The factors affecting evolutionary diversification
Černá, Vladimíra ; Storch, David (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (referee)
The number of species on the Earth is estimated to lie between five to ten millions. All these species originated from a common ancestor, which appeared on our planet 3,5 bilion years ago. Speciation and extinction are responsible for the current species richness. Evolutionary diversification is the difference between speciation and extinction. There are several methods used to obtain the values of speciation, extinction and diversification rates. I will briefly explain some of these methods, outline the advantages and disadvantages of them. The aim of this paper is to summarize current knowledge of evolutionary diversification and factors that may affect it. In this search I focused on the studies dealing with factors that may affect several groups of organisms. Although many determinants of diversification were found, most of them affect only one group of organisms. Here I did not find any factor that would be common for the majority of taxa. Evolutionary diversification is probably influenced by different factors in different evolutionary lineages. Key words: diversification, speciation, radiation, diversity gradient

Building physics assessment of the roof structure
Konopík, Petr ; Janík, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kalousek, Miloš (advisor)
This theses deals with a structural design comparison of heat insulations implementation in flat roofs in light of heat engineering. It also adverts to possible structural design in terms of heat insulations distribution in a flat roof. There are many materials options. I show the possibilities of material solution and also advantages and disadvantages of the single sealing materials at these layers. In the aplication part of this thesis I deal with possible concepts of insulation and solution for a specific roof of an older apartment house in Brno, where I conducted a constructive exploration. There was developed and evaluated a few options of solutions considering the heat insulator used. The following computational programs were used for the evaluations: TEPLO, AREA, CUBE 3D.

Use surface electromyography in the clinical practice
Dobisová, Anna ; Crhonková, Radka (advisor) ; Demeková, Júlia (referee)
Surface electromyography is a non-invasive method of examination. Surface electrodes localized on the skin above the muscle record action potentials of particular muscles' motor units. Acquired EMG recordings enable to assess muscle activity, muscle fatigue or recruitment of particular muscles during the motion (timing) and muscle coordination. Modern EMG devices are compatible with a scale of sensors that record other biosignals and are able to synchronize them with EMG records. That's why SEMG is applied in neurology, physiotherapy, ergonomics, biomechanics, orthopaedics, prosthetics, sport and in other spheres. As a non-invasive method it has its advantages, but of course its limits as well. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Technical project for a camera system i a mountain hotel offering digital and analoque camera alternatives
Tománek, Jiří DiS ; Kos, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with a project of camera observation system for a mountain hotel. The project design goes from the enclosed lay-out plans of the building and from the camera system's requirements. It describes the solutions with analog CCTV cameras and with digital IP cameras. Graphic instruments as a Digital Video Recorder for analog system and as a high-powered computer for digital system are optimised to the number of cameras and the requirements on recording. The thesis describes all hardware and software used for execution of the project including the setting and bonding. The costs of single options and time needed for execution of the project are displayed in charts. The final part of the thesis explains the designed camera systems and their costs and describes their advantages and disadvantages.

Savings accounts
VLČKOVÁ, Jitka
This work is focused on savings accounts as a relatively new deposit product in the Czech financial trade. The majority of the domestic banking institutions offer savings accounts. Non-banking institutions (co-operative agricultural savings banks, so called "Kampelitchka") have recently begun competing with the banks for the sphere of savings accounts. The attention of the banks is focused on the savings accounts offered to natural persons. As for this product entrepreneurs are in essentially worse situation, because any banks have not offered them the savings accounts until recently. The only exceptions were so called ``packets{\crq}q, which were suitable only for some entrepreneurs, and moreover a client took the advantage of only few service trades of the packet. The banks concentrate especially on large and medium firms; however, they miss out small business men. The occurrence of offers of businessmen savings accounts is rising only very slowly in the financial trade. The information about savings accounts was gained mostly from the Internet, nowadays the biggest source of information. Thus the Internet as well as TV advertisement and friends{\crq} experience can help us to decide.

Transformation from C to VHDL Language
Mecera, Martin ; Kolář, Dušan (referee) ; Masařík, Karel (advisor)
The thesis describes the process of transformation of the behavior of processor described in C language into VHDL language. Individual steps of automatized transformation are compared to manual design of processor. The thesis highlights advantages of the internal representation of program in the form of graph. Optimizations based on various factors are introduced in this thesis. One of them are algebraic modifications of expressions. The time of computation or space requirements of the circuit can be lowered by proper aplication of properties of math operators - associativity, comutativity and distributivity. Special attention is payed to optimizations, that make use of parallelism of operations for the process of planning. Algorithms of time-constrained scheduling and resource-constrained scheduling are discussed. The end of this thesis is devoted to resource allocation.

Business Plan
Zajícová, Ivana ; Krátký, Petr (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The subject of this Master’s thesis is to define of the enterprise’s business aim and apply it to concrete business plan. The first part of this thesis concludes an entry to the sector of small and midle-sized enterprises; there are definitions of specific attributes of these enterprises, their advantages and disadvantages, and their importance for an economy and the procedure of processing the business plan. In practical part are applied theoretical findings including important analysis and calculations supporting defined goal. Thesis includes proposal for development of the company based on specific advantages and suppresed the most significant threats.

Reverse parallel configuration manager
Doležal, Petr ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor) ; Adámek, Jiří (referee)
Existing tools for build and configuration management of software projects often suffer from various drawbacks, the typical problems include, for example, a complicated notation of a project's configuration or difficulties with the portability of a configuration description between various platforms. This work analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the approaches used by existing implementations and it proposes the solution that is based on merging the well-established and interesting ideas of various existing solutions. An important part of the work is the implementation of a fully functional program according to the proposed design, which allows to test the solution in practice. The goal of the implementation is to avoid the disadvantages of existing similar programs while keeping their advantages.

Konstrukce výnosové křivky
Antas, Vilém ; Stádník, Bohumil (advisor) ; Teplý, Petr (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze the mathematical apparatus of the most widespread methods used for the yield curves construction. It aims to introduce not only the various of construction models but also to describe the whole process of creation, while discussing the advantages and disadvantage of individual methods. The first chapter focus on the general theory and the use of the term structure of interest rates in practice. The second part deals with the construction process itself and describes the most frequently used methods. The last chapter then shows the real application of selected methods on given data set and the use of the constructed yield curves for interest rate derivative valuation too.
