Oberreiterová, Lada ; Galamboš, Leo (referee) ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor)
Libraries are important and essentials resources for scientific research, work in academic environment and development of our society. Libraries invest vast sums of money to purchase information resources in order to extend their materials and by doing so, satisfying the needs of their readers. Several means to optimize the acquisition policy are utilized. Statistical analysis is one of the significant decisive and control mechanisms which is essential foundation for the vindication of financial expenses, planning for their further use and objective examination of available resources utility. The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyse and to make a proposal and to implement the system which allow facilitation at the scheduling of the investments and to improve the quality of the library materials. At first the focus is dedicated to a processes and techniques which pass over during the acquisition, next obtaining the knowledges significant for the unique demands of applications and analysis. After the preliminary part of analysis this tesis describe the choice of the technologies and my personal concept of application. My tesis is concluded with the implementation and the testing procedure of the resulting application. The result of the implementation is a database application which process the data about the...

Ways to address selected areas of cooperative organization and its application in Cluster Omnipack
Lukavec, Petr ; Klas, Jan (advisor) ; Molnár, Zdeněk (referee)
This work is based on knowledge of concept of clusters and of other cooperative organizations. The general objective of this work is to solve specific, narrowly defined problems of a particular cluster. The reason was to come up with a solution that will be applicable and useful in this particular cluster. And this solution may be useful also in other clusters, because clusters throughout Europe, have many common features. Problems were generated by the author, during talks with representatives of cluster Omnipack. So these problems are important and really relevant for this cluster. Next goal was to measure these issues in relation to basic criteria, like importance, and difficulty. This evaluation was the basis for selecting problems to solve. Other objective was to search for specific solutions using existing literature, examples from other clusters and output of own research of clusters. As main problem to solve was chosen problem called "performance measurement". Because no suitable solution was found in the literature or other resources, author had to create own solution. Problematic area of the problem "performance assessment" was described as follows: "Support from European Union subsidies is really crucial for many clusters in Czech Republic right now. But after the end of these subsidies, clusters will have to prove or demonstrate to its members that they are still useful. Then cluster members will be then willing to continue with financial supporting of their cluster." The problem was solved from the perspective of cluster members, and main areas of its concept are performance evaluation of cluster members from the perspective of a cluster member, benefits of the cluster as a whole for members of the cluster, the benefits of other members of the cluster for a particular member of the cluster and cluster management role for the use of these advantages from the perspective of cluster members. Solution of this problem is very detailed and extensive, and represents main author's scientific contribution. Important point of this approach is evaluating the performance of the cluster from the perspective of cluster members. This approach brings some new insights. Author proposed his own concept of looking at the actors and factors, influencing the performance of cluster members. Proposed concept of pairwise comparison of cluster members is also really innovative. It brings new opportunities in the detailed description and understanding the cluster by its members and management.

Software for Design of Timetables
Bureš, Jan ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a software for elementary, middle and high schools, which will serve to create alternative timetables for staff substitutions. There are similarly oriented programs, but most schools don't use them. These programs contain many flaws, which are also discussed in this work. Creating substitution schedules is complicated, and a lot of conditions must be taken care of. Checking of all the conditions should be the main advantage of the application. Design and implementation of the application is based on requirements by a school, where substitution timetables are produced manually. Great emphasis is placed on user friendliness and ease of use.

Web application for programming student training
Podolka, Luděk ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (referee)
Goal of this master thesis is to describe possible solutions for compilation, execution and unit testing of user programs written in Java hosted on web server. Another goal is to design and to implement web application which would allow students to write and to test simple programs during Java lessons. Chosen method for achieving first goal is studying relevant resources, mainly documentation and source code of projects which implement dynamic program execution. To accomplish the second goal the author uses requirements analysis and principles of agile methodology of extreme programming. Parts of UML notation are used to make the design part clear. First part is focused on theory behind dynamic program execution in Java, class loading, compilation of source code and software security. Overview of tools built upon these basic concepts follows. These are dynamic module systems, software testing tools, build automation tools and continuous integration servers. Previously mentioned tools implement dynamic program execution. Third group consists of tools for source code quality analysis which could be considered as components of application for education purposes that is to be implemented. The author summarizes the task of new application development and performs requirement analysis in the practical part. Internal structure of future application is briefly discussed by the author. The demonstration of detailed design is derived from one of user stories. Overview of tools and technologies used during the analysis, design and implementation is also part of the text. Integral part of this thesis is web application hosted on http://kitscm.vse.cz/tppv/. Authors contribution to the topic is synthesis of existing solutions to problems neccessary to analyze, design and implement working web application for program testing and the result of these processes itself.
