The use of cluster analysis to evaluation half-year measurement campaign of gaseous elemental mercury from atmospheric station Křešín u Pacova
Veselik, P. ; Dvorská, Alice
This paper deals with evaluation of gaseous elemental mercury in the air from Atmospheric Station Křešín u Pacova. The measurements were conducted with two identical instruments positioned right next to each other in one ground-based container in a 10 min time step, between December 2012 and June 2013. This measurement campaign was aggregated into approximately weekly intervals. The aim of this paper is to show the use of cluster analysis for finding those time periods which correspond the most according to appropriately selected criteria. Classification was performed by using cluster analysis of regression coefficients obtained by modelling weekly measurements by the second device on the measurements from the first device. Results of this analysis indicate the existence of five periods in which the regression lines show certain similarities. Further attention is paid to their analysis.

Analýza a návrh webové stránky pro cestující do zahraničí
Strnad, Stanislav ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Kučerová, Helena (referee)
The target of this thesis is to design a website which enables its visitors a slightly different approach when searching information about the selected countries, compared to websites of similar orientation. The main asset of the website would be to allow the selection of thematic information (transport, culture, food, trade, etc.), giving the user a clue in the search for the countries where he would like to travel to. (or just find some interesting information about them) It should be also possible to filter and sort the available information accordingly by prearranged criteria, which should allow the visitor to get slightly different perspective over the issue. One of the main features is the contribution of users themselves to co-create the website, for which the registration system will be adapted to. The system will distinguish several levels of users with different permissions to access various sections of the website and to manage its content. It should be possible to edit the data through the web interface, which should provide sufficient variability for a complete content management. The website solution should be created for the users as intuitively as possible without any unnecessary barriers that would prevent users from comfortable and effective use of the website.

Ireland and its motivations for accession to EEC
Slámová, Žaneta ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
This thesis deals with Irish motivations for accession to European Community in 1973. Irish historical background and it's close relations with United Kingdom influenced Irish situation in 1950s, when the state's economy struggled with difficulties. Based on this context this paper identifies the main Irish motivations, why Ireland decided to join the EEC. They are as follows: the most influential was Irish weak economy and development in relation to the significant Irish dependence on British market. Ireland expected from the membership faster economic growth connected with modernization and diversification of Irish traditional markets. The other two important motivations were Irish sovereignty and it's development and the situation in Northern Ireland. Next part of the thesis analyses how the most dominant motivations were realized after the accession. Comparing the criteria - Irish GDP, emigration and trade - before and after the accession shows the development of Irish economic situation. The changes in destinations of Irish export and sources of import reflect decrease in Irish dependence on British market. All criteria and both parts of the motivation are studied in short term after the accession and in a long term.

Topic analysis of textbooks of German with a view to communication applicability
GALATÍKOVÁ, Zuzana
It is my wish, within the scope of this thesis, to assist teachers at secondary schools who are making a decision about the right choice of books for their stu-dents. It involves an analysis of available German textbooks for beginners, with regards to the choice of topics. In connection with my thesis I also prepared a questionnaire which was distributed among 50 students of secondary schools with the aim to elicit the point of view of the target group. The aim of this thesis is to assess the samples of German textbooks in the Czech market so that they correspond to the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For the analysis there has been chosen the sample of textbooks which appear commonly at Czech secondary schools. These include textbooks published by both Czech and German publishing houses, to be specific Německy s úsměvem nově, studio d A1, Sprechen Sie Deutsch? 1. and Themen aktuell 1. Originally I intented to analyse Tangram aktuell 1 instead of Themen aktuell 1 by the the same publisher, but since the first mentioned one is usually used for teaching, I decided for Themen aktuell 1. I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to create an ideal textbook of either German or any other foreign language, because every student considers a different topic to be important, they have different values and motivation which drives them to learn a foreign language. That is also an implication resulting from the questionnaire in which students evaluated the importance of topics according to their own judgement and preferences.
