Impact of statute 108/2006 Sb., about social services, to senior´s taking social sevices

By raising living standards and the health care level, our citizens live longer lives, which is a favourable criterion of social climate. To ensure the funding of necessary social services to senior citizens, the Social Services Act No. 108/2006 Coll. can be applied to provide seniors with care allowance. Care allowance is a state benefit provided to individuals in difficult social situations, who are dependent on assistance from other individuals. The purpose of this benefit is to allow a person to arrange for a necessary assistance according to his/her own deliberation, either within a family or through a social services provider in the form of a particular social service, or by means of another person or a legal personality. The theoretical part of my thesis is focused mainly on aspects of aging, the Social Services Act, and primarily on the care allowance. In the practical part I mainly dealt with the impact of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on drawing and use of social services by seniors. I wanted to identify the attitude of the elderly to social services. How and to what extent they use the services, if they receive a care allowance and if they properly understand its purpose. For my research I chose the method of a questionnaire survey. In the course of the months of June and July 2010, 100 seniors living in the Prachatice region were addressed. The research has proved that seniors feel sufficiently informed about the range of social services in their neighborhood and that they are satisfied with their quality. The research has shown that social services are being used far more by the elderly who receive a care allowance. The most popular are residential care homes and out-of-home care. A large proportion of the elderly also use unofficial services, provided by a close relative. Most seniors who do not draw a care allowance do not use any kind of social services. The results also show that women care about social services in a much larger percentage than men. I would like to see my work used for further research on this topic and also for educational purposes. It could help social services providers in the assessment which groups of potential clients they should focus on and so to increase their awareness of the range of social services available.

Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and the proposal of changes in the information system in a form of conceptual application for Bosch Diesel s.r.o. This application helps with saving, summarizing and working with required data. The main objective is to analyze the existing information system, which addresses to the company events and proposes a new one in a form of application, which should solve problems connected with saving big amounts of data in MS Excel.

Since eighties the Regional Climate Models (RCMs) are developed for assessment of future climate at regional scales. But their outputs suffer from many uncertain- ties. In the first chapters of this thesis the sources of uncertainties in climate model outputs and selected methods of climate models performance evaluation are reviewed. Several methods of model performance assessment are then applied to si- mulations of the Czech regional climate model ALADIN-Climate/CZ and selected RCMs from the ENSEMBLES project for the reference period 1961-1990 in the area of the Czech Republic. Evidence (disclosure) in civil proceedings

As a topic of my thesis I chose one of the fundamental topics of the civil procedure, because in the evidence in civil proceedings the court gets the grounds for a fair decision in the matter. Although it may seem classical, the topic is still very important because of modern trends and frequent amendments of the Civil Procedure Code. The issues related to evidence procedure are not only interesting, but also essential for practice, because the final judgment relies upon various pleadings of the parties and activity of the court. Due to its extent and significance, the topic cannot be fully covered by one thesis, and thus during elaboration of the thesis I divided it in two sections. The first section examines the general problems connected with evidence in civil proceedings and the second section deals with selected issues of evidence in civil proceedings, respective burdens and phases of the evidence procedure. In the first section I tried to define the term evidence and the subject of the evidence by finding what does and what does not belong therein. This section also addresses identical statements of the parties. Further I focused on institutes that facilitate the evidence in civil proceedings. Position of nurse in the Czech Republic The theme of my work is position of nurse in the czech society. I would like to get objectives informations to descripe present reputation of nurses. This theme can improve their position and help to incoming changes in the future. In the theory I write about reputation of jobs, about professional image of nurse and about history of this image. I write about history of nursing, and this from aspect position of nurse, it mean the status of doctor and nurse. In this time it constructs positive all-society conditions for independence activity of nurse, therefore it needs old terms between doctors and nurses to transform. Knowledges and career - there are very important conditions to increase job's prestige. The informations, which I am using in the empiric part, I was obtaining from two answer sheets. These answer sheets were faceless. The first was addressed to nurses and the second to doctors. It's good to observe, that I would like to change anything, I have to start by myself. And we have to talk aloud.

Importance of nannies in a family of a child with special needs

This thesis deals with the problems of babysitting children with special needs. The theoretical part is primarily devoted to the characteristics of healthy child development. Consequently, it provides a comparison of optimal child development with the development of handicapped children. It highlights the difficulty of care for disadvantaged children, the importance of preventing parents becoming overloaded and the various possibilities for support of the families. The next chapter focuses on the educational assessment of healthy children and children with special needs. It describes the availability of babysitting services for those children, the offers of current agencies and the profile of good quality carers. The last chapter presents the empirical part of this thesis. The quantitative research was, with the use of questionnaires, addressed to the parents of children with special needs. This section presents the course of the research and the method by which the goals were attained. It presents the views of parents of children with special needs with regards to: their level of interest in, and the problems with, babysitting services. Gait analysis : comparison and selection of test and examinational methods

This thesis focuses on gait examination of hemiparetic patients. The first part addresses general pieces of knowledge about gait, examination options, application of examinational gait tests in the physical therapy, and description of hemiparesis. The second part is summary of my practical experience with gait examinations of hemiparetic patients. The goal of this thesis is to try and evaluate options of tests and gait examinational methods: The Rancho Los Amigos Observational Gait Analysis System The Tinetti Balance and Gait Evaluation The Rivermead Visual Gait Assessment The benefits and drawbacks of each test are also evaluated. It is described how the test informs about gait disorder, its use in practice, the difficulty of realization for both patient and examiner, the method of test evaluation.

The issue of extremism at high schools in the District of Prachatice and subsequent preventive measures.

This bachelor?s thesis addresses the issue of extremism in the secondary schools in the Prachatice District and the preventative programmes that the schools implement in order to combat this social phenomenon. The objective of the thesis is to identify the attitudes and opinions of the secondary school students in Prachatice about the issue of extremism and to find out how much information the students have about this issue. The thesis also aims to determine whether there are any differences between the attitudes of male and female students with regard to extremist behaviour in society, either positive or negative. In addition, the thesis explores any differences, if any, in the knowledge and attitudes held by students about this social phenomenon on the basis of the type of secondary school they attend, specifically grammar schools vs. vocational schools. The thesis includes a description and evaluation of the effectiveness of the preventative programmes that have been implemented in the secondary schools. These programmes are evaluated both from the perspective of the secondary school students as well as from that of the non-profit organisations that prepare these programmes for the schools. The results from the research and the evaluation of the findings are presented in the conclusion of the thesis.

Current Possibilities of Development Activities for Non-residential Premises

The thesis deals with the determination of evaluating the economic efficiency of a development project for the construction of apartment complex. The theoretical part explains the concepts of investment, project development, economic efficiency and putting their indicators. The thesis also describes the business plan development activities and cash flows. The thesis also addressed the risks of investment projects, as well as an analysis of the current situation in the current area of investment. In the practical part of the description is made of the entire completed project, determining the cash flows of the project and its subsequent evaluation and assessment of economic efficiency.

Study of Electrophysiological Function of the Heart in Experimental Cardiology

Srdeční poruchy, jejichž příkladem je ischemie myokardu, infarkt, hypertrofie levé komory a myokarditida, jsou v experimentální kardiologii obvykle studovány na modelu izolovaného srdce. Kritéria pro detekci srdečních poruch však nejsou pro zvířecí modely standardizována, což komplikuje srovnání a interpretaci výsledků různých experimentálních studií. Obzvlášť složitá situace nastává při současném výskytu několika patologických jevů, jejichž vzájemná součinnost komplikuje rozpoznání jejich individuálních účinků. Korektní posouzení stavu srdce vyžaduje také zohlednění mnoha faktorů spojených s akvizicí dat. Tato práce je věnována kvantitativnímu hodnocení elektrofyziologických změn způsobených globální ischemií myokardu. Vliv ischemie byl hodnocen pro fyziologická srdce a srdce se zvětšenou levou komorou a dále pro srdce nabarvená napěťově-citlivým barvivem di-4-ANEPPS. Přestože jsou oba fenomény často zastoupeny v animálních studiích, nebyl dosud popsán jejich vliv na manifestaci ischemie v elektrogramech (EG), ani nebyl kvantifikován jejich vliv na přesnost detekčních algoritmů pro identifikaci ischemie. Práce shrnuje kvantitativní změny srdeční funkce vyvolané ischemií (v normálních podmínkách, při hypertrofii levé komory, a při administraci barviva) založené na hodnocení EG a VKG parametrů. Dále práce obsahuje rozbor důležitých aspektů akvizice záznamů, jako je umístění snímacích elektrod, způsob výpočtu deskriptorů z EG a VKG (s použitím výsledků manuálního rozměření záznamů, nebo bez něj) a identifikace okamžiku vývoje ischemie v preparátu. Nedílnou součást práce tvoří návrh, realizace a ověření metod pro automatickou detekci ischemie v experimentálních záznamech. Výsledky práce dokazují, že dosažení opakovatelných a věrohodných výsledků je podmíněno zohledněním všech výše uvedených faktorů souvisejících jak se stavem srdce, tak s metodikou záznamu a analýzy dat.
