Measures to ensure population protection in the emergency planning zone Tomegas Ltd. storage of propane - butane Branice
FOŠUM, Daniel
The aim of this thesis is to propose measures to implement the emergency planning and emergency clearance operations, to prevent or reduce the immediate risk of accidents, according to documents provided by the IRS components, the community, administrative bodies and the storage operator. Another objective is to propose measures ensuring protection of the population in the emergency planning zone, in order to satisfy in the best possible way the following hypothesis: "Measures to implement the emergency planning and emergency clearance operations and measures to ensure population protection are an integral part of the external emergency plan, ready to resolve possible accident cases endangering lives, health, significant property values or the environment." To meet the objectives and verify the hypothesis, I used my own experience in the field of emergency planning and my personal knowledge of the site so that I could create a proposal of appropriate measures, designed to reduce an immediate menace, and mitigate the impacts of a possible major accident. To complete the goal I chose ``The storage of propane - butane bottles and bottling plant Branice at Milevsko", the local juristic person with the name TOMEGAS Ltd. By the South Bohemian regional authority, these operations were classified as category B under Act No. 59/2006 Coll., on the prevention of major accidents caused by selected hazardous substances or chemical preparations, and also an emergency planning zone with a radius of 1 km was established. Those objectives are proposed in accordance with all legal standards and regulations. I believe that the findings of my work will be applicable in building and updating an external emergency plan for given operations. The hypothesis is undoubtedly confirmed by the existence of international treaties and the EU legislation focused on the protection of people living in the neighborhood of buildings where dangerous substances and preparations are handled, as well as by the number of accidents happening worldwide. In the section ``Discussion{\crqq} several issues are analyzed, the major of which seems to be the financial aspect that may result in difficulties with the early establishment of proposed preventive measures.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 and NF1 germline mutations in Czech patients
Bendová, Šárka ; Křepelová, Anna (advisor) ; Kleibl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kadlecová, Jitka (referee)
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1, MIM 162200) is an autosomal dominant disorder affecting about 1 of 3000 live births, involving many cell types and organs, and associated with an increased risk of malignancy, predominantly of the central and peripheral nervous system 1. Tumour development is caused by inactivation of the NF1 tumour suppressor gene and subsequent cell cycle deregulation 2. Mutational analysis of NF1 is a challenge due to the presence of pseudogenes, large size of the gene, lack of mutational hotspots, and occurrence of a very diverse spectrum of mutations. There is no clear-cut genotype-phenotype correlation allowing accurate prediction of severity of the disorder. Only two mutations have been associated with a particular NF1 phenotype 3,4. This PhD thesis is composed of six publications dealing with NF1. Publications 1 and 6 are focused on NF1 mutation analysis in 67 patients from the Czech Republic. Genotypes and spectra of causal mutations are presented together with phenotypes of the patients and comparison of efficiency of various methods. Sporadic or familial cases with known germline mutation were distinguished by mutational analysis of other family members. This led to a hypothesis that the incidence of sporadic cases could had been overestimated in the past because of overlooked...

Fruit - part of human diet
Lansdorf, Marek ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Vodáková, Jitka (referee)
This study focuses on the fruit in terms of nutrition. Specifically, it deals with the characteristics of the fruit, the basic division into groups of fruit and risks that may occur when eating. Individual fruit species are described in terms of structure and composition of the fetus. The following are the fruit effects on human health and the ways it can consume. The theoretical work includes systematically structured overview of the fruit in the nutrition. The aim of the study was to further determine whether the selected school age pupils' understand basic concepts related to the consumption of fruit, and whether they incorporate fruits into their food. For this purpose orientation survey was carried out among students of basic education. The results are evaluated and discussed in the conclusion, tell us about the fact that 56 out of 130 respondents has a basic knowledge of fruit. This data shows that older school age pupils' knowledge in this area is insufficient.

The diagnosis of school maturity in relation to the pupil's adaptation to the 1st year of primary school
Hnyková, Radka ; Šturma, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Morávková Krejčová, Lenka (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the determination of the development characteristics of the period from the age of three to eight (i.e. pre-school and younger school age). The principal focus is on the issue of school maturity, the possibilities of its diagnosis and the pupils' adaptation to the first year of primary school. The empirical part introduces a quantitative research focused on some diagnostic methods (the Orientation Test of School Maturity - Orientační test školní zralosti, the Knowledge Test of Pre-school Children - Zkouška znalostí předškolních dětí and The Star - Wave Test) and the possibility of using these methods for predicting a child's adaptation to the first year of primary school. The thesis aims to examine how these methods could be used and also to show the possible limits related to using these methods. Keywords: school maturity, diagnostics, postponement, preschool age, primary schoool matriculation, adaptation

Cryptanalysis of ciphers used in GSM phones
Barboriková, Jana ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor) ; Kechlibar, Marian (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the family of A5 algorithm which is used in data encryption and decryption in GSM phones. It is focused on real time cryptanalysis of the stream cipher A5/1. It describes in detail the known plaintext attack published by A. Biryukov, A. Shamir and D. Wagner. Both the attack and the cipher are implemented. The implementation proves that the preprocessing stage of the attack is very time consuming, but the actual attack can be carried out in real time on a single PC. Then the problem of finding a good statistical model for the process of generating tree of predecessors of internal states of A5/1 is studied. We present reasons why the singletype Galton-Watson process is not suitable for the problem and introduce a multitype Galton-Watson process and a macro process. The models are applied to the process of generating predecessors and their predictions are compared with experimental data.

Facebook
Jůnová, Jana ; Švelch, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vochocová, Lenka (referee)
The theme of this thesis is to assess the behavior while using the public communication network Facebook. The number of users of social networks increases, as well as number of photographs, videos and other input that is stored on the Internet. Particularly, young people try to maintain or further develop their contacts by this way. Perhaps it is a new type of social convergence, which is more or less based on voyeurism, or just an expression of self- realization. In any case this behavior impacts shaping the social relationships of networking users and their free time in a real life. Through a research of Facebook users, this work is looking for uncovering the thinking process of people when publishing private matters via the Internet. Its main goal is to explore the usage of Facebook, depending on the knowledge of its surround. First of all, it is interested in users' network settings experience. Because the adjustment of Privacy Policy may prevent risk of misuse of the social networking, which may lead to disruption of the privacy of all users involved. The main question of the thesis is to what extent the users are aware of the interaction of the environment that is "watching" them. Basicly, when talking about this topic, the most important question is notifying the process of blurring the...

The role of nurse in recognition of the early stages of dementia
VELÁTOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this work was to find out whether the nurses working in the rooms of G.P. for adults can recognize signals of early stages of clients´ dementia, whether the nurses purposefully aim their effort to recognise the signals and whether the elderly people themselves are interested in such interventions. The group to be investigated was made up of a group of nurses from the G.P. rooms in the Tabor District and a group of elderly people at the age of 65 and over from the Tabor District as well. The investigation was made through quantitative research, questions; structured questions were used for the collection of data. The reason to do this work was to draw the attention to the nurses having broad possibilities to recognize the early stages of this disorder and to influence the fate of a lot of patients. The findings did not confirm the hypothesis that the nurses working in the G.P. rooms do not have possibilities to fully use their competence or to use their new knowledge of nursing to recognize symptoms of dementia of the elderly people and to broaden awareness of healthy aging. The research confirmed the second hypothesis that the nurses in the G.P. rooms do not purposefully aim their efforts to identify the early stages of dementia. The third hypothesis was confirmed; the elderly people showed their interest in the nurse{\crq}s intervention to identify the symptoms of dementia, thus confirming their reliance in nurses{\crq} expertise. All three objectives were fulfilled. At the close of the study it was pointed out that the existing approach of the nurses in the G.P. rooms to this disorder should change, the nurses should partake in using standardised less time consuming methods to test the elderly people with a higher risk of dementia, and to broaden awareness of healthy aging and all possible ways to prevent the syndrome of dementia.

Antidysrrhythmic drugs in the treatment of life-threatening dysrrhythmias
Tůmová, Klára ; Hrdina, Radomír (advisor) ; Tilšer, Ivan (referee)
AABBSSTTRRAACCTT Sudden death caused by a serious arrhythmia is quite common in the developed countries. Although pharmacotherapy is not the intervention of choice for patients who suffer from arrhythmia accompanied by serious objective symptoms (hypoxia, hypotension, chest pain), it plays an important role as an adjunct to non-pharmacological intervention in cases, when the intervention did not have the desired effect itself. Even as prevention of new arrhythmic episodes pharmacotherapy gives more and more place to radiofrequency ablation and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD). It is an alternative to invasive intervention when this is not indicated for any reason and a useful adjunct to ICD in patients with frequent arrhythmic episodes requiring a discharge. Searching for patients at risk of a serious arrhythmia, especially for primary prevention, is of limited potentials. Results of presently used tests have limited predictive value, in addition to this many abnormal findings are not prognostically important for otherwise healthy persons. Those findings can have certain significance when found in patients with structural heart disease or rare genetic arrhythmogenic syndromes. This work reviews contemporary possibilities of treatment and prevention of arrhythmias including new methods. The...
