to transform picture into rectangular coordinates and to measure size and distance of an objects thanks to known size of objec. The application has to use algorithms, which will enable fast work of required object detector and subsequently fast transformation of whole picture. Hough transformation was chosen as a base for object detection. Design and creation of user interface is part of work too

In connection with the legislative changes which have been taking place in the Czech Republic since the adoption of the New School Act and in accordance with the European Union recommendations, the demand for measurable results in education, which would be transparent, valid, reliable and comparable, has arisen. The issues connected with the evaluation of results in education will be dealt with in an autonomous institution - Centre for the Evaluation of the Results in Education (CERMAT). The newly established institution will start functioning on January 1st 2006.1 The Centre for the Evaluation of the Results in Education (CERMAT) is going to build on the results and data, which had been collected in the 2001 - 2006 period in the Centre for the Maturita Reform through annual research programmes, which were part of the programme cycle called "Step by Step to New Maturita".1 Graduation theses deal with testing issues in Science subjects (with the emphasis on Chemistry), ways and means can make use of the results in education (CERMAT) for entrance examination on university in the 2007-2008 period, interpretation of statistic data in relation to a test and to individual items.
