Falls of the patients with the extra pyramidal system disability
Kunzová, Karolina ; Čakrt, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zárubová, Kateřina (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Fal1s of the patients with the extrapyramidal system disability" deals with the postural stability problems in relation to the Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases. lt comprises information about clinical examination oť the postural stability, motor complications of illness and about falls. The aim is to describe clinical examination of the postural stability, causes and consequences of ťalls, and to introduce brief1y the possibilities of rehabilitative care. The thcsis is based on literature research of domestic and foreign sources, which are mentioned in the list of references, Patient therapy is not included in this paper. Observation of the blood supply of transferrd free flaps using fluorescent angiography and indocyanine green dye
Gaalová, Romana ; Kufa, Roman (advisor)
The issue of closure of wounds dealt medicine since time immemorial. It has evolved A number of methods and procedures for the closure of wounds and defects , beginning with direct suture through skin grafts to cover stopkovanými lobes. The emergence of microsurgery allow free tissue transfer units to a disconnected vascular stem. Microsurgical operations have passed since its inception, development and nowadays we are Thanks microsurgery able to transmit different types of tissue components from skin lobes through muscle and bone flaps to the actual free transfer fingers. [12] Thus, transferred tissue can then be used in a remote location of the body to close the defect or to reconstruct parts of the body where the stem connects to the income lobe blood vessels and blood transferred tissue begins to flow . Free transfer lobes significantly when applied coverage of defects in the distal third of the leg , where the lack of tissue for use local flaps and free transfer in these cases often appear as a single option for limb salvage . Energetic expenditure of walking with prosthesis and wheelchair ride by people with bilateral amputation.
Kubátová, Bohuslava ; Kálal, Jan (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
~ . Autors fi.rst name and surename: Bohuslava KubátoYá Title of the thesis: Possibilities of resocialisation for people with bilateral amputation. Department: TVPVZP Supervisor: Doc. MUDr. Jan Kálal CSc. The year of presentation: 2008 Abstract: The target of the work is a presentation of comprehensive look at the rehabilitation after bilateral amputation. The walking with prosthesis by people with bilateral amputation is very difficult. The inquiry proved that in given collection is 48% able to effective locomotion but only for short distance. In connection with it the work pursues with status ofbilateral amputated persons and with the options oftheir resocialisation. It works by the methods of questionnaire and their evaluation. The hypothesis that the bilateral amputated person is under certain condition able to partial resocialize is in the end ofthe work acknowledged. Keywords: Bilateral amputation, rehabilitation, artificiallimb, prosthesis, resocialisation

Competitive Cycling and Its Influence on the Duality of Disabled People's Lives

Název práce: Výkonnostní cyklistikaa její vliv na kvalitu života tělesně postižených . Title: Competitive Cycling and Its lnfluence on the Duality ofDisabled People's Lifes. Cil práce: 1. Cílem práce je přiblížit problematiku a rozdíly tělesně postižených cyklistů. 2.

Swimming technique of physicaly disabled swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation
Čuříková, Lada ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Headline: Swimming technique of physically disabled swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation Aim of the Thesis: The aim of this thesis is to describe the intra-individual differences in the swimming technique of unilateral above-knee amputees by measuring the EMG of selected muscle groups. Methods: Surface EMG measurement in combination with using synchronized video recordings. Results: Research of the observed swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation showed that: when swimming the front crawl, the swimmers unequally balance the intense kick of right and left leg mainly using the abdominal muscles and subsequently also in the electric potential of different sizes in other observed muscles; when swimming the backstroke, the upper body muscles on the side of amputated limb do not show any different activity than the muscles of the opposite side; when swimming the breaststroke, the main propulsion muscle for locomotion through the shoulder girdle - m. latissimus dorsi is activated for a longer period of time on the side of amputated limb; thereby, electrical activity of the selected muscles is not symmetrical in the timeline. Key words: swimming step, swimming, above-knee amputation, electromyography, muscle activity, handicap, EMG.

Postural stability in subjects with anterior cruciate ligament injury
Kolář, Miroslav ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
6 Abstract Title: Postural stability in subjects with anterior cruciate ligament injury. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to find out if the postural stability is differed in subjects with anterior cruciate ligament injury and in the control group after the "4 steps - one leg stance" test had been performed. Methods: This study compared a group with anterior cruciate ligament injury and a control group on the basis of the "4 steps - one leg stance" test. Methods of comparison and analysis were used. Results: The test and all measurements revealed differences in postural stability between subjects with anterior cruciate ligament injury and the control group while they were standing both on operated and non-operated limb. There were also differences in postural stability concerning the one leg stance on the operated and the non-operated limb. Keywords: postural stability, injury, ACL, posturomed

Human biological variation in the light of certain morphological and molecular biological traits.
Kujanová, Martina ; Černý, Viktor (advisor) ; Sládek, Vladimír (referee) ; Munclinger, Pavel (referee)
This doctoral thesis is submitted in the form of science publications with impact factor and presents human biological variation in two different ways. The first part is the study of phenotype variation focused on the degree of limb bones bilateral asymmetry. Besides genetic and hormonal factors asymmetry may develop as a response to biomechanical and to environmental factors influencing the individual/population. Therefore this trait can be considered as a measure of person's living conditions, health or environmental stress of different origin or exa- mine the effects of behavioral distinctions as sexual division of labor and diffe- rences in subsistence strategy. The submitted publication (Kujanová et al., 2008) is based on samples of two diachronic populations (medieval and recent) from Bohe- mia with different expected levels of health/environmental stress. The study is fo- cused especially on these aspects that may be indicative of various stresses, such as malnutrition or other nonspecific factors influencing health of persons living in the studied populations. According to the results we propose that bilateral asymmetry observed in the diachronic populations showed some differences supporting the theory that the medieval population was not subjected to as highly stressful condi- tions as the...
