Integrace zahraničních vědecko-výzkumných a akademických pracovníků v České republice
FICHTNEROVÁ, Eva
Foreign experts in higher education and research institutions guarantee international scientific cooperation and the quality of educational programs. Some obstacles harm their quality of life and prevent them from engaging in the work process in a new social environment and from performing professional and scientific work, which affects not only their well-being and health but also the employer's competitiveness. The field of services for foreigners on campus is not systematically researched in the Czech Republic, and therefore there are not enough theoretical basis, information, or procedures recommended for the process of their integration. There is a lack of setting up a system of services and rules involving intercultural and ethical approaches for adaptation to the new environment. This dissertation aimed to find out selected aspects of the integration of foreign scientific-research and academic workers in scientific-research and higher education institutions in the Czech Republic. Quantitative research was chosen, the research tool was a questionnaire, and all public universities in the Czech Republic and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic were approached. Feedback was obtained from 221 respondents. Data were analyzed in SASD 1.4.10. and SPSS, version 24, and supplemented with qualitative research ? by coding answers to open questions in the Atlas.ti program. The analyzes demonstrated statistical connections between the variables and revealed problematic areas and shortcomings in the work, social and cultural integration of foreign experts. As the biggest obstacles, respondents identified complicated administration, the Czech language as the only official language, and problems with providing basic life needs (accommodation, school facilities, health care), but also pointed to socio-cultural differences. They identified shortcomings in the services provided, which currently vary in quality and are different for each institution. This is the first and very unique feedback with examples that should lead to further research in this area and the incorporation of evidence-based practice within integration strategies. The result of the dissertation not only identified selected aspects of integration, but also resulted in a recommendation for the implementation of complex integration services for foreign professionals disadvantaged by a foreign environment, which will help in removing obstacles and support the creation of measures and rules for solving dilemmas arising from the diversity of cultures, social values, and religions. The practical impact of the proposed concept should result in satisfied foreign employees with good mental and physical health and be a prerequisite for problem-free integration into our society. A high level of quality of life in a scientific and academic environment will thus be able to guarantee the improvement of the Czech Republic's excellence in the field of education, science, and research. The findings should be an impetus for further intercultural education and the deepening of internationalization efforts at home.
Inovative centre STU Bratislava
Dolníková, Denisa ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the design of the STU Innovation Center in Bratislava. The project is based on the architectural study of the subject AG033-Atelier of architectural creation 3 and the construction study of the subject AG036 Complex project. The area of the inner block is currently visually chaotic and underutilized. The goal of the design is to create a valuable space for students, employees and the public on the campus and therefore make it more accessible to the wider community. An essential part was the connection of the inner block with the surrounding environment. The designed building contains three above-ground floors and underground garages. The mass of the object can be divided into two parts - the part with heavy laboratories and above-ground laboratories, which is rectangular and the other slanting part with spaces for students and public. The first and second above-ground floors contain an open gallery and multi-purpose spaces. The open and airy space, not only adds the representativeness of the whole design but also provides an opportunity for short-term rest. The third above-ground floor is mainly designated to accomodate start-up offices and the rectorate. The external appearance of the object is designed with clean and simple lines in mind. The glazed parts of the building are shielded with a white aluminum perforated sheetmetal. Other parts of the facade are covered in smooth white plaster. The entire expression of the object is therefore characterized by the timelessness that the Innovation Center demands. The surroundings of the building are functionally designed for the rest and free movement of students. There is plenty of greenery and places for rest, or various events of STU faculties.
PIARKL
Tomková, Sára ; Matoušková, Petra (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to find a use for the Piarist monastery in Lipník nad Bečvou, which is currently abandoned and does not fulfill any function. Based on the analysis, we decided to design a building for the Faculty of Pharmacy that would combine space for education and science. At the same time, we try to preserve the original character of the building, while all incorporated elements should underline its historical beauty and functional potential. We open up the original space with several cramped rooms and we design laboratories, classrooms, auditoriums or garden greenhouses and fields in the exterior, which are used for educational and research activities of the faculty. Besides that, it includes spaces for ordinary people of Lipník nad Bečvou, such as a teahouse, library, pharmacy or exhibition spaces so they have the opportunity to use the local services in a pleasant environment and learn information about the field of pharmacy or the cultivation of medicinal plants. The arrival of young, educated people to the city is also a significant benefit of the monastery's reconstruction. Two open atriums that are surrounded by the building are parts of the monastery. Thanks to them, a lot of daylight enters the building. They connect the outdoor space in front of the monastery with the garden at the back. The new proposed entrance is therefore made up of glass so you can see the atrium and the garden when you enter the building. The important point in the central part of the monastery is a large, open and airy space with a staircase that connects the various parts of the building. It provides a meeting place for students, teachers and other members of the university who can spend time together, exchange knowledge, and learn.
Motivation of nurses for academic education
FUNDOVÁ, Simona
In the presented diploma thesis we focus on three basic goals. The first goal is to map the interest of students in the field of Practical Nurse and in the study of nursing at universities and colleges. The second goal is to find out how students of Practical Nurse are interested in entering nursing practice. The third goal is focused on the interest of these students in entering the professions outside the medical fields. The theoretical part of the thesis describes some theories of motivation, education of nurses, the nursing profession, the personality of the nurse, the role of the nurse and the importance of higher education for nurses. The empirical part of the diploma thesis is created through quantitative and qualitative research. Research is focused on the future of Practical nurse students and factors that affect them in choosing universities or colleges. The quantitative research was conducted using a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed to students at all secondary medical schools in the South Bohemian Region. A qualitative research survey was mediated through a semi-structured interview. Interviews were conducted with ten students who want to study nursing at a university or college. In the diploma thesis we came to several conclusions. We learned that more than half of our respondents want to continue their studies in nursing at a university or college. On the contrary, less than a quarter of respondents wants to start working. If students want to start working, in most cases they choose a profession as a practical nurse. The remaining part of respondents wants to study other fields at university or college. The main reason that leads respondents to study nursing at university is to increase qualifications and competencies. The work provides an overview and issues of the direction of students in the field of Practical Nurse. The results of the research survey can help universities and colleges to map the future direction of students in the field of Practical Nurse. Also factors that may occur at universities and colleges that influence students in choosing to study nursing at a university or college.
Influence of the pedagogical comunication on the educational process within the university
VÁCLAVÍČKOVÁ, Vendula
The thesis deals with pedagogical communication from the point of view of university students and the experience gained from their studies. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. Each chapter introduces the most important concepts of this thesis - communication, pedagogical communication, educational process, and the teacher as an important person in the student's life. The theoretical part prepares the reader for the research part and provides initial insight into the issues of pedagogical communication and their functions and rules. The practical part includes an introduction to the chosen method for the research - Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). For the research, I used key excerpts and interview responses from three full-time students at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The main indicators were the students' acquired experiences and insights into communication and relationships with teachers on the University grounds. The respondents are aware of the influence that teachers have on them and this is reflected mainly in non-verbal communication.

In the edition of the Wittenberg University Register we will also search for other students from Bohemia and Moravia and we will try to gather information about them from various sources (for example from their alba amicorum, diaries or literature) to understand where they came from to Wittenberg, their social structure, their lives and subsequent careers.
The Third Role of the University - from Elite to Mass Education
Voborská, Jasmína ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Tesárek, Jan (referee)
The bachelor's thesis "The Third Role of the University - from Elite to Mass Education" deals with the concept of massification in tertiary education and its influence on the field of sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Prague and the Faculty of Philosophy in Prague. The aim of a bachelor's thesis is to understand and then compare how these two groups of students reflect the changes associated with massification and how these changes affect their motivation and attitude to study. The starting concept of bachelor's thesis is the already mentioned concept of massification, which makes it possible to partially analyse changes in universities associated with expansion and increase in student numbers that affect not only students' attitudes to education, but also their very motivation to study. In the theoretical part of my bachelor's thesis, I am engaged in a general explanation of the concept of massification and its effect on the field of sociology taught at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Prague and the Faculty of Philosophical Studies in Prague. In the empirical section, I describe the research design of the work and the subsequent analysis of the data obtained. By analysing semi-structured interviews with students of two Prague faculties, I answer whether the changes associated with...

Cerhová, Anna ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (advisor) ; Vranka, Marek (referee)
The bachelor thesis aims to analyse the development of communication of public universities in the Czech Republic over the years. The thesis focuses on the period before the Covid-19 pandemic, during the pandemic and then analyses the changes in communication after the pandemic. The aim of the thesis is to identify the tools that universities used in crisis communication and their impact on contemporary communication. Key research questions include discovering how universities communicated, whether they were forced to adopt new communication strategies, and whether they intend to continue these new communication trends. As part of the research investigation, the thesis examines communication on social media through content analysis and then verifies how the target group perceives the transformation of communication through a questionnaire survey among students. In a broader perspective, this thesis aims to highlight the importance of crisis communication of public institutions and to suggest possible solutions that could contribute to more effective communication.
Motivation of students and university graduates to study secondary vocational schools
Křenová, Kateřina ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the motivation of university graduates and students to study at a secondary vocational school and their use of selected fields in work and personal life. In the thesis, I pay attention to the origin of factors influencing the choice of education, such as their family, the usability of gained knowledge at work and in everyday life, and supplementing practical skills in their field of work. The theoretical chapter introduces the reader to the theoretical background on which the research and its outputs are based, namely the theory of sociology of professions, the process of professionalization, the theory of social constructivism, and the phenomenon of a crisis of 'office' work causing a transition to manual work. The theoretical basis is supplemented by the historical development and the current situation in education in the Czech Republic. As a method of answering the research questions was chosen an analysis of semi-structured qualitative interviews, which were supported by an analysis of quantitative data collected through questionnaires. The research sample was identified as students or graduates at the age of at least 18, who completed the secondary vocational school a maximum of 10 years ago. Based on the analysis of data, the work should find out what are the...
