Far-right Subculture in the Free State of Saxony

Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá subkulturou krajní pravice ve Svobodném státě - pojednáno v multidisciplinárním kontextu, práce vysvětluje důvod také využívá politologické roviny, vymezuje pojem pravicového extremismu a ukazuje jeho rávní úrovni je rozvedena reakce státu ve formě legislativních a represivních opatření. V kontextu občanského vzdělávání jsou prezentovány instituce a aktéři, kteří v Sasku na tomto poli působí s cílem eliminovat pravicový extremismus ve společnosti. Text rovněž definuje, jak velké nebezpečí subkultura ve společnosti představuje. Vláda se snaží s pravicovým extremismem vypořádat, i když se žádná politická strana nedostává přímo do parlamentu. Jde především o hrozbu společenskou spočívající v páchání trestné činnosti, schopnosti mobilizace a tvoření chybných ideologických přesvědčení. Stát chce primárně svoje občany chránit před kriminální činností, vzdělávat je a rozvíjet demokratické uvědomění, přičemž systém občanského vzdělávání Spolkové republiky Německo je celosvětově považován za vzor, jelikož se obor po druhé světové válce stal díky specifickému vnímání pravicového extremismu součástí německé identity

Drum and Bass Connect us: the Characteristics of Drum and Bass Listeners Related to this Genre

(in English) This bachelor's degree focuses on the characteristics of listeners of the music genre Drum and Bass (DnB). The main method of research were semi-structured interviews with respondents in the form of qualitative research and participant observation. The respondents are long-term DnB listeners, the participant observation took place in clubs and festivals focusing on Drum and Bass throughout 2018. Drum and Bass is originally a British music genre that has existed in the Czech Republic for many years now. This bachelor's degree focuses mainly on the long-term listeners perception of Drum and Bass, the role Drum and Bass has in their personal and social lives, the relationships they have with other listeners and the transformation of this genre during their active research. The listeners are a diverse group that do not form a subculture, but do share similar characteristics and views about contemporary Drum and Bass and are also interested in actively engaging in DnB as DJ's.

Anotation: Špidlová, Z.: Clothing as a means for self-identification and self-representation and possible didactic applications of the theme in art education. [Diploma thesis] Prague, 2013 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Art education, 224 p. (Attachements: Diary and file documenting the art part of diploma thesis) This thesis examines the phenomenon of clothing, its semiotic function in the context of postmodern society and social aspects with emphasis on identification with a particular social group. The research brings knowledge about two groups, their clothing and social contexts. The groups are the costume culture of the Alto Minho in Portugal and the goth subculture. The results of the research are directly connected to the art part, the output of which is a clothing model combining elements of both of these groups. Didactic section presents findings on the diversity of interpretation of students from the seventh grade of basic school and the second year of middle school when dealing with the topic of identity and subculture applied on clothing. The work is focused on the old part of the town, where many monuments, buildings, walls, columns are marked by this art. The work presents graffiti in all its forms, both legal and illegal and tries to figure out where is the border between vandalism and art, then investigates the graffiti author's relationship to history, to other people's property, the attitudes of the population towards this subculture and the expression in spray. Meaning of Tattoo in hardcore subculture

This work deals with the phenomenon of tattoo in hardcore subculture. In the theoretical part it reflects the transformation of the concept of subcultures in his historical progress, with an emphasis on the concept of style in the connection of the Center of contemporary culture Studies and post subcultural theory, especially the writing of David Muggleton. The diachronic perspective, this work also deals with the phenomenon of tattoo and its functions and meanings to it in today's society ascribed. An integral part of the theoretical part is to describe hardcore only in terms of its progress in the USA and in Czechoslovakia or Czech Republic, but also in terms of the side of music and shared ideology, which is the main key featuring to this subculture. Concepts described in the theoretical part are then used in actual research, which is conducted by using qualitative methodology. Exploration aims to describe the meanings and functions of the hardcore subculture and determine whether they are content and motivation ascribed to tattoo influenced subcultural ideologies, or whether it is primarily an expression of the contemporary individualistic discourse. Abstract The diploma thesis independently follows on the author's bachelor thesis. It briefly describes the substance and the history of the graffiti phenomenon with the focus on current situation and local scene. Then, it points out less frequent questions and problems that are based on the substance of graffiti itself. The text tries to give important information and impulses to the teachers of art lessons, who often have misinterpreted and partly idealized idea of graffiti. The thesis also focuses on the state of current Prague street art that is on the decline at the moment. The text combines particular examples with consideration passages that deal with general topics like non/conformity, freedom, safety, creativity, ilussions, relationship to surroundings or private property. The Subculture of Tattoo - The Content Analysis of Inked Magazine

The theses named Subculture of a tattoo, Content analysis of a magazine Inked is primary focused on the nowadays phenomenon of a tattoo, there then the whole development of this social subculture. The aim of this thesis is to sum up and analyse the term of subculture, to see in detail the historical beginnings and development of tattooing, to describe functions, motivations and the reasons of an actual act of a tattoo. The main focus will be set on the American lifestyle magazine Inked. I will try to analyse this printed media, which targets on the tattoo subculture, culture itself, style and art. This thesis will characterise the magazine and will basically follow the Inked in two year time period. Which are the years 2009 and 2010, my interest is focused in this theme agenda and its development during this period of time. The researching method will then be a quantitative content analysis.
