Compensatory therapy in patients with hallux valgus
DUŠKOVÁ, Šárka
This bachelor thesis is focused on the most common issue of foot acquired deformities, hallux valgus. This condition is characterized by the valgus positioning of the hallux with metatarsophalangeal joint rotation, varus and prominence of the first metatarsal head. The etiology of hallux valgus is multifactorial although risk factors for the developt of valgoid position of halluxes are divided in hereditary factors, direct and indirect effects. Deformity is often associated with longitudinal and transverse flatfoot. Deformity causes considerable difficulties to the patients, particularly in the form of post-exercise pain, calluses and blisters. Developing deformities may likewise create hammer fingers on the other toes. Last but not least, deformity and its complication significantly limit the selection of appropriate footwear. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the available information concerning risk factors in the development of hallux valgus, the contemporary approaches in physiotherapy for the treatment of this deformity as well as the aplication of complex therapies and its effectiveness evaluation. In modern kinesiology, hallux valgus is not regarded as a foot problem only as it is rather a complex movement disorder. Therapy was applied symptomatologically on all body, using a movement compensation reaction system. An appropriate therapy compilation for this issue is also included. In the theoretical part, the basic terminology regarding hallux valgus is explained, breaching the subjects of foot kinesiology, phylogenetic and ontogenetic development. It also describes diseases and deformites caused by intermetatarsal angle calcification. The largest part of this section is devoted to risk factors in the development of hallux valgus and its conservative therapy. Conservative therapy was based on the thorough obtention of anamnestic data and kinesiological analysis; the selection and application of physiotherapy procedures was determined by the present symptomatology. Therapy was carried out individually according to the current status, age and overall condition of the patients when seeking to correct muscle imbalance, posture, stereotype walking practice, education and regime measures. A quantitative research method was approached, performed by studying 3 patients? case reports with hallux valgus and who had not yet underwent surgery. Every case report contains anamnestic data, kinesiology analysis, description of therapy and long term draft planning for physiotherapy. The patients come from the Private Practice Olga Poláková in Jihlava. At the start of the study, the patients were acquainted with the process and aims of the therapy. Therapy results are evaluated in discussion and conclusion sections. All patients showed improvement in foot pain and overall foot kinesiology improvement. Experimental results demonstrate that the therapy was chosen accurately thereby accomplishing the aim of the present study. This bachelor thesis can be useful in raising awareness regarding the conservative treatment of hallux valgus and in the clinical practice of physiotherapy.

The question of miracles in non-christian religions
Adamczyk, Piotr ; Pelc, Bogdan (advisor) ; Ryšková, Mireia (referee)
This thesis deals with the question of miracles in non Christian religions. The idea of a miracle forms an essential part of all religions, i.e. not only in Christianity. In all faiths unusual divine interference exists. The first chapter deals with the miracle from the point of view of Catholic theology, specifically the conception of the miracle in the work of St. Augustin and St. Thomas Aquinas. Besides that, it also contains the contemporary definition of a miracle. In the second chapter a description is given of the conception of a miracle in the Old and New Testament. In the third chapter we find a presentation of ethnical faiths with their conception of a miracle (if relevant), which were performed by kings, magicians and witchmen. In the fourth chapter the question of miracle is related to two universal religions, i.e. Buddhism and Islam. These universal religions influenced the history of religion and were therefore elaborated upon separately. We should comprehend a miracle as a divine sign, which belongs to the basic conceptions of this term and does not only exist in Christianity. The history of religion confirms that in all faiths, which were studied, exist divine signs, which could be interpreted as miracles. Key words: - miracle - miracle in non-Christian religions - miracle in the...

Normative implications of legitimizing lobbying: cases of the Czech Republic and France
Vargovčíková, Jana ; Znoj, Milan (advisor) ; Slačálek, Ondřej (referee)
How is the political practice of lobbying being legitimized and what can these ways of legitimization tell us about how the conception of democratic legitimacy is changing? In particular, this work tries to demonstrate and analyse the double nature of the ways in which lobbying is being legitimized on the example of public debates on lobbying regulation in the Czech Republic and France: on the one hand, the use of discourses of participation of civil society, proximity, and stakeholder involvement shows that discourses of democratization of policy processes and decision-making processes have strong relevance in contemporary public debate in both countries studied. On the other hand, connecting these discourses to the practice of lobbying in turn reshapes the meaning of participation, stakeholder involvement and proximity in a way that puts limits to the understanding of these discourses of democratization

Promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding in Norway
Raestad, Ellen Wang ; Schneidrová, Dagmar (advisor)
Norway is the leading country in the aspect of promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding. From 1968 and up to today, 2010, Norway has increased the prevalence of breastfeeding from 5% breastfeeding at 3 months to 98% breastfeeding at 3 months today. With the EU Blueprint of Action a model was made to outline the actions a national or regional plan should contain and implement if effective protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding are to be achieved. The BabyFriendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) is a governmentfunded project carried out according to the WHO/UNICEF guidelines. BFHI is a global effort to implement practices that promote, protect and support breastfeeding. The Norwegian Breastfeeding Association (Ammehjelpen) was established in 1968. This was a milestone in the history of breastfeeding in Norway. This is a mothertomother support group where women who used to breastfeed volunteer to help mothers who encounter problems in breastfeeding.
