Effect of ethylsilicate consolidating agents on behaviour and properties of glaukonitic sandstone used to building of St. Vitus´ Cathedral
Drdácký, Miloš ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Valach, Jaroslav
This report is focused on testing and evaluating of properties of chosen consolidating agends for concervation of relief bust in external triforium of St. Vitus´ Cathedral on Prague Castle (CZ). All tested agends contained ethyl ester of silicic acid (ethylsilicate) as active ingredient and were one-component. Penetration deepness of agends into sandstone and sandstone properties after application consolidating agends: bending strenght, modulus of elasticity, thermal expansion, vapour water permeability, hygric expansion were observed. The evaluated agends behaviour very similarly and there are no dramatically better or worse agends. All agends penetrate quite well into sandstone and relatively deep and increase strength of sandstone after impregnation.

Increase and reduction of the registered capital of a limited liability company
Plajnerová, Barbora ; Štenglová, Ivanka (advisor) ; Horáček, Tomáš (referee)
The goal of this work is the analysis of current legal regulation of the process of increasing and decreasing the registered capital of a limited liability company. Registered capital belongs among the most important institutes characterizing capital companies. Limited liability company, as a capital company, has the liability to create registered capital and maintain it at least in the minimum amount required by law for the entire time of its existence (registered capital preservation principle). As a consequence of changes of economic conditions and other facts, which may arise inside or outside of a company, a need to alter the amount of the registered capital may arise, but always only in certain limits determined by law, and through rather formalized process regulated by provisions of the Commercial Code. The legal regulation of the Commercial Code and this work focus on the process of changes of registered capital itself and on protection provided to creditors of the company and members of the company within this process. That is, the amount of the registered capital may have significant influence on external relations with business partners and financing companies and may bring significant changes within the company as well. However, the main issue is the change in the arrangement and the...

Resource-based classification of habitats of Central European macro-moths
PAVLÍKOVÁ, Anežka
To be used as a predictive conservation tool, classification of animal habitats should rely on actual resource requirements of individual species. Shreeve et al. (2001) illustrated this for British butterflies (J. Insect Conserv. 5, 145-161). To test this approach for a group with less-known distribution and biology, I produced a resource-based classification of habitats of Central European moths. I considered macrolepidopteran families except the megadiverse Geometridae and Noctuidae. Our data consisted of 179 binomically-coded traits for 164 species. I used PCA to ordinate the moths according to their resources, and compared resulting classification with external ecological data. The moths formed five groups: (i) associated with dense arboreal vegetation; (ii) associated with grasslands of herb layer; (iii) associated with sparse woody vegetation; (iv) early successional hawk moths; and (v) lichen-feeding arctiids. The classification was also robust after deleting hostplant taxonomy. Groups (i), (ii) and (iii) sustained control for taxonomic position, whereas (iv) and (v) did not. The groups differed in the representation of biogeographic elements, size-classes of distribution ranges, pest species, and Red-listed species. Endangered species were over-represented in (ii) and (iii) and underrepresented in (i). These preliminary results illustrate the utility of this resource-based approach for predictive inference in conservation.

Problems of Russian-Chinese cooperation in energy sphere 2000-2010. The issue of oil and natural gas
Imrich, Jakub ; Pečenka, Marek (advisor) ; Litera, Bohuslav (referee)
Thesis Problems of Russian-Chinese cooperation in energy sphere 2000-2010: The issue of oil and natural gas is a work which is discussing main problems of cooperation between biggest producer and biggest consumer of energy in the world. My aim is to analyze these problems and answer the question, why is the mutual energy relationship not developing as we could logically assume. One of the objectives will not be analyzing mutual political disputes between these two countries. Firs part of the work offers brief excursion into the relationship in the past which was not very friendly. Second chapter is about different meaning of energy for Russian Federation and People's Republic of China and contains facts about bilateral trade considering oil and natural gas. Third chapter is most comprehensive and is pivotal for thesis and it analyzes problems of cooperation. This part of work examines inner problems of Russia, inner problems if China and main external factors which affect the energetic convergence of these two countries as well. Conclusions from the analyzed problems are then summarized in the last chapter. In this part there are also given some future prospects how the oil and natural gas trade between Russia and China might evolve in the future. In conclusion part there are briefly summarized...

Molecular phylogeny and evolutionary trends in Hieracium (Asteraceae, Lactuceae)
Krak, Karol ; Fehrer, Judith (advisor) ; Zozomová, Judita (referee) ; Nieto Feliner, Gonzalo (referee)
The hawkweed subgenus Hieracium s. str. is notoriously known for its extreme morphological variability and variation in ploidy levels that is associated with differences in modes of reproduction. Extensive past hybridization is supposed for the subgenus, but recent hybridization was evidenced only in few cases. The subgenus attracts the attention of botanists already for more than a century. Therefore the species diversity is largely examined and the taxonomy of the subgenus is well elaborated, although several contradictory taxonomic concepts exist. However the relationships among the species are unknown and haven't been studied yet. The investigation of these relationships from a phylogenetic perspective using molecular approaches was the main aim of the presented thesis. Basic species (both diploid and polyploid), representing morphologically unique taxa, that are supposed to be the basic evolutionary units of the subgenus were studied. The sequences of two intergenic spacers of the cpDNA (trnT-trnL and trnV-ndhC) and the external transcribed spacer of the nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA ETS) were analyzed. Moreover, three new low-copy nuclear markers with higher variability than nrDNA and cpDNA markers were developed and their suitability for phylogenetic studies in Hieracium s. str. was...

Economic and political aspects of integration of Turkey into the EU.
Lorková, Aneta ; Hnát, Pavel (advisor) ; Tunkrová, Věra (referee)
This thesis in three chapters, objectively and impartially summarizes the key economic and political integration of Turkey into the EU and refers to any present or future pros and contras associated with joining the EU. First chapter focuses particularly on the economic situation of the country, current and future important energetic position of Turkey and Turkish demographic projections. Second chapter analyzes the army's role in the country and its potential ability to protect the EU external borders. The chapter also seeks to offer a comprehensive look at the circumstances and causes of the Cyprus question, turkish good-neighborly relations and the persistent instability in the underdeveloped regions of the country, coupled with Kurdish separatism in the southeast and the so-called "Armenian genocide". For better understanding of the benefits and risks of selected political and economic aspects are tables in the beginning of chapters. Final chapter outlines the current situation of Turkey's accession process, briefly acquainted with the Copenhagen criteria, analyzing the Commission's progress report on Turkey in 2009 and finally outlines the probable developments of the possible variations of the Union and Turkey relation and describes the potential impacts on the EU and Turkey in case of refusal of membership.

Evaluation of Minimal Preventive Programs in Elementary Schools with Bearings to Prague 5
Francová, Magdaléna ; Veselý, Arnošt (advisor) ; Nekola, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with minimal preventive programs in elementary schools in Prague and research of evaluation of these programs. Theoretical background is on evaluation of public policy, the school as an educational institution, risk behavior and primary prevention. The research is qualitative in nature and based on semi-structured interviews, and on the analysis of minimal prevention programs in elementary schools in Prague 5. Work includes design of a single structure of these programs and design of an evaluation tool for external evaluators. Programs from Prague 5 are evaluated on the basis of this evaluation tool. Subsequently the best program is analyzed as an example of good practice in a case study.

The aim of this thesis is to compare these economic relations and study the impact of the agreements on Mexico. Chapter one presents the mexican economy and its characteristics. Chapter two focuses on the Mexico's position within NAFTA and its potencial perspectives. The same aim is used in chapter three, that examines the relations with the European Union. Emphasis is put on trade and investment relations.

EU Policy towards Eastern Partnership Countries. A Gap between Goals and Achievements
Mammadova, Gunel ; Plechanovová, Běla (advisor) ; Kučerová, Irah (referee)
This study seeks to examine and assess the effectiveness of the Eastern Partnership Policy (EaP) of the European Union. Beside introduction of positive novelties of the Eastern Partnership, this paper gives a premium attention to scrutinize the possible limitations and shortfalls of EaP. Hence, the study aims to analyze some internal and external factors that complicate the effective functioning of the EaP. The inconsistency of the EU policy structure, the role of Russia and its Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU) in EAP, the ambivalent policy of some Member States (Germany and Italy are examined) toward the EaP, unconsidered discrepancy of eastern partners are analyzed and considered as prime reasons of ineffectiveness. In addition, examined case studies of Ukraine and Azerbaijan reveal that the EU's commitment to their "shared values" are controversial. This paper presents that the EU should find a balance between its economic/energy interests and normative values vis-a-vis Eastern Partners in order to fill the gap between its goals and achievements.
