Comparison of health insurance systems in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany

Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema "Vergleich der Krankenversicherungssysteme in der Tschechischen Republik und in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland". Zwischen den gesetzlichen Krankenversicherungssystemen der Tschechischen Republik und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bestehen viele Unterschiede und Besonderheiten. Es zeigt sich, dass beide Systeme auch eine ganze Reihe von gemeinsamen Aspekten aufweisen. Die Arbeit besteht aus sieben Kapiteln, wobei sich jedes Kapitel einem besonderen Aspekt der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung widmet. Im ersten Kapitel wird eine historische Entwicklung erklärt, wobei im Unterabschnitt 1 dieses Kapitels die historische Entwicklung in der Tschechischen Republik behandelt wird, während der Unterabschnitt 2 sich der Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland widmet. Das zweite Kapitel setzt sich mit der rechtlichen Regelung beider Staaten auseinander. Dieses Kapitel ist in zwei Teile untergliedert, wobei der erste Teil sich mit der Regelung in der Tschechischen Republik beschäftigt und der zweite Teil die Situation in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland beschreibt. Medical Tourism within the Czech Republic

The thesis analyses factors influencing medical tourism within the Czech Re- public where districts ("okresy") and regions ("kraje") are considered as the units where the patient can travel to receive health care. The dataset was pro- vided by the Czech general health insurance (VZP). The research covers the period 2011-2014 and reveals the differences between "medical tourism" for hospitalizations and for medical treatments and between travelling into other districts ("okresy") and travelling into other regions ("kraje") for medical ser- vice in the analyzed regions of the Czech Republic. The results statistically approved how particular diagnoses, their seriousness, age, gender, availability of health care and other factors influence travelling for health care in the Czech Republic. Ethical Aspects of Migrants' access to Health Care in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis "Ethical aspects of migrants' access to healthcare in the Czech Republic" focuses on healthcare accessibility for migrants in the Czech Republic and looks at the issue from an ethical perspective. It identifies and describes the main problematic aspects of foreigners' access to Czech healthcare and analyses them from a moral standpoint. The principals of Christian social ethics, basic tenets of Christian anthropology and biblical imperatives, including those focusing on the biblical concept of a foreigner and its approach to them are used as bases for the analyses. The thesis further concentrates on healthcare access in relation to human rights and asks whose responsibility it is to respect and fulfill them. The thesis refers to the broader context of the issue in question and specifies further ethical challenges it entails. The thesis aims to suggest possible solutions of the presented problems and to identify those most ethically adequate. This involves presenting key actors of the possible changes as well as describing the current legal development. Home childbirths in the context of the Czech health

This thesis deals with framing of homebirths in the Czech Republic. It is focused on the interpretation of homebirths in the Czech mass and alternative media. The goal of this paper is find out what kind of discourse dominate about homebirths in public discussion, against which attitude to childbirth it is in conflict and if this interpretation correspond with "real" practise of homebirths. I used discourse analysis for uncover discourses in Czech media and the in-depth interview with mothers for detecting the process, risks and experience of homebirth (was compared with the experience of childbirths in hospital). The secondary goal of the thesis is to discover how much are reflected the people involved in this issue. Theoretically, the paper is based on framing theory and the concept of human rights. The sources of analysis are composed of the Czech media articles (2014-2017) and the statements of mothers interviewed.
Continuity of Hospices and Hospitals

This work deals with continuity of inpatient hospices and hospitals in the Czech Republic. In this issue i examine the status of inpatient hospices in the health system and in the social system, reflecting the taboo of death in continuity of care and alternatives of education in palliative care. The work consists of three main parts. The first part involves determining the aims of the work, a description of research methods, theoretical and value foundations and definition of basic terms associated with hospice care. In the second part i focus on the reflection of current situation of hospices in the Czech Republic. Based on the analysis of documents i describe the funding and legislative basis for hospices. The third part is based on qualitative research. Using expert survey, i examined the views of professionals working in hospices. i also analyze the gained knowledge and divide it into individual topics. The key findings include that the interviewed experts evaluate the continuity of hospices and hospitals as affirmative. Capacity of hospices and funding are ceasing to be the main problems. However in the Czech Republic is absence of system of palliative care and the integration of palliative care into general medical disciplines.
The system of providing of medical and physiotherapeutic care for adult physically disabled people in the Czech Republic: The connection among medical and physiotherapeutic care, integration and the quality of life

The diploma thesis named "The system of providing of medical and physiotherapeutic care for adult physically disabled people in the Czech Republic: The connection among medical and physiotherapeutic care, integration and the quality of life" maps a particular kinds of medical and physiotherapeutic services provided (it includes for instance ambulatory physiotheraphy and bath medication) and offered by the system to the people with physical impairment. The data were obtained from qualitative interviews made with patients and also with specialists who works on in the field of medical-physiotherapeutic and social care. The autobiographical method was also used during 4 the research. Each kind of the care provided are valuated by patients - recipients of the care and and by specialists - persons who provide services. We esspecially focused on the number, availability, frequence and quality. We followed namely the possibility of getting and need of each kind of a medical-physiotherapeutic service: it's sequence and it's involvement to the possibility of the integration and the quality of life of the people with a physical impairment. Civic amenities in Pacov in the 1960s

This diploma thesis named Civic amenities in Pacov in the 1960s examines a civic amenities in the town of Pacov in the 1960s within regional history. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe the development of defined areas of civic amenities (health care, retail network, communal services) providing some (basic) needs of citizens in the chosen city and time period. The primary source of this research are the archival sources from the examined period. This thesis at first introduces the research topic and purposes of the work, important concepts and sources used, then the national historical context of the examined period. The main part of the thesis follows: a description of the development of specific areas of civic amenities. The thesis ends with visual materials related to the topic. Provision of Health Care in Selected EU Countries and its Reimbursement

Provision of Health Care in Selected EU Countries and its Reimbursement Subject matter of this thesis is to analyze, compare and evaluate way of provision and reimbursement of health care in selected EU countries including Czech Republic. All investigated countries deal with budgetary difficulties while providing health care. This thesis aspires to find out a legal solution with respect to economic principles in order the system of provision and reimbursement of health care was financially sustainable. Focus of thesis lays in health services (health care in narrow sense), medicines and health appliances are mentioned occasionally. Terminology of the text is not confined to terms of health services or health care, both terms are used substitutable. Problems of provision and reimbursement of health care does not inhere in "services" or "care". Chapters are structured according to particular EU countries. First and most comprehensive chapter is devoted to Czech Republic, its legal regulations are default comparison test. Short historical retrospect follows overview of legal provisions with focus on problematic or attention worthy sections.
