Giovanni Pietro Tencalla -The Church of St Anne and St James Major in Stara Voda in Libava This diploma thesis deals with the construction development of the Church of St Anne and St James Major in Stara Voda in Libava from the original project made by G. P. Tencalla to the present time. This church was built on the oldest pilgrimage place of St Anne in Bohemia under the episcopal rule of Charles II. of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, Bishop of Olomouc. It was permanently damaged during the second post-war period in the 20th century. The cause of this situation was the establishment of the Military Training Space in Libava. The church started to dilapidate and the pilgrimages were stopped. There was the damage on purpose to this church and its existence was even threatened. The effort of the public authorities to destroy it or to save it on the contrary is described in detail. The last chapters of the diploma thesis describe the restoration of the church after 1989 and include thoughts of its future use and the way of it is repaired. Significant Cultural Relics of Řepy in the Context of Regional History
Borlová, Simona ; Dvořáková, Michaela (referee) ; Županič, Jan (advisor)
The thesis named "Regional History of Řepy" is supposed to give us a clue about cultural values of municipal district Řepy. It does not really deal with the history of the district itself but its main aim is to introduce artistically valuable sights of this particular area. They all were meant to serve to God. However, the buildings were not always used only for religious purposes due to historical events and changes in the Czech history. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first one gives us a historical and social context. Then, individual sights from historical, architectural and iconographical point of view are introduced. The first mentioned monument is a church Panny Marie Vítězné na Bílé Hoře (The Church of Our Lady of Victory at the White Mountain), which history is closely connected with an important battle which took place there. The third chapter gives us details about a historical building Velká Hospoda na Bílé Hoře (A Great Pub on the White Mountain) which originally functioned as a home of Servits. In addition, the home of St. Karel Boromejský is described in the following chapter. It was a special place where lives of seniors, female prisoners and nuns were mixed. The fifth chapter leads us to the very heart of municipal district where we can find an originally romanesque Church of St....

An educational legal entity
Šípová, Adéla ; Vopálka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Millerová, Ivana (referee)
46 8. Resumé v anglické jazyce -Summary in English Educational legal entity Educational legal entity is a new type of legal entity established under Act No. 561/2004 Coll. (the "Schools Act"). There are not many of these legal entities at the moment as they represent a brand new institute, more often used by church schools to which this concept has brought many simplifications when compared to the previous regulation. Educational legal entity is specific due to the fact that it can be established only for the purpose of operation of primary business in the education sector in accordance with Section 3a of Act No. 561/2004 Coll. The issues of the educational legal entity shall be governed by the applicable provisions of the Commercial Code unless the law specifies otherwise. When compared to other legal forms, in particular the allowance organisation as the most common operator of schools, differences are traced mostly in the higher level of management autonomy. Educational legal entity may administer its own property, create monetary funds etc., which will allow for a better use of the property and a more effective long-term planning. The manager of the school is, at the same time, the authorized representative of the educational legal entity. He must comply with the conditions for practice of the position...

The process of the gradual emancipation of the Czech press in the years 1966 - 1968 based upon the Rovnost (The Equality) daily, published in Brno
Hruban, Martin ; Cebe, Jan (advisor) ; Sekera, Martin (referee)
The thesis "The Process of the Gradual Emancipation of the Czech Press in the years 1966 - 1968 based upon the Rovnost (The Equality) daily, published in Brno" deals with the analysis of the Rovnost daily of the South Moravian Regional Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party in the years 1966 - 1968. Time boundaries of the thesis issue are limited with January 1966 - January 1968. In this period preceding the short liberation of media and journalist's work from censorship and command and control in the year 1968, it is possible to trace the germs of a process culminating in the several months of the so called Prague Spring. The reestablished genre variety and the stress on the informative role of the press, the ideological weakening, the searching for one's own graphic layout, together with the permanently rising importance of economic aspects of the newspaper processing, all these factors went along with the gradual liberation of media from the schematism and their position as a mere obedient instrument and performer of the will of the ruling communist party. The probe into the contents and operation of the regional daily of the Czechoslovak Communist Party Rovnost can also comprise an interesting complement to the historical research devoted to processes preceding the Czechoslovak events in 1968 and...

Jan Antonín Reichenauer - Church music with Regards to Litanies
Semerád, Vojtěch ; Stříteská, Leona (referee) ; Hurníková, Kateřina (advisor)
8. Summary Jan Antonin Reichenauer was a prominent Prague composer in the first third of the eighteenth century. Although church music forms a fundamental part of his compositional output, he was also a renowned composer of instrumental works. Liturgical compositions, masses, motets, offertories, sacred arias, litanies and vespers, frequently inaccurately marked with the name of the composer (Reichenaur, Reichenau), were performed by church choirs both in Prague and beyond. In addition to Czech music collections and archives (the Prague Castle Archive, the Music Collection ofthe Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, compositions from monastery collections assembled in the Czech Museum of Music) many instrumental compositions have been preserved in Dresden, Wiesentheid, Darmstadt and Vratislav. Reichenauer's work was influenced by the Neopolitan School of the first half of the eighteenth century, particularly by the works ofF. Durant a D. Sarr. Very little is known about his life. I found a lot of information in the church records of christenings and deaths in Prague's Little Quarter. Evidence of his activities in Prague as a composer of instrumental and church music in the aristocratic ensemble of Count Vac1av Morzin dates from about the year 1723. Concurrently with his position as composer to the...

The escapes from the reality in Czech drama after revolution in 1989 (the motive of iracionality and madness in plays of dramatics born between 1960-1970)
Erml, Jiří ; Herman, Josef (referee) ; Just, Vladimír (advisor)
The relation between reality and different kinds of unreality is one of the most important subjects in Czech drama written after revolution in 1989. In the last seventeen years a new generation of authors - middle aged dramatics - was formed between the dramatic authors, who started to write before the revolution. Alfred Radok's Association, which organises the dramatic competition (since 1992) and rewards the best Czech and Slovak plays, helped this new generation of dramatics to become more known among people interested in drama. Among these successful "middle aged" dramatics belongs for example Markéta Bláhová, David Drábek, Jiří Pokorný, Roman Sikora, lva Volánková, Petr Zelenka oops. Of course, it is valuable to suceed in Radok's competition not only for this middle aged dramatics generation, but also for older authors who started to write before the revolution and the youngest generation of dramatics as well. My thesis deals with some of the plays written by "middle aged" authors which succeeded in Radok' s competition. David Drábek is one of these "middle aged" authors. In my theses I analyze his plays "Burning giraffes" (Hořící žirafy), "Jane from park" (Jana z parku), "Akvabely" and others. Drábek works with special kind of humour full of fantastic motives very often but at the same time his plays...

From experimental broadcasting to institution : (the organization of work in the first decade of Czechoslovak television, from the start of broadcasting in 1953 till the acceptance of the first law on Czechoslovak television in 1964)...)
Vedral, Jan ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Pittermann, Jiří (referee)
The first decade of TV in Czechoslovakia was characterised by technological difficulties, improvization and underestimation of iťs potenciál for ideological propaganda. After ten years of existence TV organization was still struggeling with the hurried start of broadcasting caused by the Communist govermenťs aspiration to catch up with well-developed western tv organizations (such as French TV or the British BBC) and to get ahead of them. This was ment to be done without any actual technical, operational and creative inspiraton from the West. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Religious Education at Primary and Secondary School. A Public Attitudes to the Question.
Ondrejková, Kateřina ; Strašíková, Blanka (referee) ; Liguš, Ján (advisor)
My diploma thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical one and the practical one. In my opinion, people perceive religion as a natural part of the general education, according to the bibliography and my own experience. Not only this. People, mainly young people, are open-minded to faith. It assumes people are able to understand these things which only religion can bring them. It pays heed to this topic in the practical part of my work. There is also an emphasis on the school teaching of religion in history in this work. It concerns the personality of teacher who teaches religion (the qualification of the teacher of religion). Furthermore, it also concerns the status of religion, the church schools and Churches in the contemporary rule of law in the Czech Republic.
