The Danish System of Out-Of Home Care
Otřísalová, Kristina ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Koláčková, Jana (referee)
This dissertation tries to deal with differences and similarities in Danish and Czech system of out of- home care. It describes the system of out-of-home care in Denmark and compares some particular topics with the system of out-of-home care in Czech Republic. This comparison should serve as an inspiration for the Czech system, which in many ways needs to be improved. It may be a bit surprising, that the share of children, who are brought up in different kinds of out of home care is about the same in Denmark and in Czech Republic. Where these two systems differ is the balance between different types of out-of-home care. The Czech system still deals with a big amount of children in different types of residential care rather than in foster care or adoption. The other big difference is in the matter of how the systems are organised in general. Danish system seems to give bigger emphasis on the personal responsibility and ability to make a right decision about the future of a child or a young person, which is then not needed to be examine by another authority. Strong emphasis is put on the responsible work of each local authority. Danish system is also more systematical than the Czech one in the matter of social work with family of the placed child and systematic work with the child's case in general....

The purpose of bachelor's thesis it is to show the importance of teacher-parent collaboration in educating children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This goal was reached by using specialised literature. The bachelor's thesis is dealing with autism spectrum disorders especially infantile autism. A characteristic symptom of infantile autism is the triad of impairments. This is reflected in social interaction and non - verbal communication, in verbal communication and in restricted stereotyped repetitive behaviours and narrow framework of interests and activities. Manifestations of the child have an impact on the socialization and adaptation, also on the family situation. Nature of disability or the reactions of others put families under pressure and causing stressful situation. Parents need understanding and support of professionals or must change the view on the situation to cope with the situation and accept the child as it is. Teacher-parent collaboration on both sides is vital for further development of children and their education. For the education of children with ASD are most frequently used structured learning based on individual approach, structuring and visualization. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Conception of death perceived by children
Kubáňková, Jarmila ; Valentová, Lidmila (advisor) ; Klusák, Miroslav (referee) ; Vágnerová, Marie (referee)
The aim of this paper is better understanding how children think about the world and what they know about how it goes there. The ambition of the research is to find meanings that children attach to the death. One of the prerequisites of research is the assumption that images of death can not be asked directly without causing undesirable reduction of potentially rich answers. For this reason, Thematic Apperception test was elected as a tool and the children told stories to a pre-selected board. Eleven children, at the age from 9 to 10 years collaborated on the research. As a comparative sample was subjected to the same test a group of eleven young adults aged 19 to 20 years. Stories of children and adults were subsequently subjected to thematic analysis, one category was the meaning of death for actors in the story. Results of the analysis were then put into context with Klatt (1991).
