The influence of the Asian crisis on the position of the Asian Tigers in the current crisis
Bříza, Pavel ; Hnát, Pavel (advisor) ; Jiránková, Martina (referee)
The thesis examines the influence of the Asian crisis on the position of the Asian Tigers in the current crisis. The aim of the thesis is to identify the main reasons due to which these countries relatively quickly overcame the current crisis. The aim will be achieved by comparison of the reactions of Asian Tigers' economic policies on impacts of the Asian and the current crisis. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter sets out the main causes of the Asian currency and financial crisis, analyzes the course of crisis and its impact on Asian newly industrialized countries. The second chapter describes the economic development of the countries in the period between the crises. Stabilization measures taken under overcoming the Asian crisis are also evaluated in this chapter. Furthermore, the second chapter analyzes the economic policy of Southeast Asian countries, which in response to the Asian crisis began to accumulate huge amount of foreign exchange reserves. The countries contributed with their policies to the deepening of global imbalances, which are related to the emergence of the current crisis. The third chapter is devoted to the current crisis. As in the first chapter, there are explained the main causes of the crisis, described the course of the crisis in the Southeast Asian countries and then discussed the most significant stabilizing measures that helped to Asian Tigers to overcome the crisis.

Effect of different management on the production, structure and chemical composition of abovegroung biomass in the Mlýnský potok catchment.
TRUHLÁŘ, Martin
The aim of the thesis is to assess the changes in production and structure of surface biomass (the proportion of grasses, clovers and other plants) and its chemical compound in scythed and pastured grass areas in the monitored areas in the Mlýnský potok basin in years 2012 and 2014. The area is situated on the right bank of Lipno dam in Pasečná land register, 784 820 meters above sea-level. There were established three permanent sampling points in the pastured as well as scythed areas in the Mlýnský potok basin. Four samples of biomass from the area of 1 sq m were collected in each of these sampling points. These were collected on 20th June 2012, 11th September 2012, 17th June 2014 and 10th September 2014. The collected biomass was then divided into agro-botanical groups (grasses, clovers and other plants) and afterwards it was dried and weighed. The chemical analysis was conducted by a certified laboratory AGRO-LA, Ltd. in Jindřichův Hradec. The aim of the analysis was to find out the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium. By assessing the development of the overall production of the biomass in 2012 and 2014 in the sampling area we found out a considerable decline of biomass in scythed areas and an increasing difference in the average amount of biomass between scythed and pastured areas during the monitored period. These findings were assessed as statistically conclusive. By assessing the development of overall proportions of the agro-botanical groups we could see a substantial decrease in grasses and on the other hand an increase of clovers and other plants in scythed areas compared to pastured areas. The difference between the proportion of grasses and other plants proved to be statistically conclusive. By assessing the development in difference of the overall average amount of nitrogen in the biomass, there emerged a considerable increase in the amount of nitrogen regardless the way of management. As far as phosphorus is concerned, we found out a decreasing difference in its amount between scythed and pastured areas. The amount of potassium was considerably lower in scythed areas, whereas calcium showed the exact opposite. Statistically conclusive were the findings of substantial increase of nitrogen in the surface biomass and also the changes in the amount of potassium and calcium due to the management. By evaluating these outcomes we confirmed that the permanent grass areas have a very variable productive and structural potential which holds true also for their chemical compound.

The proportion of people to provide prehospital emergency care
Špačková, Barbora ; Eislerová, Iva (advisor) ; Pekara, Jaroslav (referee)
Bachelor thesis drala with providing pre-hospital emergency care. Specifically, I focused on the pupils of the 8th and 9th grades of primary schools and their teachers. Purpose of my thesis was to investigate the level theoretical knowledge of primary school pupils and theoretical knowledge and practical skills their teachers in first aid. Further work is to map where both groups obtained their knowledge. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is dividend into individua chapters that deal with first definition of the term first aid, itsdistribution and description of emergency services. Other chapters are then devoted to the general regularities providing first aid. The following is a brief description of each condition requiring first aid, focusing on the most common injuries of children of school age and their treatment. I mention also the intoxication by alcohol and drugs in this age group. The empirical section introduces the methodology and organization of research, I conducted a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey in conjunction with practical drills of basic life support with the teachers. This theme extends to respiratory arrest and blood circulation. It also offers an evaluation of the data and finally an evaluation of the objectives.

Neurolinguistic Approach to Interpreting Research in Italy (SSLMIT Trieste): Beginning and Recent Trends
Kadová, Alžběta ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor) ; Sládková, Miroslava (referee)
An important field of interpreting research, neurolinguistic approach emerged soon after the shift towards an interdisciplinary approach to research into interpreting. The mutually beneficial collaboration between neurolinguists and interpreters has been centred mainly on the issue of language representation in interpreters as bilingual subjects, namely on the role each of the two cerebral hemispheres plays depending on the task (automatic speech production, shadowing, translation of single words or phrases, simultaneous interpreting), choice of interpreting strategy (literal vs. meaning-based interpretation) or on the direction of interpreting (B to A vs. A to B language). The thesis focuses on the research into hemispheric lateralization done at SSLMIT, University of Trieste, Italy - the place where, in the 80s, the neurolinguistic approach was first adopted. The Trieste School then remained its centre for approximately ten years. The beginning chapters of this theoretical study present the fundamentals of neuranatomy, neurophysiology and neurolinguistics, necessary for understanding of the mental processes underlying simultaneous interpretation. Furthermore, relevant neuroimaging methods are introduced that either have already been used in or could be applied to interpreting research in the...

Programy na podporu zaměstnanosti v USA v období Rooseveltova New Dealu
Následně se zmiňuji o programech The Civil Works Administration (CWA), The Work Projects Administration (WPA), také The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) a The National Youth Administration (NYA). Poslední jmenované se zaměřovaly na studenty a mladé lidi. Všechny tyto organizace zanikly s příchodem 2. světové války, protože nezaměstnanost téměř vymizela. Je tu ale jedna, která funguje do dneška. Jedná se o The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Budu analyzovat její činnost v době založení i v současnosti.

Management of Hotel
Zemanová, Veronika ; Musil, Martin (advisor) ; Oberhel, Martin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find out common and different features between the ways of management of selected hotels and after that to compare their ways of management with prevailing theory about the management of this type of organizations. Part of this thesis is to analyse management of three hotel organizations and their mutual comparison. First, there will be found information about the particular way of management in each of selected hotels, which will then be applied to theoretical knowledge. The result of this comparison will be information on whether the way of management in individual organizations corresponds with theoretical knowledge and whether, by contrast, could this knowledge be actually used. The next step is to compare individual hotels among themselves and based on results, which emerge from this analysis, the proposal to improve the management of individual hotels will be suggested.
