Business rule learning using data mining of GUHA association rules
Vojíř, Stanislav ; Strossa, Petr (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee) ; Kouba, Zdeněk (referee) ; Gregor, Jiří (referee)
In the currently highly competitive environment, the information systems of the businesses should not only effectively support the existing business processes, but also have to be dynamically adaptable to the changes in the environment. There are increasing efforts at separation of the application and the business logic in the information system. One of the appropriate instruments for this separation is the business rule approach. Business rules are simple, understandable rules. They can be used for the knowledge externalization and sharing also as for the active control and decisions within the business processes. Although the business rule approach is used for almost 20 years, the various specifications and practical applications of business rules are still a goal of the active research. The disadvantage of the business rule approach is great demands on obtaining of the rules. There has to be a domain expert, who is able to manually write them. One of the problems addressed by the current research is the possibility of (semi)automatic acquisition of business rules from the different resources - unstructured documents, historical data etc. This dissertation thesis addresses the problem of acquisition (learning) of business rules from the historical data of the company. The main objective of this thesis is to design and validate a method for (semi)automatic learning of business rules using the data mining of association rules. Association rule are a known data mining method for discovering of interesting relations hidden in the data. Association rules are comprehensible and explainable. The comprehensibility of association rules is suitable for the use of them for learning of business rules. For this purpose the user can use not only simple rules discovered using the algorithm Apriori or FP-Growth, but also more complex association rules discovered using the GUHA method. Within this thesis is used the procedure 4ft-Miner implemented in the data mining system LISp Miner. The first part of this thesis contains the description of the relevant topics from the research of business rules and association rules. Business rules is not a name of one specification of standard but rather a label of the approach to modelling of business logic. As part of the work there is defined a process of selection of the most appropriate specification of business rules for the selected practical use. Consequently, the author proposed three models of involving of data mining of association rules into business rule sets. These models contain also the definition of a model for the transformation of GUHA association rules in the business rules for the system JBoss Drools. For the possibility of learning of business rules using the data mining results from more than one data set, the author proposed a knowledge base. The knowledge base is suitable for the interconnection of business rules and data mining of association rules. From the perspective of business rules the knowledge base is a term dictionary. From the perspective of data mining the knowledge base contains some background knowledge for data preprocessing and preparation of classification models. The proposed models have been validated using practical implementations in the systems EasyMiner (in conjunction with JBoss Drools) and Erian. The thesis contains also a description of two model use cases based on real data from the field of marketing and the field of health insurance.

Social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics
Urbášková, Kateřina ; Krejčová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Langer, Tomáš (referee)
This final thesis deals with the issue of social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics. The theoretical foundations of this work is to define the term of social skills and is explained his importance to the society. A substantial part of the theory is also devoted to the social skills in connection with the Framework educational program. Within the empirical part, an analysis of the FEP for BA is performed, through which the state of the method concentrated on the social skills of students is determined. Furthermore, through a questionnaire survey, the current state of acquired social skills of selected students from the first years on BA is investigated and their view on this issue. This work is also focusing on whether teachers in the Economics produce sufficient appropriate environment that would allow students to develop their social skills. The final goal is to suggest specific games and activities that allow students to improve these skills in the Economics.

The influence of small greenkeeping mechanization on stand composition and biomass production
ZEMAN, Jaroslav
The main theme of this piece of work is to assess the influence of small mechanisation for maintenance of grass areas; therefore this work includes the description of grass areas as well as the overview of small mechanisation for maintenance of grass areas. Two types of mowers working on different principles of cutting were chosen to make a comparison. This work presents the results of measurement taken on 2 experimental grass areas treated by chosen types of mowers. There are results of monitoring of agrobotanical groups reported (coverage of grasses, the juncaceae, the cyperaceae, the clovers, and herbs) and coverage of grasses is graphically depicted in this work. Different results of grass coverage were statistically evaluated and compared just as the dry matter yields. Appropriate treatment of grass areas (mowing, supplementary seeding) as well as appropriate cutting system of small grass areas was recommended.

Ruby programming language and its advisability of inclusion in education
Porazil, Tomáš ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Oraný, Vladimír (referee)
The thesis presents the Ruby language and deals with the idea of including this language in the teaching of computer science at the University of Economics in Prague (UEP). In the beginning of their studies, all students have to complete two compulsory science subjects related to programming, which is the first experience with programming for many of them. Currently, the primary programming language being taught is Java. This work aims to present Ruby language, as an alternative to currently taught Java or at least as a language which the students could continue with after studying Java. In the introduction of the thesis the reader gets familiar with the history of language with its philosophy, which stood at the birth of Ruby and the basic concepts on which it is based. Next there are presented the basic constructs and syntax which are necessary to understand the final part of the paper, which discusses the different programming techniques that can be used in Ruby. The final chapter highlights the features of Ruby, for which it would be appropriate to include Ruby in the languages taught at UEP. These include especially clear and concise syntax, possibility to use different programming paradigms and creating internal DSL. The practical outcome of the whole work is a web application that offers an interactive form of the work itself. It is possible to browse the whole work in the internet and all mentioned examples of program code can be immediately tested in practice. The application outlines possible direction which can teaching programming languages take.
