The role of a psychologist in a long-term intensive care unit
Brejlová, Dagmar ; Niederlová, Markéta (referee) ; Loneková, Katarína (referee)
The role of a psychologist in a long-term intensive care unit Dagmar Brejlová Abstract The thesis defines the role of a clinical psychologist in the long-term intensive care unit in MEDITERRA-Sedlčany, s. r. o. and reflects the present experience. In contrast to standard acute care, patients of this unit demand long-term intensive care stretching from a number of weeks to a number of years. The care focuses on physiotherapy, the treatment of associated diseases, practicing and developing new competencies and skills. The role of a psychologist in the long-term intensive care unit has not been defined yet. Thus, the theoretical part describes the structure and aim of the long-term intensive care unit, the possibilities and constraints of psychological cooperation with patients, their relatives and team members. The core of the thesis is a qualitative research based on ten case studies and a semi- structured questionnaire. The aim is to present the background of care and its critical appraisal, to describe its development and to suggest its future direction. Key words: long-term intensive care, psychological care, qualitative analysis, psychological burden, critical illness, quality of life.

People with undetermined citizenship - the case of Estonia
Brabcová, Olga ; Švec, Luboš (advisor) ; Litera, Bohuslav (referee)
Maters thesis People with undetermined citizenship the case of Estonia , describes the situation of the group of people who has no citizenship. The status of those people is described by chronological analysis of Estonian law and analysis of their socioeconomic position. They came to Estonia after the Second World War from different republics of USSR. When Estonian independence was renewed they had to adapt at new living conditions. Some of them are not successful. They did not get the automatic right to get Estonian citizenship. In Estonian law the main principal is the principal of state continuity. It means that immigrants have to naturalize. They have to pass the exam of the state language and fulfill the requirements concerning the permanent residence permit. Estonian law gives people with undetermined citizenship almost the same rights as to Estonian citizens the exceptions are active and passive right to vote to Parliament and the right to be elected to local councils. From 2006 there is even the advantage for them because they can travel to Russia without visa. They are not discriminated economically the problem is mostly in the indirect impact of division of Soviet time society. People with undetermined citizenship usually cannot speak well Estonian. It makes it difficult to find a good...

Superconductivity in disordered systems
Šopík, Břetislav ; Lipavský, Pavel (advisor) ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Munzar, Dominik (referee)
Author: Mgr. Břetislav Šopík Thesis advisor: doc. Pavel Lipavský, CSc. Ph.D. thesis Superconductivity in disordered systems Abstract We study some aspects of the superconductivity in disordered systems - namely the superconductivity in a boron-doped diamond. We also apply theoretical methods originally developed in the field of the disordered systems to the theory of superconductivity. In the case of the boron-doped diamond we focus on the question of the dependence of the critical temperature Tc on boron doping. We discuss the impact of the boron distribution correlations on the Tc as well. First, we evaluate the density of states at the Fermi energy N0 within the dynamical cluster approximation. We discuss the Tc as a function of N0 within the BCS, the McMillan and the Belitz theory. In the case of 100 samples, the simplified Belitz theory gives the best agreement with experimental data. For 111 samples the McMillan theory is sufficient. We also show that the difference of 100 and 111 samples in the N0 dependence of Tc can be explained as given by attractive correlations in the boron distribution. Applying the concept of the coherent potential approximation, we re- move a self-interaction from the Galitskii-Feynman T-matrix approxima- tion. This correction has no effect in the normal state but makes the...

Prevention of winter time sports related injuries in ski resorts
Pacíková, Andrea ; Horn, Petr (advisor)
The threat of injuries in mountains is ongoing and due to increasing numbers of tourists and sportsmen it is not going down rapidly despite improved preventive measures and highly prepared rescue teams. This paper shows Czech Republic's main skiing resorts and their injury numbers. I also talk about Mountain guides and possible preventive measures on part of the general population. With a questionnaire based survey I tried to map the level of information about the options of preventing injuries in winter sports and while in mountains. My results show that the knowledge level is high and applied in practice, but not enough. Comparison of the HS CR data and my survey data shows that preventive measures are widespread among general population, but they are not sufficient to lower injury rates.

Car in Business
Pášová, Petra ; Müllerová, Libuše (advisor) ; Vašek, Libor (referee)
The diploma thesis discusses an acquiring a car in a situation when the company has not a sufficient financial amount for its purchase. There are described the main kinds of leasing and credit at the beginning of this thesis. Afterwards is compared accounting as per the Czech regulations and IFRS and the tax impact of each of these types of accounting. The difference in accounting as per the Czech regulations and IFRS is as well illustrated on a leasing contract. The conclusion is focused on a comparison of leasing and credit using a method of net benefit of leasing and method of discounted costs.

Communication strategy of cities, municipalities and regions
Honzík, Jiří ; Khendriche Trhlínová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Olšová, Petra (referee)
The main subject of the thesis Communication strategy of cities, municipalities and regions is to introduce the theoretical concept of marketing communication of municipalities, cities and regions and to evaluate the role of communication in development of cities and regions. The first part of the thesis is aimed on the issue of impact of marketing communication on the development of municipalities, cities and regions in theory. The second part is aimed on evaluation of communication of the town of Lovosice with its target groups with an emphasis on residents. Within this part of the thesis there are analyzed particular components of the communication of the brand of the town of Lovosice through analysis of the town environment, analysis of perception of the town by residents by exploration among residents and analysis of particular communication channels used by the town. The town of Lovosice has not drawn up any strategy paper overaching the communication of the town, nor sufficiently secures the area by adequate staffing. The communication of the town is not effective - it lacks integrity and consistence. If the town intends to be more successfull in building its brand, it should develop strategic plan of the communication and sufficiently staff this area. The town should implement interactive communication with the residents based on the regular exchange of informations, and then to base the development activities the obtained informations.

The semantics of the space in Slovenian poetry in 1918-1941
Kozár, Aleš ; Jensterle Doležal, Alenka (advisor) ; Langerová, Marie (referee) ; Černá, Milada (referee)
This study focuses on Slovene literature of the period of expressionism. This period has been frequently discussed in different ways. And even more, the inquiry into this field has been also touched with ideological pressures, especially the authors preferring catholic point of view or, even though, different avant-garde movements. Theoretical approaches were often confusing as well, because of the lack of distance to the matter of study or due to mixing the terminology. Thus, many of current studies show certain kind of misuse of differences of the interpretations of the texts. Even the most up-to-date books, that examine this period of Slovene literature, do not eliminate this problem (Franc Zadravec: Slovenska književnost II.). In this study I'm comparing both the texts and authors of its time and on the other hand historical approaches to the classification of these writers. In this way I want to prove certain stereotypes in reading and classifying them. It seems that until today new theoretical approaches do not cope with the complete change of thinking this period. Slovene literature does not even have new critical issues of some of its most representative figures (e.g. Anton Podbevšek) and that is why the rethinking of it is quite complicated.

Cost-Benefit analysis of Public Projects
Paleček, Václav ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Jílek, Petr (referee)
Public projects are still subject of heated discussions, especially with the respect to their efficiency that is usually not sufficient enough. In spite of existence of many ways how to increase their efficiency, it is readily possible to identify one fundamental criterion which is high-quality information for decision-making. It is important to deliver high-quality information to those who make decision in order to reduce wastage of the public funds on not efficient public projects. All substantial information about effects incurred by project's realization can be offered by the Cost-Benefit analysis. The Cost Benefit analysis should be prepared for each significant public project to prevent from realization of ineffective ones. It is essential to process each Cost-Benefit analysis in required qualitative level for making right decision. Purpose of this thesis is appraisal of usefulness of the Cost-Benefit analysis for specific purposes of the public sector and assessment of indexes used in the Analysis. In the thesis will be introduced public projects, related public sector and evaluation of public projects. Subsequently, the Cost-Benefit analysis itself will be presented as well as steps for processing high-quality Cost-Benefit analysis. The emphasis will be focused at discount rate and its determination, since I consider it as the critical issue of the Cost-Benefit analysis. A practical example of the Cost-Benefit analysis will be presented at the end of this thesis.

Unprofessional film-making and copyright law
Vitinger, Aleš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
Main goal of this work was to map the area of copyright law connected with nonprofessional film-making. Due to fast expansion of the internet and digital media, the number of non-professional film-makers is increasing rapidly. And copyright law is not able to react on this change. Temporary Czech copyright law is strongly developed, with strong position of colective administrators of copyrights. For non-professional use is this situation quite unsuitable. Copyright laws are too strict and complicated and collective administrators are focused on professional use. The result is massive infringement of copyright laws. One of the answers is the Creative Commons iniciative, which proposed few licenses, based od copyright laws. These licenses can be published along with the artwork to encourage potential user to use the work without asking permission. Author can choose what rights would be limited, for example commercial use, or making derivative works. This bachelors work proves that Creative Commons licenses are good choice for non-professional film-maker. They bring simplicity and null costs, in comparison with complicated and expensive licensing from collectively administrated rights.

Daily test of the AXIS scintigraphic camera quality in the Nuclear Medicine Department in Pribram as an indicator of the apparatus stability for the last 5 years
HEFKA, Pavel
Daily test of the AXIS scintigraphic camera quality in the Nuclear Medicine Department in Pribram as an indicator of the apparatus stability for the last 5 years This Thesis is devoted to the choice of the most suitable routine check of the AXIS scintigraphic camera in the Nuclear Medicine Department in Pribram. In my Thesis I focused on the analysis of the recommended procedures and choice of the method, which during the routine operation of nuclear medicine will sufficiently prove the quality of the preparation of the apparatus for the examination and is not very time-consuming. The result of such an optimization analysis is the check procedure of the internal image homogeneity, which fully respects SÚJB recommendations and procedures recommended by the producer of the AXIS scintigraphic camera. Performance of the chosen method is described in detail and the method of the recording, acquisition and evaluation of the acquired data is presented. Checking of the AXIS apparatus in the described way has been performed in the Nuclear Medicine Department in Pribram for a long time. It enabled me to make an analysis of the long-term stability of the apparatus for the last 5 years. Acquired results have been compared with information given by the producer and results of the similar device in the Czech Republic. For clarity purposes the presentation of the recorded data and acquired results is arranged in tables and graphs. Collected data confirmed that the homogeneity values measured by means of the point source correspond well to the data stated for this apparatus by the producer. This has also confirmed my hypothesis on the correct choice of the method for testing the homogeneity by means of the point source. Therefore it is possible to state that the AXIS gamma camera with the supplement for the detection of positron emitters is stable and it is possible to apply it in the routine clinical operation even after 10 years of use provided that the good service care is ensured.
