Artificial Intelligence for modern card games
Vejmola, Jiří ; Sýkora, Ondřej (advisor) ; Gemrot, Jakub (referee)
In this work we study the ways of implementing arti cial intelligence for modern card games. We strive to create various players, to put them into matches against each other. By doing so we can verify the efficiency of employed methods, such as simulation, random approach, opponent modeling, xed strategy, etc. We would also like to nd out what influence do other game elements have on the progress of the game and the performance of individual players. The game used in the thesis is based on Magic: The Gathering's rules for two players, speci cally on Magic 2010 Core Set, which revised certain parts of the game. These rules are then modi ed or simpli ed when necessary for implementing game mechanics on a computer. Decks of cards used in testing are based on the existing ones.

The Role of Imaging in Surgical Inflammatory Complications
KOPRDOVÁ, Eliška
The Role of Imaging in Surgical Inflammatory Complications Interventional radiology is a dynamic and fast developing specialization. Development of new methods and instruments extends possibilities of mini-invasive treatment of a wide range of illnesses. Introduction of a specific percutaneous drain in case of abdominal abscess in clinical practice counts among most important progress of 1980s concerning this field. The percutaneous drain is relatively fast and simple method and it belongs to urgent interventional operations. Indication for the percutaneous drain is a treatment or a palliative treatment of sepsis accompanied by an infected lesion. Most authors agree that there is no absolute contraindication of the percutaneous drain for pathological liquid collection. Therefore, this type of drain may be considered as a method selection. It is possible to execute it even before a possible surgical operation. The goal of my work was to assess retrospectively the experience of the Radiological Department of the Teaching Hospital in Plzeň Bory concerning this field within the selected period of time. For this reason, a single-purpose database has been created, which contains data of patients who underwent the percutaneous drain under the supervision of the CT or UZ within a certain period of time. Such data has been processed statistically. The work did not prove any of the hypotheses of mine that interventional techniques may in all cases substitute surgical operation while treating suppurative inflammatory lesions in the area of chest, abdomen and soft tissues. The percutaneous drain brings unquestionable advantages into clinical practice. Among most important ones, there are a removal of a surgical operation risk and of total anaesthesia, above all in the acute phase of illness. Simplification of post-operative care, shortening of the average hospitalization as well as economic advantages. This concerns a method that should always be considered as the first step among possible treatments of infected lesion.

Lucky Imaging for RTS2
Kutka, Alexander ; Šimberová, Stanislava (referee) ; Flusser, Jan (advisor)
Thanks to the rapid development of CCD detectors there is a method called "Lucky Imaging" being used in astronomy in the past years. Like adaptive optics, Lucky imaging makes it possible to gain pictures with resolution close to the diffraction limit, i.e. it gives to ground based telescopes the possibility to gain pictures with the resolution close to the resolution of telescopes placed outside the atmosphere. Lucky imaging is cheaper alternative to Adaptive Optics, with a lower demandingness on the presence of reference stars. This Diploma thesis is an implementation of Lucky Imaging into a software system for robotics observatory control called "RTS2". Three algorithms for evaluation of image focus are studied and their performance is compared on digital images acquired by a telescope. In the second part of the thesis, two methods of image registration are studied, which are used to suppress noise on the acquired images.

Rights among neighbours
Růžičková, Eva ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
Resumé The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze a current state of law of neighbour's rights. In the Czech Republic the legal relations between neighbours are stated in the act No. 40/1964 Coll., the Civil Code and it has an unfungible place in our legal order. The legal relations between neighbours belong into the area of the jura in re and they are connected with the problems of ownership. Ownership is absolute law. It means that it has impact against everybody. Everybody has to refrain from the intervention to owner's right but sometimes it's necessary to limit this right. One of these cases is regulation of neighbour's rights according to section 127 of Civil Code. This regulation is very austere and uses the general concepts such as "reasonable degree of conditions". In these cases, there is a collision of ownership of one neighbour with the same right of another. The thesis deals with possible interferences to the law of owners, mostly owners of neighbour's immovable things and protection from these interferences. A person in whose favour the restriction is stated state may not be a direct neighbour, but it can be anyone who interferes without prejudice to its rights. It is under the jurisdiction of the court to assess individual interventions and to decide for which of them will provide...

The European standard of the protection of a child's rights
Kodatová, Zuzana ; Honusková, Věra (referee) ; Hýbnerová, Stanislava (advisor)
The European standard of protection of the rights of the child - resumé In my thesis I decided to focus on the child and his rights as how they are recognized in nowadays society crosswise the countries, mainly those of the european continent. In the first chapters I deal with the evolution of the international human rights legal instruments since the beginning of the twentieth century and I discover how the legal status of the child in the society had started to develop and how it has changed during the century stages. The child was at first only a mere object and was not entitled with possesion of the full rights, even on the contrary, it was the child who was in possession of his parents. The first international human rights documents adopted, began to guarantee the protection to the children in certain ways such as against a hard labour and they put forth the first protective rights such as the access to medical treatment and the access to education. Later on, after the second world war the major international human rights treaties were adopted and since then the child was accorded full enjoyment of his rights as a citizen. Chapter two presents the core document which concentrates upon a broad scope of the civic, political, social and economic and cultural rights of the child. It is the United Nations...

The exercise of the state's rights and duties in the airspace in the light of public international law
Kobera, Václav ; Ondřej, Jan (advisor) ; Hofmannová, Mahulena (referee)
108 THE EXERCISE OF THE STATE'S RIGHTS AND DUTIES IN THE AIRSPACE IN THE LIGHT OF PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW The space above the Earth was the lawyer's examination subject matter already in ancient times. The air which we breathe, as well as the water from the sea, was considered to be a thing common to all (res communis omnium). However, as far as the movement and life in the air were concerned (here we can use the term "airspace"), a different rule was used. This rule said "he who owns the land, owns it up to heaven" (cuius es solum, eius est usque ad coelum). This conception of the airspace still had not much in common with today's conception based on its practical use. It is obvious that society then could not have assumed reasonably (because of the level of its technical development) that mankind was going to be able to use the airspace. The origins of proper use of the airspace we can only date to when the Montgolfier brothers constructed and launched the first hot air balloon (1783 in Paris). Initially such activities were considered to be rather curiosities but they gained respect very quickly especially when used during armed conflicts in the 19th century performing espionage and bombing tasks. At the beginning of the 20th century the Wright brothers successfully tested the first heavier-than-air...

Prevention of complications in laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Griger, Dávid ; Sedláček, Pavel (advisor)
Cholecystectomy is the treatment of choice for symptomatic cholecystolithiasis , because it removes the authority which is the birthplace of biliary stones and also participates in the development of complications from gallstones result . The development of new surgical techniques - laparoscopic cholecystectomy sake of randomness has been rapid technological development of modern medicine, improvement primarily optical and instrumentation. Carl Langenbuch performed the first cholecystectomy in Berlin , Germany, , 1882. 100 years later , in 1985 , Erich Mühe performed the first laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Germany. By 1992 it was already 90 % cholecystectomies in the United States carried out laparoscopically . (1) Compared with open cholecystectomy , laparoscopic approach dramatically decreased the time hospitalization , postoperative pain and the time required for recovery. However, the rapid adoption of laparoscopic cholecystectomy as the gold standard treatment of symptomatic gallstones were associated with the incidence of perioperative complications. It was especially the increase in incidence of extrahepatic biliary tract injury . this injury and now represents the most serious complication of laparoscopic cholecystectomy . (9, 10) At the beginning of the 90s there was a huge advances in both the...

Public perception of social workers
FISCHEROVÁ, Kateřina
According to Úlehla (1999), the mission of social work is to lead a dialogue between what society wants to achieve within its norms, and what the client wishes. It is then the social worker's qualification to be able to be a mediator between the norms of the society and what the client is convinced of. Helping other people is considered to be a matter of course based above all on good upbringing and a man's feeling of being needed. However, if helping others becomes a mission in life, the person is viewed as a professional, and his or her work is aimed at improving these people's lives. Janebová and Musil (2007) claim that social workers adopt a large number of roles to achieve objectives of social justice and enhancing the quality of human life. Social work should reflect the task of mass media in the present society and should be able to employ them to achieve its objectives and to build the public image of this profession (Sveřepa, 2005). The main objective of the thesis was to find out how social workers are perceived by the public. The first chapter contains the definition of the basic terms of the subject matter. The chapter deals with a description of the social worker and the basic conditions of the social worker's performance, the ethical fundamentals and principles of the helping professions. Attention is also given to professional ethics, to the ethical code of social workers and expressing the basic attitudes of social workers to their clients. Further, it contains a definition of social services according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll. The formulation of desirable competences of social workers is described according to Zastrow and Havrdová (in Matoušek, 2003). The thesis endeavours to show the substance of differentiating between help and control in social work. The second chapter deals with explaining terms necessary in the subject of perception of social workers by the public. The chapter specifies the terms of the public, personality and perception. It includes factors that influence human perception. We describe the image of social work in selected Czech mass media. According to Sveřepa (2005), a significant role in the relationship of social work and mass media is played by the manner in which social work is presented in mass media. Social work and social workers themselves should reflect the role of mass media in the present society and should use them in achieving their objectives. The first two chapters deal with the theory of the subject. A significant support in this part is the relevant expert literature that I drew on. The thesis tries to present a more comprehensive view and a more integral idea of the subject matter in question. In the part dealing with research I set the objective of the research and formulated two hypotheses that were verified in the course of my research. The first hypothesis was: The perception of social workers is influenced by their image created by mass media. The second hypothesis: The perception of social workers is influenced by the degree of respondents' personal experience. Considering the subject chosen the research was realised by the quantitative method. The research was carried out in the town of Třeboň in the period of June and July 2014. Because of the size of the basic set it was not possible to carry out the research in the entire population of the basic set, and for that reason I chose the technique of the quota selection, which is very often employed in public opinion polls. The method used was that of questionnaire survey, with the questionnaire technique. The questionnaire contained 14 questions, and was distributed mainly personally. A total of 368 respondents participated in the survey. The outcome of the research provided answers to the two hypotheses. The first hypothesis: "The perception of social workers is influenced by their image created by mass media", was confirmed. The second hypothesis "The perception of social worker
