Competition and the national champions in globalization primarily in terms of the situation in the Czech Republic

This thesis defines and analyzes the existing rules of procedure and legislation to protect competition in the principle of de lege lata in the Czech Republic with regard to the operation of national champions and marginally in terms of policy, national champions in Europe, analyze the status of the principle of national champions and classified in the context of existing conditions with global effects in the field, arguments concerning the existence and status of national champions in the competition (de lege lata versus de lege ferenda) in terms of various aspects of their responsibilities. With regard to the objective of work was dealing with the issue of regulation of irregular acquisition of electric power in the context of the possible advantage of champion and the emergence of any injury to other competitors or consumers as a result of this advantage. The aim of this work is to describe the regulation of de lege lata in the Czech Republic on irregular acquisition of electric power and showing a solution and to answer the question of whether the change de lege ferenda may remove any harm other competitors or consumers.

Involuntary admission to psychiatry departments

The translated thesis deals with the topic of admission to psychiatry departments without the patient consent, which is a so called involuntary admission and involuntary treatment. The teoretical part mentions briefly how social and ethic norms leading to the creation and respecting patient rights have been developing. Basic documents establishing patient rights are indicated, including the right to accept or refuse treatment. Next, there is a description of the history of psychiatry hospitalization without the patient consent and the development of legal rules in the field of involuntary hospitalization. The following chapters are concerned with the incidence of involuntary admission cases. Descriptions of elementary terms referring to the informed consent and hospitalization without patient consent can be found as well. The applied part is focused on a more delailed analysis of some rules of law. It mainly compares Convention on Biomedicine with existing national legislation and deals with the application of the regulations resulting from the Convention on Biomedicine into routine. A topic related to admission and treatment without the patient consent is the issue of informed agreement and competence to legal acts. ln the first half of the seventeenth century, Japan, hitherto a powerful and absolutely not a backward nation, had been forced by sh6gun's regulations into unnecessary isolation, which let her rnilitary power dirninish and her people imprisoned in narrow area of its home islands. AU opportunities for foreign expansion were rnissed; main reasons were ridicuolous fear of the Tokugawa bakufu from Christianity, which were curiously not settled by extinction of main Christian bases in the Far East, and its selfish resolution not to aUow changes in the balance of power among the bakufu and powerful daimj6 t6zama from remote southwest regions of Japan. At the beginning of the second half of the XIX. century, Japan was a poor and underdeveloped country, almost entirely secluded from the outside world. Once great empire was an easy victim of "foreign barbarians", who handily forced signing of unequal treaties. His Imperial Majesty thus reassumed a reign over a weak country which may be justly described as a serni-colony of foreign intruders. The role of credit rating agencies in 2008/2009 global financial crisis

This bachelor thesis aims at the role of rating agencies in the pending economic turmoil. It explains main functions of credit rating agencies (CRAs) with the relation to the 2008/2009 global financial crisis. Furthermore, it describes the proposals and solutions to the current situation on financial markets adopted by regulatory institution in the European Union and the United States, as well as the responses of CRAs on the proposed and adopted regulation. In particular, the work suggests the level of coverage of current amendments in order to prevent such failure in the future. Moreover, the thesis discusses possible solutions and improvements of the CRA business model.

Upgrading of Uničov Railway Station

This thesis focuses on the reconstruction design of Uničov railway station. The aim was to create a solution which would satisfy both traffic and passenger requirements. The design puts an emphasis on a compliance with applicable laws and standards, simplicity and usefulness. New constructions were designed for maximum safety. Railway station accessibility for disabled persons played an important role in the design. In comparison with the original state, the permissible line speed was increased and new platforms and drainage system were designed.

Management of Hairdresser´s Salon

Diploma thesis develops subject of operation of hairdresser’s saloon in Brno. It introduces analysis of saloon management and evaluation of reasons why saloon’s principal strategic objectives defined by owner before reconstruction in 2007 are not being fulfilled. Simultaneously, it suggests modifications and changes that lead to more effective saloon management, from both management and strategic point of view. Consequently, it brings more stable clients and positive financial effect. Proposal part covers specific potentialities how to define saloon’s objectives, communicate them toward employees and how to communicate with customers. Necessity of communication and pro-active approach result from other analyses as well.

Legislation on distribution of retail financial products in the Czech republic

The thesis analyses legal environment of the financial services market in relation with business practice of retail financial products distribution in Czech republic. It describes current legislation and instruments of regulation of the distributional activities both on national and supra-national (european) level. Furthermore, it introduces the development of regulation in light of identified weaknesses of legislation, leading to specific recommendations and measures ensuring vast consumer protection and fixing the level-playing-field in distribution throughout various sectors of financial markets and their layovers. The conclusions are based on author´s theoretical studies of economic and legal context and private business practice.
