Operative diagnostics of an object affected by fire

This bachelor’s thesis deals with technical construction research of the family house which was affected by a fire. The theoretical part of this bachelor’s thesis is describing a fire resistence of the masonry and mainly timber structures. In the practical part is a description of the construction, descriptions of the diagnostic methods, goings of the tests and their evaluation. The main focus of the survey is to find out a state of the construction after the fire and its reliability.
Evaluation of the construction and technical condition of the existing building

The theoretical part of my bachelor's thesis deals with the history, development and testing of masonry, especially aerated concrete and cinder block masonry, of which a large part of the evaluated building is constructed. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the actual assessment of the existing condition of the building, especially by means of visual defectoscopy, the design of measures and the suitability of its possible future use.
The influence of internal structure on mechanical properties of 3D printed femoral segment from novel optimized biocomposite

This diploma thesis presents the development of a new anatomical model of the femur segment based on a biocomposite of poly-3-hydroxybutyrate, polylactic acid, tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite (PHB/PLA/TCP/HA). The model was designed using computed tomography of the patient‘s femur in twelve variants (A1 to A4, B1 to B4, C1 to C4) with different percentages of gyroid filling at the site of the compaction and spongiosis of the real bone. The biocomposite was then 3D printed after the optimized mixture of the new biocomposite (OPT1) was prepared, the printing string‘s chemical and structural characteristics were determined, and the most suitable parameters for 3D printing of the body from this biocomposite were optimized and verified. Furthermore, the pressure load capacity of all twelve variants of 3D printed femur segment models with different percentage densities of their internal gyroid filling was determined. Subsequently, the possibility of predicting the pressure load capacity of the newly developed anatomical femur segment was studied by computer simulation using the numerical model in ANSYS, and the differences in the pressure load capacity values of the PHB/PLA/TCP/HA femur segment in its real mechanical testing were found, compared to the values of the virtual tests using ANSYS. In order to determine the possible tissue resorption rate of this 3D PHB/PLA/TCP/HA biocomposite, the long-term effect (for 4 months) of simulated body fluid on the biodegradation of 3D PHB/PLA/TCP/HA biocomposite bodies with different percentages of gyroid filling (variant I to V) was examined. Subsequently, the biocomposites were subjected to pressure tests while their surface was analyzed by confocal microscopy. The femur segments with 75% filling at the compaction site (variant A) showed the highest average load capacity of 22.20 ± 0.50 kN, while the real femur segment samples had approximately one-quarter lower pressure load capacity compared to the computer simulation. The PHB/PLA/TCP/HA biodegradable bodies with more porous filling (variants II to V) degraded more slowly than the body with 100% filling (variant I), which offers benefits for their clinical use. Their slow degradation also had a beneficial effect on their load-bearing capacity after 4 months.The PHB/PLA/TCP/HA anatomical model of the femoral segment was developed for possible medical use in bone replacement for extensive femoral defects. However, further research is needed before its potential use in medicine.
Diagnostics of the construction and technical condition of the granary building

The bachelor's thesis deals with the diagnostics of the historic granary building and the conceptual design of the reconstruction for further use. The thesis focuses on the history of similar buildings especially in the Czech lands and on the historical development of the building. The practical part of the thesis denies the course and results of the preliminary inspection of the structure and the failures found which are further addressed in more detail in terms of their nature. The presumed reason for the occurrence of failures the state of failures their influence on the construction and an outline of the risk analysis resulting from the failures are determined. Furthermore, a proposal for a methodology of detailed object diagnostics is based on the results of a preliminary inspection. According to the information about the object found during the diagnostics two ideological proposals for further possible use of the object are processed, including the necessary construction modifications.
Evaluation of the construction and technical condition of the fire station building

This thesis covers evaluation of the construction and technical condition of the fire station building situated in Podolí. Reason of the evaluation is the aim of renovation and extension of fire station building. The theoretical part of thesis contains an introduction to the issue of fire stationa and volunteer firefighters. In the practical part there is the evaluation od the object, the results of the inspection ant at the end the sumarized conclusions of the evaluation of the object.
Self-Sensing Properties of Metakaolin Geopolymer with Carbon Nanotubes under Compressive Loading

Increased capability of alkaline activated binders to transfer the electric charge became an attractive issue in research related to multifunctional materials with self-sensing, self-heating and other progressive properties. This study is focused on self-sensing properties of metakaolin geopolymer mortars with 0.05 and 0.10% carbon nanotubes under repeated compressive loading. Specimens incorporated with copper electrodes were subjected to two different regimes of compressive loading with continuous monitoring of strain and electrical resistance. Both reference and modified geopolymer mortars have shown good response to applied loading, yet the differences in sensitivity and structural deformations were observed.
Evaluation of defects and disturbances of an existing structures

The bachelor thesis describes the most used methods of diagnostics of building structures, then it focuses on the use in diagnostics of as yet unused modern technologies, potentially replacing several activities in the work of diagnostics and other professions. The advantages of these technologies, specifically 3D scanning, are presented on a case study of the revitalization of an apartment building in Brno, Koliště 33. In the practical part of thesis is described the process of diagnosis of defects and failures of the object, including applied methods and findings. The output of the work is a proposal of measures and a set of recommendations.
Analysis of material properties of composite boards based on cement and organic fibers in relation to its use in the design of interior staircases

Cement-based composite boards reinforced by organic fiber, commonly known as cement fiber boards are universal and environmental material. Nowadays they are commonly used in construction industry in the form of facade facing for ventilated facades, interior and exterior ceilings or as a lost formwork for the bridge constructions. In these ways of using the cement fiber boards are strained mainly perpendicularly to their median plane. Material characteristics for this kind of strain are declared by the manufacturers. This diploma thesis is focused on ways of using the cement fiber boards reinforced by organic fiber as prefabricated, constructional material for interior staircases. In this case, every segment is strained even in its median plane. This way of strain is atypical and is not declared by the manufacturers in the manufacturer's technical sheets. The main goal of the diploma thesis was to experimentally determine the material characteristics in relation to the possibility of using the cement fiber boards reinforced by organic fiber for the construction of interior stairways. Material characteristics were determined by using Czech technical standards and information from professional literature. Testing tools made by 3D printing were used in the measurements. The possibilities of connecting cement fiber boards by mechanical and glued joint were checked out. The trial “stand” from CLT boards was designed for the real testing of single-arm and double-arm staircases. The outcomes of the experimental measurements confirmed the possibility to use the cement fiber boards for interior stairways. It is necessary to support the design of the staircase by static calculations and to respect the design of the dimensions of the individual segments in the implementation.

This diploma thesis deals with the application of basalt reinforcement in lightweight concretes. In the practical part, the comparison of steel and basalt reinforcement in concrete from agloporite and steel reinforcement in concrete from Liapor is performed experimentally.
