Optimization of the rearing of the species Danio rerio (Hamilton, 1822)
Gottwald, Milan ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Martin, Martin (referee)
The diploma thesis summarizes the experimental method for the rearing of zebrafish Danio rerio (Hamilton, 1822) screed. The work of figuring out which of the methods of rearing fry in the transitional period of the ontogenetic development is best for the survival rate and growth of the standard length of the surveyed individuals. The test was carried out on two basic lines of zebrafish Wild Type and Casper. At the beginning of the test were created four groups divided by feeding mode. The control group was fed once a day with pellet feed GEMMA Micro 75 and one day from the 10th day after fertilization the fed with nauplii stages of brine shrimps Artemia salina (Linnaeus, 1758). The second group was fed only once a day with pellet feed GEMMA Micro 75. The last two groups were fed five times a day saltwater rotifer species Brachionus plicatilis (Müller, 1786), and only one of them and the other was still three times daily nourished with nauplii stages of brine shrimps. For each group of four representative have been created initially, thirty tanks of fish at the age of five days after fertilization. The results of this method have shown that the methods they use to feed the rotifers, did not have a statistically significant impact on the survival rate of individuals. In the growth of this method has proven to be statistically significant result in the group where the fed in combination with brine shrimps, where to achieve the average standard size of juvenile fish 16.02 +/- 0.80 mm for the Wild type and 17.39 +/- 0.81 mm for Casper, compared to the control group, that has been the standard length 11.63 +/- 0.64 mm for the Wild Type and 9.54 +/- 0.56 mm for Casper. This method has great potential and breeding is therefore necessary to further develop this method and to adapt it to individual zebrafish facilities.

Optimization of Secondary Cooling Parameters of Continuous Steel Casting
Klimeš, Lubomír ; Raudenský, Miroslav (referee) ; Pyszko, René (referee) ; Buček, Pavol (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
Continuous casting is a dominant production technology of steelmaking which is currently used for more that 95% of the world steel production. Mathematical modelling and optimal control of casting machine are crucial tasks in continuous steel casting which directly influence productivity and quality of produced steel, competitiveness of steelworks, safety of casting machine operation and its impact on the environment. This thesis concerns with the development and implementation of the numerical model of temperature field for continuously cast steel billets and its use for optimal control of the casting machine. The numerical model was developed and implemented in MATLAB. Due to computational demands the model was parallelized by means of the computation on graphics processing units NVIDIA with the computational architecture CUDA. Validation and verification of the model were performed with the use of operational data from Trinecke zelezarny steelworks. The model was then utilized as a part of the developed model-based predictive control system for the optimal control of dynamic situations in the casting machine operation. The behaviour of the developed control system was examined by means of dynamic model situations that have confirmed the ability of the implemented system to optimally control dynamic operations of the continuous casting machine. Both the numerical model of the temperature field and the model-based predictive control system have been implemented so that they can be modified for any casting machine and this allows for their prospective commercial applications.

Export of Goods in EU Countries from 2004 to 2009
Kollárová, Katarína ; Karpová, Eva (advisor) ; Abrhám, Josef (referee)
European union is an important subject of the international trade in goods. Currently EU is the world biggest exporter and importer of goods in the world. Export of goods is a significant factor of economic growth in EU. From 2004 to 2007 there was a period of boom in economy of EU15 countries. At this time intra-export and extra-export growth was recorded. In 2008 and 2009 EU15 countries were affected by economic crisis, which had impact on main macroeconomic indicators and on export of goods as well. From 2004 to 2008 there was a period of boom in economy of EU12 countries. The major export partners of EU12 countries were EU15 countries, which accounted for 60% of exports of goods EU12 countries. In 2009 EU12 countries were affected by economic crisis, which had impact on main macroeconomic indicators and also on export. In time of recession the problems of the export of goods in EU countries have been fully reflected. The main problems are shrinking production capacity, unsufficient innovation and the loss of competetiveness, territorial and commodity structure of export of goods EU countries.

The economic context of disintegration of the Czechoslovak Federation in 1990 - 1992
Hradilová, Petra ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
My bachelor thesis evaluates the split of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, from an economic point of view and is divided into three parts. The first part describes the function of the Czech-Slovak Federation in normalization years 1969 - 1989 and its subsequent disintegration. Bachelor thesis is focused not only on economic and economical development but also on social and political development, because exactly that one was in mentioned years an important determinant of economic development. The main part will analyze the development of Czech-Slovak Federation in 1990 - 1992. I evaluate mainly the complexity of mostly federal coexistence in a pluralistic democracy. I focus on the preparation and introduction of economic reforms, the voucher privatization and its acceptance by each of the different republics. I analyze the different impact of economic reforms on economic development and the main macroeconomic indicators in each of the republics. The last part follows the collapse of the federation and the subsequent necessary changes, such as the question of determining citizenship, issues of property division and the establishment and development of customs and monetary union. I also analyze the nature of cohabitation in Czechoslovakia in 1992. The aim of this work is to point out that the economic disparities between those two republics were not given by economic reform, and to show that these differences had an affect on the division of Czechoslovakia.

Effectiveness of a deposit system on one-way containers in Czech republic
Slavík, Jan ; Jílková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Hřebíček, Jiří (referee) ; Šarapatka, Bořivoj (referee) ; Hampl, Mojmír (referee)
The reasons of the contemporaly regulation in the waste management regarding the theoretical basis (on that the regulation is built) are the main objectives of this work. Because of high induced costs of the erroneous state measures built on wrong expectations in the economy and because of less effectiveness and efficiency of these measures this analysis is very important. The test of induced costs should be accomplished on the example of the deposit system on one-way containers (PET bottles and cans), which should be implemented into the public law in the Czech republic in next few years. Hardly any measure in the waste management is provoking so intensive diskussion, as the deposit system on some beverages does. What is the main reason? Especially the rise of abatement costs by subjects influenced by the deposit system and the influence on the system of separate collection. The deposit system and the separate collection are competitive systems because of the reciprocal relationship. Regarding the driving forces of the regulation the main goal of this work is the modelling of costs and benefits of the deposit system in the Czech republic and the analysis of the decision making proces of affected subjects.

Impact of education on long-term economic growth and pension system deficits
Münich, Daniel ; Ondko, Peter ; Straka, Jan
Long-term economic growth has a significant impact on the quality of life in a country. The education of its citizens is an important factor influencing the growth. Nevertheless, the relationship between economic growth and education is very long-term and not apparent at the first glance. However, this long-term relation can be illuminated with the help of quantitative projections. For this purpose, we use empirical estimates presented in the recent OECD report by Erik Hanushek and Ludger Woessmann. If the Czech Republic puts in place educational reform that leads to the increase of average cognitive skill level of 15 year old pupils (as measured by PISA survey) by a mere 25 points - hence only a fourth of the standard deviation, GDP in the current value is estimated to cumulatively increase by 12 trillion CZK over the next 80 years, thus 357 percent of the current annual GDP of the country. Unfortunately, the decrease in average cognitive skills levels that took place in the Czech Republic in the last decade leads to a similar GDP loss. If we were able to improve the average cognitive skills levels to Finnish standards, the additional production would even reach 707% of today’s GDP. If the average cognitive skills levels of the children of parents without high school degrees could be brought up to the level of those whose parents have high school degrees, it would increase production by 152% of the current GDP. The potential benefits recalculated in terms of annual budget exceed the current state budget deficit or budget for education. Finally, the higher GDP growth would significantly reduce the cumulated pension deficit.
