Konekcionistický model episodické paměti pro virtuální lidi
Burkert, Ondřej ; Kadlec, Rudolf (referee) ; Brom, Cyril (advisor)
The goal of this work is to design and implement a prototype of the episodic memory for virtual humans. The memory is inspired by up to date research on function of human memory for personal events (episodes) and human time perception. We design a model of memory based on this theoretical knowledge. We took as the point of departure episodic memory system and decision making system of Peskova. The decision making system is based on the BDI, theory of affordances and AND-OR trees. The former episodic memory suffered deficiencies in the recall for time-cued questions. Thus proposed model is working with a unique subsystem for the time perception which allows for more realistic storage and recall of past events. The agent enhanced by this model can reply to questions like "What did you do last week afternoons?". The prototype is programmed in Java using the framework Pogamut 2. Pogamut 2 is connected to the complex continuous 3D world of Unreal Tournament 2004 which allows us to verify the design in the challenging environment. We have conducted several experiments. The results show that the model extends agents cognitive abilities with a capability to understand socially established temporal patterns. That allows him to answer to the questions with a vaguely specified time information. Moreover, the memory...

HANČLOVÁ, Svatava
A social rehabilitation in the Seniors´ Home Máj in České Budějovice A social rehabilitation is a complex of activities encouraging an independence, self-sufficiency and social integration of clients of the Seniors´ Home. An aim of the thesis is to evaluate a progress of the social rehabilitation in the Seniors´ Home Máj in České Budějovice. A qualitative research was carried out to achieve objectives of the thesis. Five clients were chosen in order to determine a subjective evaluation of the social rehabilitation. Semi-standardized interviews were conducted with them. An observation method was applied at their engaging in activities in the Seniors´ Home as well as at seniors outside this facility, and a method of document analysis. Obtained information has been contained in case studies and they were analysed by using a grounded theory. Semi-standardized interviews were also conducted to find out attitudes of the professional staff and managers to the social rehabilitation. Factors affecting clients´ social functioning were also monitored in a course of the observation. Information from the interviews with the staff and the observation were again analysed through a method of the grounded theory. The thesis confirms findings of similarly oriented researches. It shows that the course of the social rehabilitation is influenced by institutional, personal and economic influences. The effect of applied methods and techniques of the social rehabilitation depends on an approach of the staff as well as clients and a quality of the clients´ social relations. The research has proven that an integration of clients in the facility as well as outside is supported by a wide offer of leisure time activities. Even if the clients in the Seniors´ Home have enough opportunities for mutual meetings, they are not usually successful in establishing a fully-fledged friendship and they often feel lonely. Although there is encouraged self-sufficiency per clients´ individual needs in the Seniors´ Home Máj, therapeutic activities are conducted and clients participate in physical activities, their level of self-sufficiency reduces. Results of the diploma thesis are stimulating for the staff of the Seniors´ Home Máj as well as for other social service founders and providers.

Frühauf, Pavel ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Seidenglanz, Daniel (referee)
The theme of this thesis is the air transport and its dramatic and dynamic development in the last twenty years. The key driving force behind this change was the deregulation of air agreements and liberalization of international markets, which took place in the seventies in the USA and in the nineties in Europe. This work addresses specific and general effects of deregulation and the development of air transport industry and aims to identify and analyze changes of its structures in space and time. One of the major and direct impacts and consequences of deregulation is that the free market allowed the emergence of new low-cost airlines, which significantly changed the structure and trends of air transport. The changes allowed for greater mobility of people, goods and capital, and also caused a partial change in consumer behaviour of individuals and institutions, and even more interconnected global economy. The source of data and information are primarily articles in professional journals written in English. Knowledge from particular analysis and research approaches to air traffic from the first part of this work is confronted with empirical research. This was based on the statistical data of air traffic in Germany, for each airport from 1991 to 2010 and verified the theoretical concepts of the general...
