Carboxyl number as the degradation parameter of polyesters

The rigorous work connects on the thesis from years 2007-2008. It deals with interaction of hydrophilic medium with three aliphatic oligoesters and polyesters synthesized at the pharmaceutical faculty from lactic acid and glycolic acid, which were branched either with dipentaerythritol in 2 % concentration or with tripentaerythritol in 3 % or 5 % concentrations. Samples with three various weights were prepared from polyesters branched with 3 % tripentaerythritol (150 mg, 500 mg, 1250 mg). The polyesters in the weight of 1250 mg was plasticized with triethylcitrate. There was observed a process of erosion kinetics and swelling of defined matrices from above mentioned oligoesters in aqueous medium at 37 řC in period of time 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and someone of them 28 days again. There was determined the concentration of carboxylic groups generated by hydrolysis of matrices in the water soluble fraction (carboxylic number) using alkalimetric method. The novel aspect of this work consists in the study of the matrices size and its plasticization on these characteristics. Translation of Russian argot expressions into Czech (based on the translation of L. Dvořák's translation of S. Dovlatov's novel The Camp)

Tato práce je věnována specifickému jazykovému útvaru - argotu a problematice překládání argotické lexikální vrstvy mezi ruštinou a češtinou. V první části je stručně představen problém spojený s charakteristikou termínu argot a rovněž příbuzných pojmů žargon a slang. Jsou uvedeny definice různých autorů a některé slovníkové definice. Tato část je důležitá pro pochopení nejednoznačnosti ve vnímání termínu argot, a rovněž ve vnímaní charakteru tohoto jevu u různých autorů. Druhá kapitola je věnována některým aspektům historického vývoje argotu. Jsou uvedeny společné faktory mající vliv na vznik a vývoj argotu a jiných sociolektů jak v Evropě a v Čechách, tak v Rusku. Trochu podrobněji jsou popsány vývojové tendence ruských argotických útvarů před velkou říjnovou revolucí. Pro nastínění některých nejzávažnějších rozdílů v současném stavu argotických útvarů v českém a ruském prostředí podrobněji uvádím a snažím se přiblížit ty historické události v Rusku od roku 1917 až po konec komunistického období, které měly vliv i na jazykovou situaci v sovětském Rusku. Podstatné rozdíly ve vývoji argotu v obou zemích nespočívají jen v strukturních jazykových odlišnostech, ale tykají se především kulturně-sociálního kontextu a skutečných komunikačních situací. Turkish Love in Germany. Intercultural Conflicts in the Form of the Novel and Film

The topic of dissertation is the view and the understanding of term ?love? in Turkish-German coexistence. The dissertation is divided into two main sections. The first one contains general information about life of Turks in Germany. The history-overview of migration to Germany precedes this description. In the theoretical section there is also described the meaning of intercultural life, intercultural literature and intercultural movie. This section is based especially on the studied literature. The second section of dissertation includes analysis of literature work and movie from the view of characters-characteristic and their understanding of term ?love?. Also we can find here the description, how each character copes with the feeling ?to be in love?. The goal of the dissertation is to show intercultural life in the context of the basic human feeling?in the context of love.

This thesis aims to introduce a new figure in Czech prose, Josef Formanek. The focus is predominantly on the interpretation and evaluation of the novel Mluviti pravdu. Other parts of the thesis deal with a comprehensive characterisation of individual works of the author. The outcome is to depict how Josef Formanek is placed in the context of contemporary Czech literature. The aim of the thesis is to provide a monography about the new author of Czech prose ,whose monography hasn't been written up as of yet.

A Set of Worksheets for Reading Lessons for 6th Grade Pupils

The thesis presents a set of worksheets designed for the 6th grade of lower secondary school. The texts are purposely chosen to be various (e.g. extracts of novels, a short story, myth, poetry, song) and are accompanied with a set of related questions and tasks for pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading and extra activities. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the focus group and describes its specifics and their probable influence on school performance (starting lower secondary education, changes in class group, entering the period of pubescence). The theoretical part is mainly focused on the different types of activities divided according to the way of working with the text (e.g. brainstorming, condensation, own creative activity) and function (e.g. anticipation, activation of knowledge). It also deals with interaction patterns and their suitability for different types of activities. The main part of the thesis contains worksheets with shortly characterized texts and related questions and tasks supplied with methodical and didactical comments.

The individual and community in the early novels of George Eliot

In my work I focus on George Eliot's 3 early novels: Adam Bede, The Mill on the Floss and Silas Marner. I have analyzed the relations between the individual and community using the pair of concepts Gemeinschaft (community) and Gesellschaft (society). I have not used the concepts to label the stages in the evolutionary progress of mankind, but rather as labels of sets of characteristics. The Gemeinschaft set of values includes the traditional values like keeping one's word, respect to elders, deference to class, family ties etc. The Gesellschaft, on the other hand, is in my reading foremostly defined by self-centredness and egoism. The symptom of these qualities in Eliot's view was a day-dreaming lack of interest in reality. The community awakens the self-centred individuals to a sense of extramental reality and sympathizing moral breadth of vision. In spite of the cruel means this process is brought about, it ultimately makes Eliot's characters more sympathizing, wiser and more humane.

The bachelor work is focused on the analysis of morality and ethics in the novels of Agatha Christie where is appearing Hercule Poirot and a total work of this author. The first part is devoted to the life of Agatha Christie and detective Hercule Poirot. It also deals with the characteristics of several characters in the novels of this author and their behavior in aspect of ethics. In the second part the novels, development of the creation of Agatha Christie and reactions of Hercule Poirot are discussed in aspect of ethics.

Annealing of thin film polycrystalline silicon solar cells in water vapour

Samples of thin film polycrystalline silicon solar cells prepared by the Company CSG Solar AG were treated in water vapour. Appearance of treated solar cells was very similar to samples etched in a solution of acids, which is commonly used to approach the bottom part of pn junction. No significant improvement of measured open-circuit voltage Voc was observed, but the etching effect of water vapour can determine the upper limit of temperature, pressure and treatment time for water vapour passivation. Novel approach for preparation of a depth profile to approach the bottom part of pn junction is proposed.

The vision of Mongolian countryside on examples of the culturally specific expressions in the novel of C'. Lodojdamba, Tungalag Tamir

Tato práce se zabývá užitím tzv. "kulturně specifick-ých výrazů" v románě Tungalag Tamír (Průzračný Tamír) spisovatele C'adraabalyna Lodoidamby. "Kulturně specifické výrazy" jsou takové části řeči, které jsou srozumitelné výlučně pro danou kulturu. Těsně souvisejí s životem a myšlením příslušníků oné kultury a vycházejí z jejích charakteristik. Tyto výrazy vlastně označují jisté pojmy, jisté myšlenkové obrazy, které - pokud jsou správně dešifrovány - mohou nám pomoci proniknout hlouběji do dané kultury a lépe ji pochopit. V této práci se budu především zamýšlet nad mírou přeložitelnosti těchto výrazů skrze interpretaci každého daného výrazu. Vývody, které z takového zkoumání povedou, by měly být v budoucnu dobře využitelné k překladové praxi, a tím by měly pomoci ke správnějšímu zprostředkování mongolské kultury českým čtenářům. Picaresque aspects in the novel Mercy of Galdós and in The struggle for life of Baroja

Cílem naší práce bylo zkoumat pikareskní rysy dvou románů ze sklonku a přelomu 19. století. a zároveň tak upozornit na to,jaké měli jejich autoři motivy k využití pikareskní inspirace. Snažili jsme se také naznačit, jaký vliv mohl mít pikareskní román na dobu, ve které vznikl a zároveň jsme chtěli zdůraznit, že ony problémy kritizované literárními umělci už v novověku přežívaly do období, ve kterém tvořili autoři vybraných děl. Pokud chtěl Benito Pérez Galdós poukázat na bídný stav tehdejší španělské společnosti, byl Pío Baroja jeho pokračovatelem. Zmínili jsme se o tom, že každý z nich přistupoval k zobrazování reality odlišně. Jedno je však jisté, oba spisovatelé se snažili o kritiku společnosti, což se jim jejich tvorbou podařilo. Pikareskní rysy románu Milosrdenství spatřujeme především v prostředí, ve kterém se děj odehrává, ve společenské a náboženské kritice. Nicméně výraznějšího vlivu pikareskních románů si můžeme povšimnout z románu Boj o život. Protagonista se svou charakteristikou blíží píkarům typu Lazarilla de Tormes, vystřídá několik zaměstnání, přičemž ve většině případů jde o službu pánům shora. Pohybuje se v prostředí tuláků a žebráků a také mezi pokryteckou a sobeckou vyšší společností. Snaží se o společenský vzestup, což se mu na konci díla podaří, stává se úspěšným a ožení se.
