On domestication of emphyteutic law in 13th and 14th century in the Čáslav province
Pehal, Zdeněk ; Malý, Karel (advisor) ; Adamová, Karolina (referee) ; Soukup, Ladislav (referee) ; Šouša, Jiří (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The work deals with the infiltration process and the emphyteutic law evidence in the Čáslav province in the Middle ages. This area can be delimitated with the range of the Iron Mountains from the north, and then with the river Sázava from the south. Several significant territorial suzerains (authorities) acted here such as Vilémov monastery, Sedlec monastery and Želivka monastery, especially significant was the colonization activity of the Lichtenberk family which was developing in the area from the half of the 13th century. The Lichtenberks came to the area from north-western Bohemia, from the contact area of the Czech state, where their relatively early-ripening emphyteutic contracts are documented, and infiltration of early forms of the German law is presumed in general. This medieval law, sometimes designated as "stable and firm" in written sources, was brought from the area of present western Europe (also form the Netherlands) by new settlers, colonists who were bringing with them excluding new knowledge of landscape cultivation (drainage, forest transformation into fields) also juridical habits, which were used to adjust legislative relations while establishing villages. They were not only farmers, but they were also other specialists, mainly miners who brought with them technologies of...

Evaluation of life satisfaction of pensioners (healthcare institutions, homecare agencies, retirement houses)
FUJDLOVÁ, Radka
Theoretical concepts: The central topic of my thesis is the life satisfaction of the elderly, although this concept is perceived very subjectively. Moreover, it varies even in one person at different life stages and it depends on various circumstances and events that accompany people on their life journeys. However, experiencing satisfaction always requires the saturation of one's needs, physical ones as well as mental, social and spiritual ones. Most of the times, one is able to provide for their needs, or at least affect them, through their activities and their will, but the older ones grows, the more one becomes dependent on others in this respect. This task is usually taken in part by one's family members who are willing to help and take care of their close relative, but there also arise situations where one has to entrust themselves into the hands of health professionals, especially nurses. The nurses' tasks do not just include staffing surgeries, but it is necessary for them to pay attention to the individual needs of their clients. Importance of both these components of care is entirely equivalent, because treatment success depends largely on the psychological state, defined by the satisfaction of the clients' life needs, and, on the other hand, the measure a patients' well-being is strongly influenced by the state of their health depending on successful treatment. Professional care that their clients receive is often linked to the placement of the elderly in some health institutions; possibly there may be a situation when an elderly person stays in their home and receives care from field medical staff for only a few hours a day. In any case, the objective of such care, through whatever methods it is provided, should be to achieve the highest possible degree of satisfaction of elderly individuals. Objectives of the thesis: To find out about subjective evaluation of life satisfaction of the elderly depending on their age To find out about subjective evaluation of life satisfaction of the elderly depending on their sex To find out about subjective evaluation of life satisfaction of the elderly depending on institution type Hypotheses: H1: Men are more satisfied than women H2: Satisfaction of the elderly decreases as they grow older H3: The most satisfied are the elderly who use the services of ADP Methods: The method of quantitative research was used in the practical part. For this purpose, the reduced SQUALA standardized questionnaire was used. It had been transferred to interview form due to the age of the target group of the elderly. The obtained data was processed with Microsoft Office Excel and some calculations were made with the Statistica programme. Answers from one hundred respondents were obtained as part of the survey; the respondents came from South Bohemia, particularly from the Český Krumlov and České Budějovice regions. Three types of health care institutions were contacted: a home care agency, retirement homes and hospital aftercare wards. Fifteen elderly persons were obtained for cooperation in the home care agency, 39 persons in retirement homes and 46 persons in hospitals. Results: The results of the survey show that satisfaction of the elderly is most affected by the type of health institution used, i.e. by the environment in which they are provided with health care. Definitely the most satisfied are the people who use the services of the home care agency. On the other hand, age or sex did not play a significant role when evaluating life satisfaction. Conclusion: The importance of this thesis may lie mostly in the opportunity to use the acquired knowledge, regarding the satisfaction of the elderly and the factors that influence this satisfaction, to improve the quality of care provided by nurses and other health staff.

Reconciliation of knowledge on primary school children traffic injury prevention
ŠESTÁK, Milan
Porovnání znalostí o prevenci dopravních úrazů u dětí na základních školách. Reconciliation of knowledge on primary school children traffic injury prevention Injuries of children remain to be general health-social problem. Children may get injured as pedestrians, cyclists or as car passengers. Traumatic situations have impact on families and relatives of victims, who need help. My work deals with issues which I face daily in my work environment. I have been working for Czech traffic police for 24 years. I am interested in traffic education, including prevention and education of school children. This was also subject of my bachelor work. My diploma work is focused on reconciliations of knowledge on primary school children traffic injury prevention in South Bohemia and analysis of preventive activities implementation (primary injury prevention in the area of traffic injuries) in monitored elementary schools. The reason why I have chosen this subject is that I have dealt with similar subject already in my bachelor work and I often face traffic injuries in my work life. That includes injuries of both adults and children. Quantitative research has been applied for the purpose of work objectives identification. In order to verify my hypothesis I have chosen data collection technique using questionnaire. Resulting answers of children have been assessed from 338 questionnaires which is an assessment allowing sample. Results for teachers were assessed from the sample of 11 questionnaires. Results have been shown in the individual charts which may be compared. Analysis of preventive activities implementation (primary injury prevention in the area of traffic injuries) in the monitored primary school form separate part of my work. Results of my work should contribute to better informedness of teachers, parents and children, improved education of teachers, parents and children as well as other involved parties. I put emphasis on deepening knowledge of children in areas unknown to them. Considering results of my research it is therefore important to keep improving informedness in the area of traffic injury prevention within the given age group. I know already now what I will focus on during my presentations, discussions and events associated with preventive traffic programs organized not only by the Czech Police, but also by other organizations. It is important to make all parts of our community involved in injury prevention.

The changes of the castle in Pacov
VOŠICKÁ, Šárka
This thesis deals with an object, which used to serve as a Gothic castle, later the Renaissance and Baroque castle, afterwards it was converted into a Carmelite monastery, which became a castle again in the early 19th century. The first part is devoted to constructional changes in the course of time and it includes some names and facts about the families, who owned the castle - the Malovecs of Pacov, the Rombháps of Suchá, the Španovs of Lisov, the Černíns of Chudenice etc. The following chapter deals with the owner Zikmund Myslík of Hyršov and his two wives who lived in a significant period of Baroque. The third chapter mentions the Discalced Carmelite order and their activities in Bohemia. The second major part brings profiles of two architects of the monastery complex, Martin Wittwer and Kilian Ignác Dientzenhofer, including their other work. The third part contains the plan documentation of Pacov complex along with other plans, which are described in the text and compared with the final realization, and finally Wittwer´s plans are compared with a similar Carmelite monastery in Györ, Hungary.

Postoj svobodných mladých žen a mužů s homosexuální orientací k registrovanému partnertsví.
BABKOVÁ, Lucie
In my diploma thesis, I dealt with the question of homosexuality, especially with the attitude of homosexual men and women to registered partnership. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, the other one comprises my research. In the first, theoretical part, I was concerned with the concept of homosexuality from the past to the present days, with the attitude to it from the medical and social points of view, and from the standpoint of faith. I dealt with the fundamental concepts relevant to homosexuality {--} coming out, the way of its progress, the homosexual identification, behaviour, the differences between homosexuality in men and women etc. Last but not least, I focused on the political and legislative aspects, such as the questions of discrimination, the attitude to the Registered Partnership Act and the resulting rights to start a family. To carry out the research part I used questionnaires with 23 closed and 1 semi-closed questions. 100 questionnaires were handed out to men and women with a different sexual orientation in the Region of South Bohemia. The research proceeded predominantly with the help of the South Bohemian Lambda. I was given back 73 completed questionnaires, and I worked with this sample in the research part of my dissertation. The responses to the questions drawn up in the answer sheet were to help me to confirm or refute my hypotheses. The first hypothesis: The young generation with homosexual orientation more often take a positive than a negative attitude to registered partnership. The second hypothesis: The young generation with homosexual orientation feel discriminated by the heterosexual society. On the basis of the responses obtained from questionnaires we can assume that neither of my hypotheses was confirmed. Young homosexual people do not have a positive attitude to the registered partnership. The vast majority of the respondents answered that they found certain drawbacks in the law, both in the legal and social fields. For these reasons the majority of the interviewed people do not use the possibility of registered partnership, and during the period of the Registered Partnership Act they have not noticed any changes related to their life with regard to their sexual orientation. The second hypothesis concerning young homosexual people who feel discriminated by heterosexual society was not confirmed either. The evaluation of the results shows that the majority of homosexuals have never met with discrimination either in employment, society or in health service. And if they have, the discrimination was related largely to men who were mostly exposed to verbal attacks. But it is necessary to point out that the refutation of this hypothesis can be affected by the fact that a certain percentage of respondents who said that they had never met with any discrimination, they have not admitted their different sexual orientation in public or in front of close friends.

World and thoughts of non-tolerated religious communities in eastern bohemia during 18th and 19th centuries
Taich, Tomáš ; Tinková, Daniela (referee) ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor)
The phenomenon of disident religious groups in Bohemia and Moravia in the end of the 18th Century and during 19th Century is tightly connected with illegal protestantism before the tolerationist patent of 1781. These non-tolerated communities surfaced in the same regions as secret evangelical, and then newly formed reformed and lutheran churches. Also their base thoughts were formed by the same book titles as it was with the later official protestants, and the phenomenon is tied with the evangelical church even with a few names of important leaders from the time of illegality. Tolerationist reality was a distinctive move from the times of catholic monopoly, but it offered way too strict rules that did not take in consideration the specific way of Czech reformation. Some of the evangelics then, being raised in family tradition and by hidden and smuggled literature and supported by pietistic churches in Prussia, Silesia and Lustaia, did not always find room for themselves in the newly formed churches and rather postulated themselves as the third, illegal side. As the time went on, their theology seems to accent more of a pantheistic meanings and a radical departure from the common world. Popularity were also gaining different prophecies of religious or social turn over. Later in 19th Century it is quite...

Art of the court of Czech and French sovereigns 1370-1420 - the social and historical background (differences and parallels)
Nussbergerová, Lucie ; Hrdina, Jan (referee) ; Nejedlý, Martin (advisor)
At the turn of 14th and 15th century, France and the Kingdom of Bohemia both faced very similar situation: progressive failure of royal authority against the background of sublimity and artistic prosperity in service of royal and aristocratic representation. Regarding Bohemia, this period is adherent to the reign of Wenceslas IV. (1378-1419), the son of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. His dynasty was related with French kings, during this period it was Charles VI. (1380-1422), called Charles the Mad. The end of the 14th century was a time of insecurity and fear, especially when both of the main powers, secular and spiritual, had been continually weakened. Western Christianity was divided between two, and later even among three popes, residents in Rome, A vignon and Pisa (since 1409). The main task for the kings was to end this situation and to deci de which of these popes was the only one who had been legaly elected. This question was crucial for France and the Holy Roman Empire and it was also the main difficulty in their mutual political relations. Each kingdom also had problems with their own political situation: in France the war with England and subsequent civil war among the members of the royal family. In Bohemia it was the relation with the Holy Roman Empire, because Wenceslas IV. inherited the...

Seniors Look to Today's Society.
KŘÍŽOVÁ, Věra
This thesis discusses the perspective of older people in today's society, their views on today's time and their eventual wishes for the future. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of old age, the definition of diseases associated with aging, ageism and its resources, as well as media coverage seniors, elderly abuse, and last but not least, the company, its structure and the impact on seniors. In the practical part the qualitative research method, retrospective analysis, carried out using semi-standardized interview techniques. Participants were seniors aged 65 to 85 years, selected purposeful selection in town Milevska, township and village Sepekov Chyšky in South Bohemia. The aim was to explore the views of older people living in their families and look back at a career, find out their attitude to today's society, to today's values and beliefs compared with the period in which he grew up. The results show that the views of older people are much nerůzní, although each respondent was another age, sex, residence, occupation and different hobbies. It seems, therefore, that this really did not have any influence respondents' answers. It was found that the majority of the elderly during life planned aged modest life as previously lived and more time for hobbies. The big problem intergenerational differences seniors perceived lack of understanding by the young, as they do not like too rapid developments and technological advances forward, faces frivolity, and emphasize that they always knew how to enjoy the simple things, which today few people can do. Regarding the comparison of positives today's society and times of their youth, seniors sees as a positive factor in more opportunities for the labor market and more opportunities to spend your leisure time. We should remove the company's rapid development forward and the various achievements of the time, which they see as too much choice in food, in the types of mobile phones, etc. There would leave equipment such as a car or a mobile phone, which is for life today almost a necessity. Unfortunately, a lot of things they can not do anything because of it, he claims, have the right and sufficient powers.

Painter František Jakub Prokyš and his sacral works
Velflová, Lenka ; Zlatohlávek, Martin (advisor) ; Oulíková, Petra (referee)
Painter František Jakub Prokyš and his sacral works There were two historians of art who were profoundly interested in painter František Jakub Prokyš. The first one František Matouš prepared an intensive study before World War II, but he did not finish it. Pavel Zadražil was the second and he wrote his diploma about this subject in 1985. Prokyš is mentioned in some other books as well. We hardly know anything about František Jakub Prokyš's childhood and his teenage. He was probably born in the town of Slaný in 1713. The first proper information about him is from Borovany, where he worked in 1746 for the Augustinian's monastery. Prokyš painted frescos in the church and in the new built chapel and made some pendent pictures. In the year 1748 Prokyš worked for the Augustinian's monastery in Třeboň and in a short time he moved from the north Bohemia to Třeboň. Living in Třeboň was a good time for him, because he got married and two of his children were born there. He began to work for local princely family of Schwarzenberg in Český Krumlov. And in 1760 he was solvent enough to buy a house on the České Budějovice's square. His best work was done during the 60's and 70's. In České Budějovice he decorated walls and vault in the Holy Trinity's church. For the Dominicans he painted the picture of Our Lady of the...
