Kouřilová, Anna ; Klenková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Durdilová, Lucie (referee)
The bachelor thesis is of special pedagogical character. Its aim is to find out how speech therapy intervention is provided to children in a "home school". The main goals are to find out whether the home school, as a kind of alternative education, provides sufficient speech therapy for pupils with impaired communication skills and at the same time what kind of speech prevention it normally provides to pupils during lessons. This goal is fulfilled through the analysis of documents and the subsequent creation of four case reports of children with impaired communication ability. Another complementary aim of the practical part is to clarify the reasons that lead parents to choose alternative home school for their children, what is the motivation of parents, knowledge of its concept and awareness of other alternative primary schools. It was found that the home school provides sufficient speech therapy for children with any type of impaired communication ability and that in these children a significant improvement in all language aspects of speech occurs. The research also showed that the main reason for choosing a home school was previous negative experience with a regular primary school.
