Numerous examples of idioms for every animal are included to illustrate their individual characters.

The development and actual situation of the German dialect on the territory of Rio Grande do Sul
Pufflerová, Alena ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Hricsina, Jan (referee)
The subject matter of the thesis is the German dialect on the territory of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil): its origin, development and functioning. In 1824, following the invitation of the king, the first German settlers came to Brazil to colonize Rio Grande do Sul, which had until then been uninhabited. The second chapter is dedicated to the settlement of Rio Grande do Sul. Soon the Germans, who were regarded as a closed community with no desire to assimilate, began to provoke fears. This culminated in the era of the dictatorship of Vargas, the so-called Estado Novo (New State), during which the two basic human rights, namely the right to maintain the mother-tongue and the language of education right, were taken away. The language policy of Vargas constitutes the topic of the third chapter. German-Brazil is a cumulative name for the German dialects spoken in Brazil with a great deal of Portuguese language elements, on all language levels. Typologically, it is an example of a mixed language. The way in which this language functions is illustrated in the fourth chapter. During the last four generations, the number of German-Brazil speakers has been falling. While the older generation is bilingual, Portuguese prevails in the younger one. German-Brazil is spoken predominantly in the rural areas, where it is a...

Stalking

It presents the view that the only efficient solution to cases of pursuit is not only a matter of the police, but requires an interdisciplinary approach. It is mentioned a question of possible interventions and their effectiveness. At the end of the first part it is looked upon stalking by sociological view. In the second empirical part are presented three case studies of the real ex-partner stalking, they are compared and it is made a content analysis of short messages of one of the cases, which stalker sent to the victim.

Eça de Queirós' Correspondência de Fradique Mendes as a translation problem
Turková, Zuzana ; Pelán, Jiří (advisor) ; Grauová, Šárka (referee)
There are many books that come up to ones mind when the name of Eça de Queirós is mentioned. It is mainly Cousin Basílio and widely discussed The Sin of Father Amaro comes in second. A Correspondncia de Fradique Mendes is sometimes falsely being considered as a work of less importance but this witty book full of hidden meanings, symbols and philosophical contemplations brings many valuable innovations into Portuguese literature of the end of the nineteenth century. The paper is focused on search for solutions of difficulties that appear in connection with the translation of this specific text, on search of ways that may help the translator to overcome some obstacles of an interpretation Portuguese text into Czech. It identifies one key to success, which is a thorough comprehension of the original text and thorough knowledge of theory of translation. Such a comprehension requires wide range of information on which it can be based. These were presented in the first part of this paper, focused on author's life and work in context of Portuguese cultural background and in the second part, which analyses A Correspondncia de Fradique Mendes as a whole as well as the main character Fradique Mendes. The third part deals with general conception of translation on theoretical basis, pronounces specific problems that...

A Decision Procedure for the WSkS Logic

Dwarfism. Pathogenesis with a special focus on genetic factors.
Procházková, Lucie ; Daňková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Křepelová, Anna (referee)
Nanism is a kind of disorder characterized by an extremely small figure. It can be caused by hormonal, genetic or metabolic defects. This work, which is composed by study of materials in the form of article and publication mainly by foreign authors, is concerned with chosen types of nanism and their pathogenesis. All these types of this disease are caused by genetic defects in following genes: FGFR3, COMP, COL2A1, DTDST and PTH/PTHrP. Point mutations arising de novo are frequent cause of nanism and mostly are inherited autosomal- dominantly. It's a large group of disorders with different seriousness level: from light form like multiple epiphyseal dysplasia to lethal form such as thanatophoric dysplasia.

Code Assertions Verification Using Backward Symbolic Execution
Husák, Robert ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Parízek, Pavel (referee)
In order to prevent, detect and fix errors in software, various tools for programmers are available, while some of them are able to reason about the behaviour of the program. In the case of C# programming language, the main representatives are Microsoft FxCop, Code Contracts and Pex. Those tools can, indeed, help to build a highly reliable software. However, when a company wants to include them in the software development process, there is a significant overhead involved. Therefore, we created a "light- weight" assertion verification tool called AskTheCode that can help the user to focus on a particular problem at a time that needs to be solved. Because of its goal-driven approach, we decided to implement it using backward symbolic execution. Although it can currently handle only basic C# statements and data types, the evaluation against the existing tools shows that it has the potential to eventually provide significant added value to the user once developed further. Technologies, endowment and foreign trade: testing the Heckscher-Ohlin model on Czech data
Kroulíková, Šárka ; Semerák, Vilém (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Jakub (referee)
One may observe a growing trend of figure measuring the ration between export and gross domestic product that applies for almost all countries. In response to this phenomenon theories dealing with international trade becomes more important. The capability to identify some trends in commodity movements and determine advantages rising from bilateral trade are key aspects of economic growth and country development. This thesis deals with the analysis of international trade between Czech Republic and Germany. Fundamental determinant of trade between countries is Heckscher-Ohlin Theorem and as my research instrument I choose Input-Output methodology. I decided to use two types of calculation, while evaluating the validity of mentioned theory. First is Leontief methodology from 1954, which led to famous Leontief paradox. Second and more modern approach is the one developed by Riedel in 1974. In quantitative part of my analysis I focused my attention on two calculations with purpose to state factor endowment and country's production intensity. The meaning of this analysis is to confirm the validity of Heckscher-Ohlin Theorem, which would lead to conclusion that commodity movement between Czech Republic and Germany is driven by neoclassical theory of comparative advantage.

Automatizované získávání dat z veřejných rejstříků a generování dokumentů
Petrovský, Jonáš
The thesis deals with public registers, options of acquiring data from them and document generation. Firstly the system of basic registers is described and the overview of registers in Czech Republic is created. Then the module for data acquiring from chosen registers is created (in PHP). Finally the web application for generating standard types of documents (document model in XML, generating to PDF) is created. It is focused on agreements, but it can be extended on other document types. It consists of two modules: 1. administrative for user and document type management, 2. user for document management. Used technologies: FPDF, Nette, curl, PHP, MySQL, Apache.
