Cocaine as a status symbol

Presented bachelor thesis entitled "Cocaine as a status symbol" is focused on the relationship between cocaine use and a status symbol. The thesis points out on the rapidly increasing popularity of cocaine, which probably partially replace the role of ecstasy, as a dance drugs. This trend progressively reaches a European scale. For this reason I consider this topic actual and worthy of interest. The thesis is divided into two parts connected to each other. The theoretical part is focused on summary of general knowledge. There is the description of cocaine as plants in the context of the history of its use. There is description of the discovery of cosine and use in connection with its use in the past. It also focuses on the psychological and somatic effects of cosine use, the general mechanisms and forms of application. For completeness are shown the consequences of long term of cosine use. Then thesis focuses on the symbol and its meanings and the ritual. The last theoretical chapter is devoted to the body of knowledge about the social system and social structure, and also deals with the description of social status, a status symbol. Last but not least, is the topic of the social aspect of cocaine use. In the practical part of thesis presents the results of research. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between cocaine use to express social status as a status symbol. I chose the strategy of qualitative research to achieve the objektive of the thesis. Data collection was realized by technice of narrative interview.

Fairy Tales - Non Fairy Tales (Irony and Satire in the works of I. Dankova and O. Friedrich)

The subject of this thesis titled Fairy Tales - Non Fairy Tales (Irony and Satire in the works of I. Dankova and O. Friedrich) is unveiling fairy-tale motifs utilized in books intended for adults. The main task was to dismantle two works of mentioned authors and compare them. In the theoretical part of the thesis I deal with the fairy tale in general, history and I also occupied with dividing the folk and literary fairy tale, including subtypes of these two basic types. Other chapters are devoted just to the South Bohemian Region, which both writers come from and were inspired by this region. Last but not least, I deal with a creation of fairy tales intended for adult readers, after that with the definition of irony and satire, and at the very end of the theoretical part I devoted to life and work of these two authors. The practical part is based on the analysis of two selected books, specifically Machorek from Ilona Dankova and Bedtime Stories star from Olga Friedrich. My task was to bring briefly all stories closer, characterize the main characters, find fairy-tale motifs, and finally highlight components of irony and satire. At the very end I summarize both works, compare them in terms of language and evaluate which one of two authors complied with their task better.

The Pahari Doms: the case study of Dom communities living in surrounding of the town Bhimtal in Indian state Uttaranchal

The thesis introduces gathered Indian castes that are known as Doms. The Dom castes are considered to be the groups in where Roma originated. The thesis is a case study of particular localities of the North-Indian region Kumaon (Uttarakhand province). The thesis focuses on the daily life of local Dom groups, their position in the caste system, and also targets the professions they are performing. It further targets the practices performed during choosing the partner and also focuses on their religious ideas about the world around them. Finally it itroduces the parallels, that can be found between Doms and Roma.

Development of forestation and landscape recultivation in Krusne Hory with usage of knowledgement project for secondary schools

The submited dissertation talks about development of forestation and landscape recultivation in Krusne Hory, followed by questionaire, which is investigating the problems of studied region. This questionaire is intended for students from secondary and intermediate schools and is targeted not only for general knowledge about the Krusne hory mountains, but also for its wooden structure and development of forestation. Students should be able to define term of recultivation, orientate themselves in recultivation types and phases as well as have overview of already recultivated landscapes in their surrounding. On behalf of results from above questionaire I created the educational CD, which is also the part of my dissertation. This instruction CD includes all the problems from studied area and can serve as a seminar utility in biology lessons or environment training in biological seminar. The last part of my dissertation is an educational project called "Surrounding of my landscape." This project is determind for students from secondary and intermediate schools.

Development of inceptive literacy in chosen alternative systems

The goal of my dissertation with the name "Development o f inceptive lileracy in chosen alternativě systems " is to zoom in the teaching o f reading and writing in most widespread alternativě schools in the Czech Republic, to compare diserete components of education with regular elementary school and focus more detailed on pedagogy and specifics in teaching elementary reading and writing on Waldorf and M. Montessori school. Both mentioned alternativě systems o f schools are using for teaching inceptive lileracy the genetic met hod or at least čerta i n parts ofthis met hod. Besides o f using the right met hod is fo r encompassment o f reading and writing import ani also other factors, which are present m alternativě schools, as fo r example environment and systém o f education, approach of leacher to student and so on. This dissertation should serve not only as a guide for giving the idea about elementary methods in teaching o f reading and writing, but also should Joreshadow idea o f the systém o f education lileracy in Waldorf and M. Analysis and enhancements design of the business intelligence subsystem.

A great number of organizations realize the need to search for and collect the data, which are very useful for obtaining the information that simplifies the key business decisions. From that reason comes it nowadays to the development in a field called Business Intelligence (BI). BI is a complement of processes, technologies and tools that enable to transform company's data to actionable business information useful for particular actions, promotion of the business decisions and improvement of the running of the company. BI combines the ideas and processes from the business world and using algorithms and techniques for managing of the data and transformation of this data into useful information. The goal of this master thesis is to extend the existing information system by BI subsystem and thereby support the decision making of management and improve company's competitive edge. There is necessary to analyze of important data and processes in company, chose the proper architecture, make a design and implementation of BI subsystem. The main output of this work is the prototype implementation of BI subsystem named UESBI which will be sequentially deployed and progressively extend by additional functions.

Chronic disorders that occur at elementary schools

Reces on chronic disorders that occur at elementary schools. It mainly talks about formulation, structure, procedure, analysis of effects, and preventiv of the chronic disorders. Detailed focus is on identifying school children suffering from some chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, eczema, or flu. Reports and cooperation on an "Asthma, eczema, diabetes, flu" project were used to detect the suffering children. Both, healthy and sick children cooperate to achieve set goals within the project. Lastly, the matter of this thesis also includes prevention - recommendation to parents, whose children suffer from the diseases mentioned above. Theoretical observations having reference to chronic diseases, structure of reports, methods of evaluating the effects, preparation of the project and recommendation to parents whose children suffer from chronic disease are applied to completed report examination, project implementation, and discussion with parents.

Tuněchody company,i.e. to analyse the external and internal environment, to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and last but not least to conceive strategic recommendations. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the theoretical part and the application part.

Brand launch of a feminine fashion brand in the Czech Republic

This master thesis "Brand launch of a feminine fashion brand in the Czech Republic" provides a market analysis, which is antecedent to a brand launch. The main goal of this thesis was to answer, whether the particular fashion brand is interesting for Czech female consumers and whether the Czech market is interesting for the brand. The respective brand Friis & Company offers ultra-feminine and latest trends accessories and wants to provide their customers with "a bit of luxury for every day". The target group of the brand are young women in the age of 15 to 35. The master thesis is divided into two main parts -- a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part discusses, among others, the main trends and specifics of the fashion business, specifics of women's purchase decision-making and the relation of women towards fashion. The practical part introduces the brand and provides the following analyses: PEST analysis of the Czech market, analysis of consumer behaviour of young Czech women in relation to fashion accessories, analysis of fashion brands present at the Czech market and a test of the brand's concept on Czech female consumers. A large part of the practical section of the master thesis is based on own survey.

This bachelor thesis titled Quality pork deals with the issue of factors that affect meat quality. The introductory section describes the general concepts such as definitions and chemical composition of meat. It also deals with quality indicators pork, especially physical (texture, pH, meat remission, electrical properties and redox potential), sensory (color, meat tenderness, flavor and aroma of meat, juiciness and the marbling) and technological properties such as such as water-holding. Another great part of this work focuses on the factors that influence the quality of the meat. It covers the effects of genetic, intravital and post-mortem influences. Attention is paid to the quality deviations as PSE, DFD, "cold shortening", Hampshire factor, RSE and PFN. Finally as in this work to include the health and quality brand of food.
