Heckscher-Ohlinův Model - Teorie a Empirie

The thesis is concerned with one of the building blocks of the classical theory of international trade, known as the Heckscher-Ohlin (H-O) model. It consists of two parts -- in the first one, the model is briefly introduced and related theorems - theoretical extensions of the model - are presented. This introduction is then followed by a discussion on the empirical performance of the model. In the second part, the factor price equalization theorem, closely related to the original H-O model, is both theoretically and empirically analysed.

Monetary policy of the Czechoslovak Republic between 1918 and 1938

The thesis is focused on description and introduction into the monetary policy of the Czechoslovak Republic from the creation of the independent state in 1918 to the German occupation in 1938. Since there is always confrontation of different opinions when public matters are being solved and discussed -- historical data and events in the thesis are clarified by more options and ideas that have been also proposed or theoretically possible. Moreover where it is possible the examples of progress in countries which have chosen different steps in the monetary policy than Czechoslovakia are given.

The role of university teacher in distance education

The goal of this work is to propose and experimentally verify curriculum of study programme for university staff training in distance education. This curriculum is based on extensive literature review, comparative analysis of materials provided by number of international organizations, and identification of needs of Czech universities. The author summarizes state-of -the-art ideas and achievements related to roles, competencies, and trends in university staff education. The author also builds on analysis of her own experience gathered while working as tutor, author, and methodologist of distance education courses. The practical output of the author's research is the course "Introduction to Distance Education" designed to prepare university staff for roles o f author, designer, and tutor of distance learning courses. This course won the "Centre for Higher Education Studies Award" at the "E-learning Competition" in 1 Iradec Králové, 2004. The course is organized at University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and is offered to faculty of other universities in the Czech Republic. Communication and it's technological support in concrete organization

For as much as GfK Company is now reorganized, because all management has been changed, all processes are changing as well. One of this process is even process of communication, which until this time wasn't specifically solved itself. Especially due to this, is very hard to describe this process and sort. Object of this work is try to analyse process of extern and intern communication in GfK Company and simultaneously try to offer any suggestion to improve. To deals with all processes of this company isn't able due to extend of this work, and since GfK Company deals with market research and public mind, in this work is concentrated attention to communication by main activity of company. By these processes is communication with respondents and with clients, according to extern communication. In as much as communication with respondent, this work is focused mainly on household panel, because this company has from this most information (as primary data ). Same the internal communication is focused by main process of GfK Company, and that is data transmission and processing. These processes are for company basic, the most interesting and themselves right progress influenced the company as a whole, like a name and prestige and like an income. The work is separated to two main parts. The first part deals with theoretic problems. The main ideas are approached there, that are taking processes, information, communication and systems. The communication is research by social view and by technological view, so how communication is influenced by ICT, and it's positive or negative. The second part is focused to solve the concrete problem of GfK Company. In the first time is introduced the GfK, later are developed processes of internal and external communication. Next parts describe present situation and true using of ICT. According to this information are in conclusion mentioned any suggests and recommends how to improve these processes.

Apartment Residence with Wellness in Beskydy

This diploma thesis is focused on design of project documentation apartment residence with wellness centre in Beskydy Mountains. It is a three floors apartment residence with wellness centre with basement, with is located in sloping plot in the village of Staré Hamry in Frýdek-Místek. Nearby are 2 ski lifts and 3 ski slopes. The whole area is very used by tourist in summer and winter season. In building is 13 apartments and they are designed to be suitable for a longer stay with one apartment is designed for people with limited mobility. Residence is possible make accommodation for 36 people. In wellness part are designed swimming pool, whirlpool, finish and infra saunas. The main disposal idea was separate an accommodation part from wellness part. The supporting system consists of two structural systems. As a main building material was in basement part used a permanent formwork from vibropressed concrete blocks and in upper floor are used ceramic block Porotherm with voids filed by hydrophobic mineral wool. Loadbearing interior basement part consist of reinforced concrete columns with make a space for parking space for cars. Ceiling construction consists of prestressed hollow core slab Spiroll. Roof is designed as a saddle roof. The main result is the correct design of the building with a correct layout design, correct structural design, architectural, energy saving and safety in use of the building.

From machine to icon:car in popculture from the 60s

An automobile is one of the most important phenomenons of modern technology. Since its origins, it has profoundly shaped our physical, economic, politic, social, cultural and media habitat. The objective of this Master thesis is to analyze the evolution of the role of the car in the popculture from the 60s onwards and its dimensions, with a primary focus on Anglosaxon culture, with excursions to Asia and continental Europe, primarily Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic. The core foundation of the thesis lies in the analysis of the popcultural genres, selected films, TV series, computer games and comic books. The main purpose of the thesis is to reflect upon the identity and conceptual shifts of car, going from a mere transport machine through a vehicle of product placement towards the concept of the icon, a narrative hero of popculture. The hypothesis to verify is that the car has become an essential part of the popculture itself, reflected in many various dimensions: car as a toy, car as a friend, car as a status symbol, car as a narrative extension of the hero and finally, car as a hero and subject. Industrial melanism in the context of ultraviolet reflectance

This work focuses on the topic known as industrial melanism. The main aim of this thesis is to summarize the knowledge published on this topic. The first mentions about industrial melanism appeared in England in the end of 19th century. Many different hypotheses emerged during the last one hundred years. The work starts with introduction of the fundamental theory of industrial melanism in the context of environmental change during last three hundred years. Furthermore, the historical development of ideas on industrial melanism is given and contemporary hypotheses are discussed. Significantly, work deals with the biological role of UV reflectance in the context of industrial melanism.

The campaign "Everything I can" and its commutication strategy

The subject of this bachelor thesis is "Campaign "Everything I can" its communication strategy" is an analysis of a campaign aimed at a propagation of a vaccine called Silgard that reduces the risk of getting cervical cancer. It was realized in the Czech Republic by a company called Merck Sharp & Dohme IDEA, Inc (MSD). In the first chapter, this thesis presents the company Merck & Co, Inc., the producer of the aforementioned vaccine and its subsidiary MSD. There is an introduction the causes of the disease and possibilities of prevention. In the second chapter, the thesis aims to describe the campaign's objectives, its target groups and its competitors in the form of a company called GlaxoSmithKline, producer of a vaccine Cervarix. The third chapter analyses the parts of the marketing mix from two points of view - commercial and non-commercial. Despite the fact, that campaigns of pharmaceutical companies have above all the commercial character, we can not neglect their edifying character. The fourth chapter describes the communication tools chosen for this campaign. The end of the thesis is devoted to the analysis and the valuation of these tools and to the valuation of campaign itself. The work also includes conclusions of my own survey.

CREATION AND TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP IN COOPERATIVE Summary The theme of the thesis is Creation and termination of membership in cooperative. Cooperative as a legal entity is one type of an association of people for some specific purpose which is characterized by them. Any cooperative cannot be without its members. Therefore the legal amendment of membership's creation and termination in cooperative creates very important legal amendment part in cooperatives. The thesis, which has introductory and closing chapter too, is divided into five chapters which are arranged by way, whose goal is to give a systematic explanation of creation and termination of membership in cooperative in the Czech Republic. The thesis includes relevant decisions of the Czech courts and opinions from books and articles. The introductory chapter contains the main purposes of the thesis. The first and second chapters are a common introduction to the law of cooperatives. The first chapter provides a brief historical law sources explanation of cooperatives and valid legal amendment of cooperatives. Costs and benefits of the privatization process in a period of transition economy in the Czech Republic since 1990

The Czech Republic went through transformation of economy in the 90s. The key part of this proces was privatisation. It became the most important political economy proces in the history of the Czech Republic. The privatisation proces especially the nonstandard voucher privatisation is still important topic of public, politics and economic discussion. Purpose of this thesis is to evaulate the privatisation proces in the terms of its revenues and costs. The first chapter is focused on the economic history of privatisation ideas and its use in political practice. The main part is devoted to the analysis of the privatization process in the Czech Republic. Evaluated are the various methods of privatisation and the process as a whole. The final two chapters are focused on the comparison of the Czech privatization processes with the same processes in Hungary and Poland. Evaluated is the speed of the privatization process, the fiscal impacts and impact on the development of selected macroeconomic indicators. The working hypothesis was confirmed: The proceeds of the privatization process exceeded its costs.
