Monolog as an authentic confession in the context of the contemporary drama
Hýča, Martin ; ULLRICHOVÁ, Daria (advisor) ; VEDRAL, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the notion of monologue and monologicity as a peculiar means of expression of the modern drama. The concept of monologue is defined within the frame of its relation towards dialogue, in the context of theoretical thinking about drama and theater, and in terms of the application of these concepts in everyday life.It is based on the theoretical works by Jan Mukařovský and Jiří Veltruský. The concept of monologue as a lack of dialogicity is being challenged with understanding monologue as a haven of authenticity, a space for authentic testimony. Through the general reflection, thoughts are put in connection with modern drama and illustrated on examples from particular drama works. The thesis leads into a reasoning about the dialogue between the stage and the auditorium as a way-out from the monological situation on the stage.

Ryšavý, Michal ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (advisor) ; Boček, Pavel (referee) ; Ventura, Václav (referee)
Michal Ryšavý Pohřební rituály východních Slovanů mezi křesťanstvím a pohanstvím. K problematice pojetí smrti a nedokonané christianizace. Funereal rites of eastern Slavs on the turn of the Christianity and thepaganism. The issue of the conception of death and uncompleted Christianisation. Understanding of death or adoption of the idea of the death is conditio sine qua non of worthful and real life in every culture. Possibility and realization of this understanding is not only a culture phenomenon, but it is also simply an anthropological constant. To help to this grasp, it can to learn about manners, in which the people in history reacted to it. This work offers a sight on the reactions (not only old) culteres of the Slavic ethnicity to the mentioned fact, of their aproach to it, on the quest for practical, spiritual and cultural conception of it, and on the evident attempt on humanization of it. The original and basic thesis of the dissertation is supposition, that center and meaning of funereal rite don't change in the course of the time, which is constantly demonstrated from start to finish of this essay.

Ježek, Martin ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor) ; Poštulka, Filip (referee)
The work shows the Internet as natural space of our existence. By using a wide selection of source literature it strives for an unorthodox view of the digital space theme as well as the social development of past years which is closely linked to the Internet phenomenon. The work shows specific examples from professional experience to illustrate the change of understanding the Internet and its role within our society; it discusses the polarity of the virtual and the real and the most important change of the passive viewer to active user. Within the boundaries of understanding the Internet as a natural space of man - user, the work turns both to linguistic structures of metaphorical system and to conclusions of phenomenological studies.

Fridel, Václav ; Řezníček, Václav (advisor) ; Čermák, Radim (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with contemporary interpersonal communication focusing on communication on the Internet. For the correct understanding of contexts a number of terms important for this issue are defined. The first defined term is information. The definition of information also solves the problem of confusing the terms data with knowledge and vice versa. The term information is used for explaining the contemporary communication along with its basic contexts. The next defined terms are Internet and cyberspace and also the relationship between them. In the following part all of these terms are used in solving specific problems, e.g. confusion of the terms information and communication, discussion about selected means of enabling the modern indirect communication and also criticism of knowledge and education in the context of information society. The issue of disinformation is also solved. The main aim of this work is to discuss and assess the current status of the communication on the Internet, its benefits and risks and also propose solutions for improvement. This bachelor thesis uses the research method, the method of analysis, the method of description and also the method of data collection in the form of a published survey which was created specifically for this bachelor thesis and the last used method is a SWOT analysis with a proposal of assessment of the current status. An example of the final results is the fact, that the Internet has some negative impacts in the field of interpersonal communication and not only users should be aware of it.

Defence of the classical liberalism
Kostka, Ondřej ; Znoj, Milan (advisor) ; Bíba, Jan (referee)
The goal of my work is to show some differences between classical and egalitarian liberalism. Above all I want to point out, that the egalitarian liberalism changes the understanding of freedom, which is taken by the classical liberalism as an undividable connection of economic, intellectual and cultural freedom. Egalitarian liberalism abolishes this triune union and supresses the economic freedom, which is, according to my opinion, a necessary prerequisite for development of other freedoms. Considering that egalitarian liberalism gradually gains dominant role in western political and economic thought, the crippling of the economic freedom, connected with constant growth of the power of state, can destroy the liberal order. Incidental mark of this process is also the destruction of prosperity.

Gene Therapy of CML: Experimental Vaccines against Bcr-abl-transformed Cells
Lučanský, Vincent ; Vonka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Roubalová, Kateřina (referee) ; Reiniš, Milan (referee)
Chronic myeloid leukemia is malignant disease characterized by myeloproliferative clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cell. It is causally associated with the formation of the so called Philadelphia chromosome and production of its specific product, the chimeric BCR-ABL protein. The amino acid sequence of the fusion region is unique, implying that the BCR-ABL protein carries tumor specific antigen. Currently imatinib mesylate dominates the treatment of CML. It is well tolerated and when compared to the other drugs used, it prolongs the life expectancy significantly. Unfortunately, it is not capable to cure the disease. The only potentially curative approach nowadays is the bone marrow transplantation; however, it is connected with a relatively high morbidity and mortality. Moreover, it is available only to a minority of the patients. Under these circumstances the need for the development of a relatively safe and generally available treatment is understandable. Immunotherapy could be such a treatment. Several experimental vaccines based on BCR-ABL sequence were developed and tested in mice in our institute. The DNA vaccines used were carrying sequences coding for the whole BCR-ABL protein, or for 25 amino acids long junction region (these DNA sequences were fused with adjuvant genes such as...

Rozdíly mezi pohlavími jako reakce na prodejní pobídky
Solilyak, Maryna ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Zlatić, Marija (referee)
Today, more and more similar products in one product line appear on store shelves, and buying decisions have become more complicated for the consumer. Despite this, producers have a clear vision that one of the most effective tools that can be used to distinguish their products is sales promotion. Nevertheless, every customer is unique, and the responses to sales promotion tools differ as well. The reason for sales promotion campaigns success depends on the depth of understanding of consumer behaviour. In order to create a successful communication campaign, marketers should be aware in the best ways of reaching the desired consumers. In this work we will take a look at the gender differences in consumer behaviour. In particular, we would like to see different responses toward men and women toward sales promotion campaigns.

Hypermedia APIs and their use for enhancing integration of IT services
Annau, Mike ; Šebesta, Michal (advisor) ; Jelínek, Ivan (referee)
This paper's aim is to design and implement a tool transforming REST Web APIs into APIs which facilitate the integration process. The improvement of integration is mainly divided into two parts: The embedding of semantic data in order to establish a common understanding of objects, properties and relations and the possibility to navigate through the API structure in an easy and automated way. The theoretical part is dealing with the fundamentals of Web APIs, today's related trends and the API's shortages and points of improvement. Another objective of this paper is to compare current data standards of output formats for so called Hypermedia APIs, whereas the most suitable components will be chosen as the output format of this paper's resulting tool. The practical part is dealing with the design and implementation of the tool being developed. Included, there is the description of test scenarios, related benefits for the tool's users as well as a final evaluation of the resulting tool and a discussion of the tool's future potential. The benefits of the tool are evaluated in a case study.
