Comparative study of protection models for victims of trafficking in human beings

Téma této práce jsem si zvolila především na základě mých profesních zkušeností. S jevem obchodování s lidmi, resp. obchodování s lidmi za účelem sexuálního vykořisťování jsem se setkala již za své praxe v nevládní organizaci Česká společnost AIDS pomoc. Již v té době ve spolupráci s organizací Rozkoš bez rizika jsem měla v péči klientku, která na území našeho státu přicestovala z Ukrajiny za prací a později byla nucena pracovat v sex průmyslu. V té době však nebyla zdaleka propracovaná koncepce státu, jak v takových případech postupovat. V rámci zaměstnání na Správě uprchlických zařízení jsem pak jako vedoucí oddělení metodiky sociální práce připravila se svými kolegy projekt, který měl v rámci Národní strategie proti obchodování s lidmi za účelem sexuálního vykořisťování informovat o nebezpečí, kterému může být žena vystavena. Tento projekt byl nazván ANNA a jeho cílovou skupinou byly žadatelky o udělení azylu, zvláště pak samostatné ženy. V rámci koordinační skupiny ministerstva vnitra jsem pak jako zástupce Správy uprchlických zařízení, později odboru azylové a migrační politiky připomínkovala celou strategii. V rámci těchto setkání jsem se seznámila se zástupci všech zúčastněných subjektů a to jak ze státní správy, tak nevládních organizací.

The Developments of the Rentier State Model in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia, along with other Gulf oil monarchies, represents an original politico- economic system. Huge revenues in the form of oil rent, flowing to the Treasury since the oil boom in the early 70's, have fundamentally changed the socio-economic structure, which was in literature termed the rentier state. The origin, development and description of typical characteristics of rentier state are the main topic of this thesis. The first section discusses the theoretical foundations and approaches to the issue. The second chapter provides a historical background in order to position the study in the context of previous political, economic and ideological development. In an analysis of the formation of state structures, the work deals with the relationships between members of the ruling house of Saud, between the government and social elites, with functioning of clientelist structures and interactions within the bureaucratic apparatus. Based on the study of these relationships the thesis marks out particularities of the Saudi politico-economic system that distinguish it from the classical concept of rentier state model. Southeast Asia nations has achieved high growth of GDP recently. This success can be counted to Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN). Despite the diversity of member states and problems, ASEAN takes a strong position in the world economy. Nevertheless, ASEAN is facing a new challenge. That's global financial crisis. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe establishment and development of ASEAN, to summarize economic cooperation among members and other states and to outline near future of this organization.

Attitudes and Motivation of Pupils in Relation to Athletics

Thesis title: Attitudes and Motivation of Pupils in Relation to Athletics Objective: find out the attitudes and motivation of pupils in relation to athletics in pupils'categories of selected athletic clubs in Prague Methodology: questionnaires distributed in 15 youth athletic clubs in Prague, Central Bohemian Region, Plzeň, Cheb and Pardubice. Intentionally no sport schools have been included. 352 correctly filled-in questionnaires have been collected. Questionnaires have been classified according to different age groups: athletic prep, junior and senior pupils. The objective of the given research was to find out the attitudes and motivation of pupils in relation to athletics or to its disciplines, respectively. A part of the questionnaire also focused on discovering pupils' knowledge of the most famous athletic personalities today and in the past, both in the domestic and international context. Conclusion: the thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The former one deals with the analysis of the key concepts and the context of the given topic. It is based on accessible specialized literature focusing on the topic both empirically and theoretically. Recent theme articles from international internet portals have also been used. Influence of the division of Cyprus on Turkey’s accession to the EU

The bachelor thesis deals with an influence of divided Cyprus on Turkish accession to the EU. The aim of the work is to find out whether Cyprus is the real obstacle of the further enlargement. The text is divided into three sections. The first one attends to Cyprus from its far history to the present time, when the island is divided into two parts. The second one of the text deals with Turkey. It contains the significance of Turkey not only for the EU but also for other countries of the region and the world. The last third part is made up of positions of single interested members -- Cyprus, Turkey and the EU. All these participants have an influence on a possible reunification of the island and on the further fate of the EU enlargement.

The thesis summarizes relationships of The Czech Republic and ASEAN. It deals in some detail with past and current ties to The Republic of Vietnam and describes czech international development cooperation. Then the thesis briefly characterizes the EU's Common Commercial Policy which is the base of czech trade with third countries. It also describes the development of macroeconomic indicators and it mentions more closely members of ASEAN and their relationship to The Czech Republic.

My thesis deals with three generations living together in families in the context of past and present, with possible applications into social work. It focuses on an intergenerational solidarity and a mutual help among members of three-generational families which are adequate indicators of mutual relationships. Using ideas of Christian ethics and results of sociological researches it tries to answer the question about the importance of three generations living together within a family and using the theory of social behavior it tries to specify bases of three-generational families living together in cooparation with a social worker.

The statute of domestic servants in Prague's middle class households in the turn od the 20th century. Identity, social mobility and the way of their lives

This thesis deals with the social group of domestic servants, concretely with the maids in Prague's households at the turn of the 20th century (untill the twenties). The servants were the integrant part of the households until the recent times. This social group appeared in various kinds of forms, in various kinds of roles and settings. To have the servants was the symbol for beeing a part of prestigious level of the society. The reasons for keeping the servants could, however, be also pragmatic for many not so rich households - there was a need of employment, resp. ocupation for all the adult members of those families in the (family) trade or farming. The second half of the 19th century is the time of big changes for this social group. The progressive industrialization and the modernization and the urbanization of the society lead to the falling of traditional form of the self-supporting family, further to the restriction of the working load for women and also to the lesser need of the family servants. The domestic servant demand started to be determinated with the social status instead of the economic situation of the family. This demand defines the Maid and also her new duties. There was about one third of the Czech households and one half of the German ones in Prague keeping a housemaid around 1900....

The board of directors of a joint-stock company and the position of its members

Ve své práci ukazují, jak významnou pozici zaujímá představenstvo vorganizační struktuře akciové Společnosti. Jde o statutární, řídící a výkonný orgán společnosti. Celkové zhodnocení představenstva, resp. jeho postavení dovoluje učinit závěr, že jde o orgán, který hraje "v životě" společnosti zcela zásadní a v mnoha ohledech rozhodující roli. Postavení představenstva ve společnosti odpovídají požadavky kladené na jeho členy. Vždy musí jít o plně odpovědné profesionály, znalé nejen svých práv, ale především svých povinností. Jako určité memento může sloužit následující povzdech reflektující období přeměn státních podniků ve státní akciové společnosti vletech 1990 až 1991: "Členové řídicích orgánů nebyli ani existenčně, ani hmotně zainteresováni na prosperitě státní akciové společnosti, a proto postrádali potřebnou motivaci a sebedůvěru pro prosazeni nezbytných zásadních změn (např. restrukturalizačnich, personálních a j. ). Neřešily se zásadní problémy státní akcia vé společnosti, zvláště pokud by zásahy byly spojeny s riziky, anebo dokonce s nepopulárnimi opatřeními. Navic byli členové od potřebné činnosti v řídicích orgánech odváděni jinými povinnostmi, často i osobními zájmy. The aim of this work is to characterize and analyse the role and influence of Czech-French Chamber of Commerce to companies that are members of the Czech-French Chamber of Commerce. In particular, it focuses on cooperation between the Czech-French Chamber of Commerce and its members. The introduction mentions the historical development of Czech-French trade relations, after that folows an overview of the Czech-French Chamber of Commerce and an analyse of the work and activities, that are practised by the chamber. An important part of my work analyses the mutual cooperation of member companies with Czech-French Chamber of Commerce. At the end of this work the main partners of Czech-French Chamber of Commerce are mentioned.
