Man's situation in the Western civilization
Jirsa, Lukáš ; Soukup, Václav (referee) ; Ortová, Jitka (advisor)
The central theme of this thesis is contemporary Western civilization and its supposed crisis. The theme reposes on the theories of the cultural code and the culture universalis. We share the opinion of many social scientists and the scientists who study the culture as a human type of adaptation, that there exist some characteristics common to aH human societies (religion, law, family, rituals ... ). The contemporary globalized world, which is dominated by Western civilization, is one of the most difficult subjects to treat for its complexity. Therefore, we used the theories on current civilization by the Dutch historian Johan Huizinga (ln the Shadows ojTommorow, 1936) and the American sociologist Pitirim A. Sorokin (The Crisis oj Dur Age, 1941). Their approach to modem society differs in many points, but they identify the same root of crisis: the abandonment of the Christian religion and its values as the principal of the cultural integration. Huizinga and Sorokin are persuaded that the contemporary Western civilization is based on the values of material wealth and power, which are not the ideal principles of integration. The evidence for such opinion is seen in the crisis of moral values, the lack of responsibility and growing individualism. These statements were plausible in the time of Huizinga's and...

Antošová, Petra ; Moree, Dana (advisor) ; Muhič Dizdarevič, Selma (referee)
Primary aim of this thesis is to introduce the concept of global development education and map non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are active in this field in the Czech Republic. Because the concept is still new, my goal was to find out how is it perceived by those who are putting it into practice, representatives of NGOs. Global development education touches topics that are paid attention on international as well as national levels more and more these days. It brings up to discussion global issues that are concern of each of us in some respect (word trade, globalization, climatic change, development countries, poverty etc.). The importance of the mentioned topics is reflected in new law that was introduced by The Czech Ministry of Education in 2004. It brings more freedom to schools in preparation of their educational programs; on the other hand, it catches them unprepared. NGOs which are more experienced and have direct contact with the field work are becoming sought-after partners for schools. Apart from know how and experience from developing countries, they are also bringing new methods and tools. The NGOs view themselves as the ones who have the ability to press the global issues through to educational system. They are also capable of motivating and activating of the target groups and offering...

Guluškinová, Cecílie ; Pavlíček, Václav (advisor) ; Hřebejk, Jiří (referee)
The constitutional presidantial decree no. 33/1945 Coll. and its meaning in the Czech republic law system. My interest in this topic woke up many media cases involved aristrocracy and major capital owners, who during the 2nd World War changed of the nationality and signed up for Germans, moreover participated in breaking down of Czechoslovakia. The aim of this thesis was trying to understand this period issue, with respect to historical and actual jurisprudence. These presidential decrees has always represented a symbol of national pride and glory for me, however, the major part of community associated them solely with deportation German minorities from Czechoslovakia. The reason for pride is the highest moral and professional standard of the political representation, who was able to create and establish oneself as government recognized as representative of Czech nation by most other states. This government, working in exile (contemporary in Englang), was headed by the president, Edvard Beneš, well known and respected by the whole world. This political compilation prepared conditions of post-war situation and reconstruction in Czechoslovakia in many fields. It should be higlighted, that the transfer of German and Hungarian minorities was not only problem of Czechoslovakia, but it had been done as a...

Blogs & Sponsored Articles
Sabat, Fabien ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Montoya, Corinne (referee)
I wrote this thesis to deepen my knowledge about the sponsored articles' market. Indeed, I'm working for one year in a company which is selling sponsored articles on blogs to announcers, it's why I decided to focus on the blogosphere to understand how its rising influence allowed the apparition of the sponsored articles' market. Moreover, I tried to propose solutions to improve the performance of my company on this market. In this paper, I describe what a blog is, how is it possible to classify them, the impact of these websites on the society but also the structure of the sponsored articles market. Precisely, we explain how the law responds to this evolution, who are the main actors on this market with for example intermediary's agencies putting in relation blogs and brands as my company Buzzea does. Also, I presented a survey conducted toward blogs by my company to understand how they are perceiving the sponsored articles. To conclude this paper, I enhance some solutions that my company could implement to be more competitive in this market.

The Christian theodicy as a paradox of philosophy
Jirousová, Františka ; Němec, Václav (referee) ; Karfíková, Lenka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the christian theodicy - an attempt to explain why God permits evil. This work shows from the historical point of view that the christian theodicy was originated as an alternative to the gnostic dualism. The logical outcome is that the christian theodicy seems to be an attempt to put together three statements. 1.God is good. 2.God is almighty. 3.The evil exists in the world. In real example ( Augustin, "The theodicy after Osvetimy", Paul Ricoeur) is shown that it is only partly in function and the price for this is weakening or even denying the statement concerning God's good as the Almighty. The author tries on the base of Teilhard de Chardin's detailed understanding of evil to identify future of the contemporary theodicy, its benefits could bring a new philosophical way of thinking for features of evil in the world, knowing that the evil must always remain mystery of God as it is understood in christianity. The main conclusion of this thesis is a view that full rationalization of evil in the world leads to totalitarian of thinking and to a dishonored view of christians towards God. The inability to rationalize evil and the explanation of what reasons God permits evil is in this work understood as the biggest positive example of the christian theodicy and as a guarantee against...

Firstly, the phenomenon is contextualized in the group of other types of computer-mediated communication realized by the medium of the Internet. Secondly, it is defined by the factors of public accessibility (versus the participants' illusion of privacy) and dialogic, interactive properties. Lastly, it is put in contrast with online chat concerning the presence of a topic, asynchronous and more permanent character. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and describe the way contemporary Czech language is used in this particular environment. It is also common that...
