The budgetary institutions and the analysis of the budgetary situtation in the selected countries
Tomková, Stanislava ; Schneider, Ondřej (advisor) ; Gregor, Martin (referee)
This paper discusses the possible impact of budget institutions design on the fiscal performance in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The second chapter treats the theory of budgeting, outlines the main sources of excessive budgeting and the most common way of budget process in European countries. The third part of the work briefly concludes the main problems of the budgetary rules on the European level. The emphasis of the paper is on the Czech Republic and Slovakia and their fiscal situation and related institutions. The paper modifies the work of Holger Gleich who followed the hypothesis that there exists the relation between fiscal performance and national budget institutions and accomplished the econometric survey on this topic for the period 1994 - 1998. The purpose of our paper was to extend the work of Gleich and point our look to two selected economies in the time period of 2000 - 2003. Chapter four of the paper deals with the public finance situation and relevant budget institutions in these countries in this period. At the end we complete our research of the quality of budgetary institutions from the fiscal discipline and centralization point of view. Part five concludes. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The Neorenaissance Church Architecture in Bohemia and Moravia
Sládeček, Petr ; Kuthan, Jiří (advisor) ; Rakušanová, Marie (referee) ; Švácha, Rostislav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to systematically analyze the Neorenaissance churches and interpret them within the context of the nineteenth century architecture. During the second half of the nineteenth century in the central Europe the Neorenaissance style had become ubiquitous. However, its extensive use for secular buildings contrasts with the situation in the field of sacral architecture. New churches were designed mainly in the Neogothic style; the Neoromanesque style was also acceptable, though less frequent. Widespread reluctance towards the Renaissance, mainly among the clergy, but also among some architects, is considered to be the main reason. In monument preservation the cult of Gothic resulted in the Neogothic purism, to which usually fell victim any "ungothic" part of a historical building. Therfore, the number of Neorenaissance churches, compared to that of Neogothic, is significantly smaller. The Neo-Renaissance style, however enjoyed great popularity among Czech evangelical churches since the 1880's, mainly because it was considered to be less costly than the Gothic style. The Neorenaissance churches have not yet been systemically researched. Therfore, the research concentrates particularly on the archive materials that have not been published and are scattered around in many...

The Romanticism of Pushkin and Mácha, a Comparative View
Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Metaphylaxy in urinary stones patients
BUŘIČOVÁ, Alena
Current status: The recurrence of urinary stones is common, according to research results. Prevention of urolithiasis, especially of recurrent cases, is essential. Information about the disease, causes of urolithiasis and preventive regime are the basic principles. The patient should not only be informed about drinking and dietary regime after removal of the stone, but he should be motivated to fulfil these recommendations. Metaphylaxy is complex treatment regime; aim of whist is prevention of stone recurrence Methods: The research part was based on quantitative survey. Questionnaire, consisting of 22 questions, was used for survey.. The survey was performed at the Department of Urology, Region Hospital Ceske Budejovice since January 2011 till December 2013. Patients, where first stone was diagnosed, were involved. SPSS programme was used to evaluate results of quantitative survey. Medical recodes was used for secondary analysis of data of primary stone patients treated at the Department of Urology, Region Hospital Ceske Budejovice since 2009 till 2013. Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and SPSS programme was used for statistical analysis. The hypotheses were tested by using of Chí quadrat test. Patients: The patients with primary urinary tract stones, diagnosed in 2012 and 2013, were selected for survey. There were included 184 patients in 2012 and 102 patients in 2013. 150 patients had been addressed by questionnaire and 123 patients responded. The secondary analysis of data of patients treated for primary urinary stones at the Department of Urology, Region Hospital Ceske Budejovice since 2009 till 2013, was performed on 644 patients. Results: 644 patients were found as patients treated for primary stone at the Department of Urology, Region Hospital Ceske Budejovice since 2009 till 2013. This is in concordance with research goal: "Find, how many urinary stones patients were diagnosed at the Department of Urology, Region Hospital Ceske Budejovice since 2009 till 2013". The second research goal was: "Identify differences in dietary habits in urinary stones patients." There was fund a difference in meat intake between men and women. Decreasing trend in meat intake according to age was found, too. No difference in sugar intake was found intake between men and women. The third research goal was: " Identify the fluid intake in in urinary stones patients." There was found average fluid intake per day of 1 922 ml in women and 2 127 ml in men. The last research goal was: " Identify willingness of the patients to change their drinking and dietary regime." The willingness to to change drinking and dietary regime is affected by age of the patient, profession, way of stone removal and quality of information about to change their drinking and dietary regime. Conclusions: The drinking and dietary regime, in context with life style information, is basic for prevention of urinary stones. Fluid intake, dietary habits, physical activity, weight reduction, stress release are essential factors. The motivation, including clear and detailed information of the patient is important for compliance. The results of the theses will be offered for publishing in peer reviewed journal Urologie pro praxi.

The Language of Contemporary Advertising and the Codification of the Czech Language (The Regional Press of the Town Beroun Its Surroundings)
Očenášková, Gabriela ; Kvítková, Naděžda (referee) ; Chejnová, Pavla (advisor)
The thesis deals with the language of contemporary advertising published 1 in a selection of regional newspapers of the town Beroun and its surroundings, i.e. Berounsky denik, Podbrdské noviny and The Independent Newspaper of the Beroun Region - ECHO. The main part of the paper evaluates the language of advertising from the point of view of codification and examines the flaws in orthography which appear in these texts. The deviations from the orthography rules found in the texts are classified in compliance to The Czech Language Orthography Rules published in 2004. Following the discovered facts I tried to find out which mistakes prevail, to identify the causes of their origin and to review to what extent the adult population has mastered the rules. Besides the orthographic flaws I also focused on other aberrations from the language standards and special features in the fields of stylistics, lexicology and morphology. As I worked with a specific type of newspapers - the regional press - 1 also tried to draw a more general picture of the form and the language of their advertising and to compare the present-day situation with the condition twelve years ago when these newspapers started to be published. Spatial aspects and their impact on social life on Strahov campus
Pflegerová, Nikola ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Pašková, Miroslava (referee)
The main topic of this bachelor thesis deals with the issues of individuals and spatial aspects in general and uses the Strahov dormitory as an example. The text is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. The first part is based on theoretical architectural determinism with an emphasis on interactionist theory and tries to characterize concepts related to space and spatial behavior, which may, to some extent, positively or negatively influence the behavior in general. This work also focuses on social function of buildings and the influence of the quality of space on the amount of social interaction and social life. This thesis also addresses the issues of living on university campuses - its temporary nature, sharing space with unfamiliar people and limited set of free choices. I applied the information from the theoretical part of this text on the case study of Strahov dormitory. I learned about serious lack of quality of that area, such as bad climate and operating conditions. On the other hand, I witnessed the effort made by students themselves, who are not satisfied by the conditions in which they live and try to make them better. Thanks to their initiative, new social spaces are made and the quality of the dormitory gets better.

Computation of an anisotropic and nonlinear magnetic field by the finite element method
Kunický, Zdeněk ; Křížek, Michal (referee) ; Vejchodský, Tomáš (advisor)
In the present work we study the modelling of stationary magnetic fields in nonlinear anisotropic media by FEM. The magnetic characteristics of such materials are thoroughly examined and eventually applied to the construction of a full 2D model of an anisotropic steel sheet. Some improvements in the construction in comparison with the ones previously published are achieved. We also present an extension of a 3D model of steel and dielectric laminations for anisotropic sheets. We point out that the standard formulations and the subsequent theorems for the boundary value problems in fact do not correspond with the physical situation. Instead, we propose new formulations that reflect the real physical properties of matter. General existence and uniqueness theorems for the obtained boundary value problems are proved as well as the convergence theorems for the discrete solutions. Finally, the conventional and full 2D model of an anisotropic steel sheet are compared in two transformer core models using the adaptive Newton-Raphson iterative scheme and the obtained results are presented and analysed.
