Parent's coping mechanisms with the descendant's transsexualism
Gregorová, Pavlína ; Procházka, Ivo (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with parental coping with the transsexualism of their offspring. A questionnaire containing 66 items was created for this purpose. 16 parents of transsexual offspring participated in the research (12 mothers, 4 fathers). Just two offsprings were MtF, the others were FtM. 11 parents were contacted via their transsexual offspring, four parents were addressed at while attending a psychotherapeutic group for parents of transsexual offsprings and one parent filled in the questionnaire placed on the Internet. We found out that the most difficult situation for the parents was the moment their transsexual offsprings announced their transsexualism. A majority of the parents were in the state of shock and a majority also felt sorry. After that, the relation between the parents and their transsexual offspring improved. The parents evaluated the current relation between them and their transsexual offspring as sufficiently good. The person who helped the parents most to cope with the transsexuality of their offspring was his or her spouse, however in most of the cases nobody actually helped the parent. The majority of the parents managed to cope with the transsexuality of their offspring within one month. Data analysis showed that almost all parents, who participated in this research, have already...

Safety and health protection at work
Salajka, Radek ; Tröster, Petr (advisor) ; Hůrka, Petr (referee)
Resumé A person could say that from one angle the whole situation of occupational safety and health leads to a collision of two different interests of two different subjects. The main subjects are employers on one side and employees and society as a whole on the other side. Speaking of interests, there is an interest of making the biggest possible earnings and maximalization of profit, but on the other side there is an interest of maximalization of safety of the employees as a very expensive part of the business but a necessary matter of humanism and law. The solution lays on a compromise, a situation, where there is a guarantee of good safety for a reasonable price. We have to see the state as the resolver of this situation because state is laying between these two subjects and their interests and we cannot place it on the side of emloyees or employers. On the other hand state can have a big influence on the whole situation due to its statutory instruments such as legal acts and other directives. State, however, also has to resolve some opposing views inside itself. These are the maximalization of profit of companies and thus high tax income versus its target seen in the lowest possible outcome due to old-age pension and social insurance paid to employees together with the highest possible age reached by...

Laboratory methods for diagnostic infections total prosthesis articulations
HRONÍČKOVÁ, Lenka
Prosthesis articulations and their infectious complications are currently a much discussed problem among orthopaedists and microbiologists. The most operations are performed especially at hip and knee joints. The main reason for their most frequent damage is secondly the fact that endoprostheses of these joints have a good possibility of fixing of plastic materials into the bone and a long lifetime. Endoprostheses are used also in joints of shoulders, elbows etc. Despite of all aseptic procedures infection development sometimes appears. This complication is the most common cause of endoprostheses damage and it is often the reason for re-operation. The development of infection depends on interactions between a micro-organism, prosthesis articulations and a host. Bacterial agents causing infections of prosthesis articulations include gram-positive cocci, especially Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis, sometimes even streptococci. Further they could be gram-negative bars, especially Escherichia coli, Proteus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter species a Serratia marcescens etc. In mixed infections there can also appear anaerobic bacteria, especially Propionibacterium acnes and anaerobic streptococci. Most of bacterial agents are a part of so called bio film, which is important for bacteria and their survival. Bacteria in bio film acquire matrix protection against the effect of antibodies and phagocytes and also against the effects of antibiotics. Implementation of new laboratory procedures and methods, when among others ultrasound is used to destroy bio film, and making further cultivation and identification of infectious agents easier proved as a contribution. It leads to significantly higher capture of etiological agents of infectious complications of prosthesis articulations and this way it contributes to better securing of re-implantations. Procedures and methods presented in this thesis can be used in other modifications at examination of other inorganic materials and implantations and at examination of tissues taken out of patient ´s body at various infectious complications. Presented thesis compares laboratory procedures and methods used so far at OLM (Department of Medical Microbiology) in Nemocnice Jindřichův Hradec, a.s. (Hospital in Jindřichův Hradec, Ltd.) with laboratory procedures newly implemented for this purpose to examine infections of prosthesis articulations in cooperation with the author of presented thesis in spring months of 2008.

The analysis of price elasticity of demand for beer
Hromadníková, Kateřina ; Mirvald, Michal (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The thesis analyses price elasticity of beer demand. Hypothesis about inelastic demand is tested first for nationwide level and then on data of specific brewery. Elasticity was determined by regression analysis, specifically by ordinary least squares with all variables expressed in logarithmic form. Consumption of beer is the endogenous variable and price of bottled beer (price of one hectoliter of beer in case of brewery), average gross income and price level are in the role of the exogenous variables. The hypothesis about inelastic demand was successfully proved. Price elasticity estimates range from -0,66 to -0,2. In case of specific brewery price was not significant. On the other hand, average gross income seems to be the significant determinant. According to income elasticity beer seems to be luxury good in case of specific brewery and necessity in case of nationwide level.

The evaluation of investment project
Cúth, Matouš ; Scholleová, Hana (advisor) ; Valenta, Petr (referee)
The thesis is focused on an evaluation of an investment project. Company Lazne Podebrady is making a decision whether to reconstruct one of its main accommodations facilities, hotel Libensky. There are many ways how to evaluate an investment project. Realization of an investment project, as well as its non-realization, has a great impact to a whole company. If the investment is separated from the company, the result could be inaccurate. For this reason the evaluation of the whole company Lazne Podebrady in the case of realization of the investment project and in the case of its non-realization was done. The final value of the investment project was made by simple subtraction of the two sub-results. The result of the thesis is a recommendation to a management of the company, whether the investment project is worthwhile or not.

The Czech Republic before ICSID
Šlehoferová, Vanda ; Trávníčková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kochan, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the legal investment disputes settled within the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, where one party of a dispute was the Czech Republic or a Czech national. The thesis has three main chapters. The first is theoretical, and describes the structure, function and jurisdiction of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. The next two chapters focus on specific 'Czech' cases, which were settled before the Centre. The first dispute was between the Czechoslovak Trade Bank and the Slovak Republic and the second was between the Israeli company Phoenix Action Ltd. and the Czech Republic. Both cases are very interesting, not only legally but also factually. Benefits for future decision-making practice is considerable. In the first case, it is an even greater extension of the term 'investment' by broad interpretation of the arbitral tribunal, the second emphasises the principles of non-retroactivity and good faith as other aspects of international investment interpretation.

Cooperative game as one of means (classroom interaction)
Lebdušková, Václava ; Kargerová, Jana (advisor) ; Tomková, Anna (referee)
In my thesis I deal with a cooperative play as a tool of understanding. This understanding means that the pupils learn more about each other, learn more about themselves and also the teacher do learn more about his class. The aim of this work is to record to what extent the usage of cooperative plays participates in the development of social, personal and communicative competencies at the beginning of the compulsory school attendance. At the end of my thesis I present the results of the action research, which confirm that cooperative play is a good tool for making good relationships in a group and for developing the chosen key competencies.

The second part is about education of autistic children in the special basic school. The author writes about reasons why she decided to choose this topic and why she describes these two types of education for children with autism. The second chapter tells us about the diagnosis of autism. We can read about different diagnostical methods, disturbances in autistic spectrum, combination mental handicap with autism and possibilities in education. The third chapter is about the integration. Theoretical part is focused on the teacher itself, his skills, education, personality etc. The cooperation with the family of the child is very important for making the Individual educational plan which is necessary for good educaion of these children. There is also description of two institutions dealing with the process of integration. There is also written the casework of a child who has been succesfully integrated into a mainstream school. Next part describes the education in the special basic school. To know the legislative is very important for every teacher working in this type of school.
