Tooth Detection of jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Kantor, Roman ; Hulík, Rostislav (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This document discusses a problem of tooth detection on jaw 3D polygonal model. It describes known methods that can be used to reach expected results, such as their advantages and disadvantages. Considering this, I choose one solution that is closely described with all theory needed for its implementation.
Application for Remote DEVS Modelling and Simulation
Kolařík, Jan ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of an client-server application. This application is used to remote access to models of systems, which are saved on the server. Application also provides editation of the models and their simulation. In the thesis there is a design of Communication Protocol between the client and server too. For the implementation of the client and prototype of the server was used Qt library. Server is realized as a part of existing simulation core (SmallDEVS), which is implemented by Smalltalk.
Debugging Tool for Shaders
Konečný, Jiří ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of a debugging and development tool for GLSL shader programming. In the text, you will find design of the application and it's implementation in Qt library. The thesis also includes performance testing with GLSL shaders. Experiments were focused on commands of application control flow in GLSL and texturing commands used in shaders. In the thesis, you will find explanation of the functionality of some shaders used in OpenGL. Application developed in this thesis, is meant to help with implementation of graphic programs programmed in OpenGL 3.3 or higher.
Escape Motions: Flame Painter Extensions
Piovarči, Rastislav ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Main goal of this master´s thesis is to propose and implement improvements to an original purely raster version of Flame Painter editor. An enhancement of the undo/redo system with emphasise to its functionality and memory requirements has been implemented. Moreover, the editor was extended by adding an ability to edit brush strokes using vector primitives which effectively assist the user in future stroke editing. This project was created in cooperation with employees of the Escape Motions Company.
Educational Tool for Coloured Petri Nets
Navrátil, Ondřej ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Rogalewicz, Adam (advisor)
Coloured Petri nets (CPN) are an extension of a standard place-transition Petri nets (P/T PN). Every token and place have its type (and eventually a value) and various inscriptions can be inserted into the net. CPN excel with great readibility and expresivity. At the same time, they carry a well-defined formal basis, which eases its computer simulation and allows limited verification of certain attributes to be performed. Motivation for doing this project is the simple fact that currently only one public software tool is available for CPN creation and simulation - CPNTools developed on the Aarhus university. The program, however, is quite complicated and hard to handle for an unexperienced user. The goal is to research capabilities and properties of both CPNs and CPNTools and on this basis design and implement a didactic application with swift and intuitive interface that helps users without deeper theoretical insight to get a grasp of the problematics.
Shadow Techniques on Contemporary Hardware and Their Comparison
Tóth, Michal ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This master's project focuses on basic techniques of creating shadows in 3D computer graphics. Two basic techniques are compared. Those are shadow maps and shadow volumes. Another technique combining previouse two is proposed.
Advanced Simulator of MSP430 Microcontrollers
Kaluža, Jan ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to provide an introduction to MSP430 microcontrollers and to design a simulator of these microcontrollers, focusing on easy implementation of extensions using peripherals. After a short introduction, the MSP430 microcontrollers are briefly described, including their internal peripherals and the formats used to store the binary executable code. The thesis continues with a  description of discrete event simulation using the DEVS formalism. Based on previous chapters, the new simulator (consisting of a simulation core, graphical user interface and library for MSP430 microcontroller simulation)  is designed and implemented. The implementation is tested by comparison with real microcontroller and in the end of the thesis, there is a summary and evaluation of the implemented simulator.
Bridge between GLUT and Graphical User Interface Library
Friesse, Jan ; Smrž, Pavel (referee) ; Vyskočil, Michal (advisor)
This document describes a major problems with creating 3D applications in a graphic library named OpenGL. There are some basic informations about a GLUT library including main advantages and disadvantages and a description of alternative implementations of a GLUT API. Further content is focused on the most familiar graphic libraries for creating user interfaces which should be used to develop the OpenGL applications and with their advantages and disadvantages too. The next part describes a draft of a new GLUT API implementation based on the selected user interface library. Major part of thesis is about implementation of GtkGLUT library. Reader can find this implementation on CD. Last part describes future development plans.
Recursive Web Search in KDE
Hefka, Lukáš ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with problems related to web sites browsing from the KDE desktop environment. Part of this thesis is to introduce the application interface of this environment, suggestion description and application amplementation. The thesis supports range of restrictions both for searching area and searching itself. Application goes through the internet with the help of recursion and hypertext links. In conclusion there are descriobed application advatages in comparison with other alternative.
Multiplatform Application for Speaker Verification
Görig, Jan ; Matějka, Pavel (referee) ; Glembek, Ondřej (advisor)
Bachelor thesis considers speaker recognition without knowledge of spoken message. There are described current feature extraction methods and their evaluation using Gaussian mixture model. The practical output of this work is application for visualization of the recognition process. Developed application is cross platform and it uses Qt and BSAPI libraries.
