Stereoscopic projection
Vlachová, Jana ; Hromadová, Jana (advisor) ; Surynková, Petra (referee)
Title: Stereoscopic Projection Author: Jana Vlachová Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Jana Hromadová, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: Jana.Hromadova@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: This graduation thesis deals with a special case of a double-central projection - the stereoscopic projection, whereas the position of the centres of projection and the projection plane is adjusted to the conditions of the human vision. The thesis introduces a brief historical development of the imaging and the stereoscopy itself, basic biological and optical characteristics of a human eye and vision and the principles of stereoscopic projection. Furthermore it occupies with the procedures of making stereoscopic drawings and photographs along with the methods of their observation and creating some necessary tools using generally available materials. The end of this thesis is devoted to the possibilities of not only practical usage of the stereoscopy, but mainly of its application in the descriptive geometry teaching. The thesis includes many stereoscopic pictures, some of them are viewable with the lens- glasses or the anaglyph-glasses accompanied in the end of this thesis. Keywords: double-central projection, stereoscopic projection, anaglyph

Fundaments for modelling of transitional flow with heat transfer during the production of glass by drawing in the tin bath
Příhoda, Jaromír
Approaches of the mathematical modelling of flow fields at the production of drawn glass in the tin bath are summarized. An analysis of suitable advanced turbulence models including transition models and models of turbulent heat transfer for the mathematical model based on the averaged Navier-Stokes equations. Described models are fulfilled by the constitutive relations for the thermodynamic features of the liquid tin allowing the closure of the system of governing equations.

Lighting workshop
Matějka, Jiří ; Horáček, Jan (referee) ; Pelikán, Josef (advisor)
The object of this work is to design and implement an application for interactive experiments with local illumination models. The user can arbitrarily define an illumination model with mathematical formulas and mark certain parameters to be changeable. While such parameters are changed, the program smoothly draws an updated 3D scene. The scene can be defined in the text format, while several scenes are bundled with the program. Two predefined well-known illumination models are also bundled with the program - Strauss' and Phong's model.

Libuše Bráfová - attitudes towards living in family circumstances
Urbanová, Berenika ; Jančík, Drahomír (referee) ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor)
Libuše Bráfová, whose maiden name was Riegrová, was born on 20th of June 1860 in Prague. Her grandfather was František Palacký, famous Czech historian of 19th century and her father was an important politician, František Ladislav Rieger. In addition, her family belonged to Czech cultural elite of this time. Libuše spent her childhood on either at Mac Neven's Palace in Prague or the family summer residence in Maleč near Chotěboř. Libuše Riegrová spoke French, German, English and Russian language, she had lessons in History, Literature, Theology, Geography, Mathematics, Accounting and many more. Her drawing teacher was Amalie Manesová. She also visited shool of piano play. She was brought up in Bolzanos creed, but her faith was not so strong as her siste's, Marie. Figure of Josef Švejk
Krabsová, Veronika ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee) ; Peterka, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the main character of an unfinished four-part novel by Jaroslav Hašek, The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk During the World War. The protagonist of this work, Josef Švejk, is one of the most discussed issues in Czech literature. His character has stirred emotions since as early as the 1920's. The chapter "Classification of Interpretations" maps changes in Czech expert literary opinion regarding Josef Švejk (Švejk as a Sancho-Panza type, Švejk as a fairytale personality, Švejk as a storyteller and humorist, etc.). The longest part of the thesis is dedicated to the characteristics of the ambivalent hero: a physical characterization (it is interesting that Josef Švejk was never described in detail in the book; we mostly draw on illustrations by Josef Lada), a psychological characterization (readers have some misgivings about Josef Švejk; they don't know whether the figure is an idiot or a clever fellow) and a language (linguistic communication, diction and anecdotes describe Josef Švejk in large measure). This text also includes information about the genesis of protagonist Josef Švejk: The Good Soldier Švejk and Other Strange Stories - Josef Švejk before the World War; The Good Soldier Švejk in Captivity - Josef Švejk written during the War; The Fateful Adventures...

Perception of draws of special shape
Kubíková, Tereza ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Pilous, Derek (referee)
This bachelor work studies the Perception of draws of special shape. The objective is to determine whether the success in reproduction of images grows in accordance with the age of a child. The problem is beeing examined on a group of ten children. Five boys and five girls, all between the age of five to seven years. Research was carried out in Prague Montessori infant school. In the first part of theoretical section I discuss child mind development according to developmental psychology. The second part of theoretical section is dedicated to mathematical point of view. Both of these chapters are necessary for practical section of my Bachelor work.

Taxation and transport
Kocsisová, Tereza ; Vítek, Leoš (advisor) ; Pavel, Jan (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to find suitable regression models between the chosen statistical data of transport and GDP per capita and determine whether these models are statistically significant. The first part is a theoretical introduction to the problems of transport in terms of economics, as well as a description of methods of regression analysis, which is used in the practical part. The practical part draws data from Eurostat's website that provide for this thesis sufficient statistical basis. The data are graphically processed as scatter charts, based on these are determined mathematical equation of regression. The choice of suitable regression analysis is based on coefficient of determination and significance level is alpha = 0,05.

Microbiological project aimed at the adherence to hygienic habits
Tarabová, Eva ; Skýbová, Jana (referee) ; Pavlasová, Lenka (advisor)
The presented diploma work deals with microbiological project aimed at the adherence to hygienic habits. The principal aim of this project is to draw attention of primary and secondary school students to the necessity of careful and proper hand washing. Professional aspects of this work serve as a theoretical basis for individual versions of the project. The practical part of the work deals on the one hand with the project itself and its versions for different types of shools and on the other hand with responses to questionaires which results indicated the suitability of this project to be included in teaching.

Analysis of Exchange Rate Regimes under Conditions of Economic Transition
Stejskal, Jan ; Taušer, Josef (advisor) ; Plchová, Božena (referee)
This paper concentrates on the analysis of currency crises in economies undergoing economic transition. The papaer begins with a brief introduction of contemporary exchnage rate regimes, which is followed by an analysis of the history of the World monetary system. The following chapters concentrate on the analysis of the monetary development in selected transitional economies. In case of the the first one, The Czech Republic, the analysis includes the period from the times of the centrally planed economy, through the initial transformation and the currency crisis of 1997 to the present day. In case of the other countries included in this paper, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Icelnad, the analysis concentrates on the current critical development in these economies. Apart from the analysis of the selected currency crises, the objective of this paper is to draw conclusions relevant to the future development of currency policies in the transitional economies.

The face safety pillar assessment for underground construction
Zapletal, Adam ; Černý,, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The master thesis parametrically compares different methods to determine the required lengths of the safety pillar when building secondary urban collector in Brno. The analytical calculation by Šedivý is compared with mathematical modeling executed in the program Plaxis 2D 2015.02. version and also in the program Plaxis 3D Introductory 2013 version.
