Tourism promotion in protected areas: case study the Šumava National Park

The work deals with the promotion of tourism in protected areas with the example of the Šumava National Park. This geografic fairly complicated region, which is developing in the area of nature protection management, is looking for one of the appropriate ways to develop even in the 21st century. Tourism is one of the possible variations thanks to natural conditions and existing tourism infrastructure. The Bachelor thesis introduces the importance of this sector in the Šumava Mountains, suitable forms of tourism in protected areas and specific projects to promote tourism in light of selected groups of actors operating in the monitored area. The field survey work contains the interview with local development officials and representatives of the Ministry of Environment on the issue of environmental management of tourism in the Šumava National Park.

Space in Valle-Inclán's Sonatas

V první kapitole naší práce jsme stručně přiblížili některé teoretické přístupy ke studiu poetiky prostoru v literárním díle. Cílem bylo na základě různých inspirací vytvořit metodu, která by vyhovovala zkoumání prostorové konfigurace čtyř Sonát Ramóna M. del Valle- Inclána. Vedoucí inspirací se stala studie polského teoretika Januzse Sławińskeho. V závislosti na ní jsme se rozhodli zaměřit nejdříve na styl a specifika popisu prostoru. Centrální částí našeho zkoumání se pak mělo stát podrobné studium struktury nejdůležitějších prostorů Pamětí markýze Bradomína, vedoucí k určení významotvornosti prostorové složky pro textový celek a k odhalení jejího vztahu k složkám dalším. V kapitole o popisu jsme shrnuli nejzávažnější rysy a specifika deskripce prostorů v Sonátách. Sledovali jsme metodu francouzského teoretika Philippa Hamona, srovnávajíce jeho závěry ze zkoumání popisu v realisticko-naturalistickém diskursu s podobou popisu v Sonátách. Jako nejvýznamnější charakteristiky deskripce v tomto díle jsme určili vysokou míru vypravěčovy subjektivity při popisu, dynamizující zdobnost podtémat jednotlivých prostorů a používání kulturních klišé, jež vede k aktivnímu zapojení čtenáře do literární komunikace. Intermunicipal Cooperation in Inner Periphery of Czechia: the Třemšín Microregion

The master thesis aims to study at some length the region so called inner periphery. This research work is focused on comparision between theorethical concepts of periphery areas and the actual situation in model microregion Třemšín which extends on the border of three Czech NUTS III regions. Considerable part of the master thesis is dedicated to a discussion about conceptions of peripherness, rural area and rural communities and also about the relation between human and social capital and the development of inner periphery/rural area. Methods contain searching previous information and study of researches done in the context of space polarization, rural development and some sociological researches about human and social capital. The next step is to define some model region suitable to the condition of beeing an example of Czech inner periphery area. Because of the interest in discover how efficient is a cooperation of rural municipalities based on institutional framework, the existing municipal cooperation confederacy Třemšín was appointed. The own research work consist in interviewing mayors of municipalities concerned and posterior analysis of their opinions. In order to achieve efficient evaluation of SQL queries, database systems provide its users with set of integrated index access methods. When a new access method is required for various reasons, one of the possibilities to implement such method in a relational DBMS is the way of exploiting relational tables of given database system. This approach does not involve any internal changes of database system kernel and thus it is available to all developers even when the target DBMS is not distributed as an open source. In the terms of extensible database architecture, only the availability to extend existing DBMS with a new data type is required. In this work, UB-Tree index has been integrated into Oracle DBMS in such way. Index related tables have been designed in two different ways and four alternatives to evaluate relevant queries have been proposed and studied. Finally, several experiments have been done to compare performance of an access method implemented via the relational approach and a native kernel integration of the same method.

Subject analysis of cultural columns in Mladá fronta newspaper in the consequence of social changes after 1989

Before my analysis of cultural column in the newspaper Mlada Fronta Dnes, I asked a few questions and I set a hypothesis. I was curious, how the cultural page in the newspaper was influenced by american culture. In determined years 1992, 1996 and 2000, from four to eleven years after the 1989 velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia, followed by the change of political regime, I analyzed, to what extend are film, literature and fine arts published in the newspaper and also what space the cultural column actually takes. Using domain knowledge in applications of GUHA procedures

We presume for this work, that the GUHA procedures' abilities can be extended by using domain knowledge in a suitable form. There are two types of domain knowledge used in this work: background knowledge and ontologies. Background knowledge is a relatively unknown, yet perspective type of domain knowledge containing rules from domain experts in a written form. The work describes this knowledge and introduces suitable rule formalization. Furthermore, a tool for rule validation is described and implemented. The implementation is done in the Ferda environment, a modular environment for visual GUHA data mining. The work also describes first practical experience with this tool. Concerning domain ontologies, the work greatly extends up-to-date knowledge of usage of ontologies in the GUHA data mining. There are all the former techniques for ontology usage mentioned and extended; in suitable cases the implementation design in Ferda environment is presented. The results of the work are discussed with respect to further usage in the Ever-Miner system, a next generation knowledge discovery tool

Energy evaluation of office building.

This diploma thesis is dealing with energy audit of industrial building with administration part, situated in Blansko, South Moravia region. The theoretical part is focused to windows from the energy balance point of view, because one of the energy saving measures is the change of current insufficient window filling. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to find the most energy saving variant which is going to be evaluated from the both, ecological and economical, aspect. The third part is dedicated to usage of computer technology as software for 3D model creating of assessed building or energy consumption simulation for particular systems as heating in relation to characters of different kinds of windows.

Using Stratego/XT for Generation of Software Connectors

Software connectors are used in component based systems as a special entities modeling and realizing component interactions. Besides this behavior, connectors can provide extra functionality and benefits (e.g. logging, adaptation, monitoring). This approach requires generation of connector code with respect to requirements of components, a target environment and features specified at the design stage. In this thesis we show how to extend the existing connector generator [33] by the Stratego/XT transformation engine, which includes a language for implementing program transformations and a collection of transformation tools. We use the toolset to realize a simple method of defining connector implementation, which is use as a template for a process of generation source code.
