Designing mass modification of client contact records and theirs consolidation within financial institution
Převrátil, Martin ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Jeřábek, František (referee)
This master thesis deals with management request towards informatics department within front company that provides wide range of financial services. Demand refers to client contact data, particularly correspondence addresses and calls for possibility to mass change such records. There are several relatively separated tasks which need to be discussed in order to fulfill the request. First part introduces the company and analyze current situation. Then continue by describing correspondence addresses issue and supports with reasons for the inevitable change. Company's information system architecture is outlined with emphasis on central database that is being formed. This part also further describes options how data can be stored. Middle part contains reason--based choice where correspondence records should be maintained in company's data architecture. Implementation plan with chosen storage pattern is formed here and connected changes in system are highlighted. As a last processes connected to correspondence addresses mass modification are described and drawn with selected notation. After that user graphic interface is designed as a place where the self request will be served.

Development Policy of the European Union with Focus on Colombia
Malá, Václava ; Abrhám, Josef (advisor) ; Jelínek, Tomáš (referee)
Bc. Malá, Václava: Development Policy of the European Union with a view to Colombia, Prague. Department of World Economy, Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics in Prague, 2009, 68 pages, Head: Ing. Josef Abrhám, Ph.D. The thesis focuses on the issue of the evolution of development policy and administration of development aid by the European Union as whole (i.e. the European Commission) as well as by individual member states. The case study looking into Colombia analyses putting the development policy and development assistance into practice. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter defines historical links between the European and developing countries, stipulates basic notions connected to the issue as well as defines the European Union institutions having development policy and development assistance in their respective agendas. Various forms of development aid are described at the end of the first chapter. The second chapter deals with prospective trends in the progress of development policy and development aid. Therefore, the Lisbon Treaty and the 10th European Development Fund are analysed in particular. The third chapter focuses on how development policy and development assistance are exercised in the Colombian case. The conclusion of the thesis contains a statement about a substantial importance of European Union in the field of granting international development assistance.

Work environment analysis
Jančová, Jana ; Khelerová, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Odehnalová, Jitka (referee)
Due to economic crisis a lot of companies are facing financial difficulties and therefore they are saving costs in almost all areas. A large number of them first reduce investments into education, corporate benefits and overall costs of human resources department. At the same time these companies do not realize that their employees represent the most valuable asset, thus they represent the possibility of finding solutions of how to get out of the crisis. With regard to recency and marginalization of that topic in my thesis I deal with work environment issues that directly affect job satisfaction and ultimately productivity and efficiency of employees. In the technical part I grapple with work environment issues, working groups, management styles, communication, motivation and stimulation. In the practical part I have analysed the work environment of the company CMC Graduate School of Business o.p.s. in which I have applied achieved knowledge based on which I have proposed such measures and improvements toward the organization that will lead to increased willingness to work and hence to reduce the staff fluctuation.

The role of internal audit in operational risk management
Stoklásková, Martina ; Blahová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Brada, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis focuses on the operational risk, its identification, measurement and regulatory requirements associated with it. It defines what is the role of internal audit, departments that perform its function and relationship to the organizational structure of the company. Similarly, it is depict the relationship between internal and external audit. These facts are set in the context of operational risk. In the form of comparison are confronted four major banking institutions operating on the Czech market. The aim is to find out how banks manage operational risk, what tools are used for the quantification and how the whole process involve internal audit services and, finally, how they deal with regulatory requirements on capital.

Motor-Generator For Swirl Turbine
Huzlík, Rostislav ; Skala, Bohumil (referee) ; Duroň, Jiří (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The aim of this doctoral thesis is to design a motor-generator for swirl turbine. Swirl turbine is a relatively new type of turbine developed at the Department of Fluid Engineering Viktor Kaplan Energy Institute FME BUT. Swirl turbine is designed for use on small head, where the classical types of turbines either poor efficacy or are economically disadvantaged. As suitable construction for the motor-generator was selected synchronous machine with permanent magnets and with axial magnetic flow with coreless stator. As part of the work is carried out calculating the properties of turbines for defined operating point simulation model of the turbine. After already made draft motor-generator to optimally meet the characteristics of the turbine. The complete design of the motor-generator is validated by calculating the finite element method models. Designed machine must be able to work as a generator and as a motor, if it was necessary to use a turbine as a pump.

The comparison of personnel marketing in non-profit and for profit sector
Kotyk, Václav ; Křečková Kroupová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Průša, Přemysl (referee)
The subject of my Bachelor Thesis is to characterize and analyse personnel marketing as a tool of human resources management and to clarify its contribution for both non-profit and for profit sector and its follow-up comparison between these sectors, based on the assumption of existining differences between personnel marketing in for profit and non-profit sector. The practical use of personnel marketing is demonstrated and analysed by using the example of national representation of international student organization AIESEC, AIESEC Czech Republic, as a non-profit sector representative and undisclosed for profit company from the Financial Services sector, Financial Institution XY, p.l.c., for comparison of different approaches, methods and strategies. The main channels and tools of internal and external personnel marketing are evaluated by using quantitative analysis from available data and qualitative analysis based on own experince or discussion with Personnel Marketing department of the Financial Institution. The existing differences in personnel marketing approaches and media channels are compared and confirmed on the grounds of these findings. Furthermore, the Thesis analyses potential risks and offers possible solutions to improving the current situation, that lies in mutual inspiration and cooperation between for profit and non-profit sector, that would result in higher effectivity of personnel marketing of both of the sectors.

Following of acetylcholinesterase-pesticide interaction using biosensor technology
Drobík, Oto ; Opletalová, Veronika (advisor) ; Vlček, Vítězslav (referee)
FOLLOWING OF ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE-PESTICIDE INTERACTION USING BIOSENSOR TECHNOLOGY Oto Drobík Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control Organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides are toxic substances used in agriculture as insecticides. These substances are highly toxic for humans as acute poisoning can lead to death via inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. After acetylcholinesterase inhibition, accumulation of acetylcholine follows. In compliance with the thesis aims, functional electrochemical biosensor was constructed. It was based on a standard screen printed amperometric sensor with three electrodes. Herein sensors with platinum and carbon working electrode were tested. Suitable method of electrochemical assay was chosen and some the basic conditions were optimized. Kinetic parameters of enzyme reaction were assessed, too. Various methods of acetylcholinesterase capturing onto sensor were tested and compared one to each other. Paraoxon-methyl and diisopropylfluorophosphate were chosen as the representative of pesticides. Limit of detections for the both pesticides were estimated to be 10-6 - 10-5 mol/l. The prepared biosensors were compared with the standard Ellman's method based on spectrophotometry and the...
