Object of the Thesis is mixed partnership of Gipsy and Czech and aim is to show how mixed partnership in specific definition as gipsy-czech partnership experienced by persons involved. How and whether if is mixed partnership felt by persons involved and what consequences brings this definition of marriage for them, how are accepted by sourroundings, their children's difficulties and different way of life. Theorethical part deals with mixed marriage in modern society, history, culture and customs of Gipsies. Practical part is dedicated to research itself.

Political parties as one of the democracy-guarantees in the Federal Republic of Germany

This thesis aims to describe the consolidation process of democracy in West Germany by the example of the political parties. Firstly, it analyses historical reasons for the negative approach towards the parties in the German area and compares how two different law- and constitutional systems, the Weimar Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, were dealing with the political parties. The main focus is put on the parties' role in the current German society and on the parties' influence on the democracy-durability in Germany. Special attention is paid to two aspects - financing of the parties and political education. Fertility patterns and trends in post-socialist countries contrasted with Sweden and the United States of America

The thesis addresses fertility patterns and trends in post-socialist countries of the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Latvia and western countries of Sweden and the United States of America during 1999 - 2007 period. Differentials in shifts in fertility behavior including changes in family formation, fertility timing and extramarital childbearing coming from the baby-boom era in western countries and the collapse of state socialist regime in post-socialist countries are described in the thesis. The tendency in changing attitudes to childbearing and the role of the children in the family are obviously seen. After examining the age profile in fertility development for selected countries the role of women according to age group in overall fertility is explained. Share of live births borne outside of marriage in western countries has increased over the past decades. While the vast changes in the proportion of extramarital live births in post-socialist countries observed since entering to the market economy of state management. Capital jurisdiction, criminality and everyday life on domain of Náchod and in king's town Nymburk between the years 1513-1618 In this diploma paper I dealt with criminality and everyday life on the early modern domain of Náchod and in the king's town Nymburk between the years 1513-1620. Firstly I tried to describe how the town councils worked and with which central regulations they operated. Secondly I did the statistic quatification of all criminal delicts which are mentioned in "pitch" or "black" books of Náchod and Nymburk and other materials of court provenance. Then I compared court causes from other "pitch"/ "black" books which were published in the past with material from Náchod's and Nymburk's archive. I managed to use modern historical methods such as microhistory and historical anthropology to show which postures took early modern society to different types of criminal delicts or problematic phenomenona like sexual life before marriage, suicide, rape or witchcraft. In connection with this I tried to clear up why were criminal delicts like infanticide or witchcraft punished with such a brutal death penalty. Female identity in history and currently in Czech Republic

This thesis describes the development status of women in society in a historical context from the Middle Ages until the 20th century. It acquaints us with the rights to which women in the 19th and 20th centuries were acquired. This work also deals with current issues of women in entering the labor market, and describes the forms of discrimination that women face. The theoretical part is also elaborated the topic of how perceptions of mass media on gender issues. The practical part deals with public opinion on gender issues and compares the results of data collected from the People newspaper in 2005 and 2012. Applying this methodological tool was a questionnaire and content analysis.

Woman of the 1st half of 19th century

The graduation thesis analyses the status of woman since her birth to adult age in the 1st half of 19th century. In the beginning it is dealt with facts of European history. Further it focuses on woman, her childhood, adolescence and her adult age. The subject of the thesis is to show how the society behaved to a girl and a woman in the some specific social caste, how they thought of her, what type of rights, responsibilities and possibilities for education she had. The chosen areas are: the pedagogy history, the children education, the girl education and pedagogy, the family environment, the sociability, the marriage and maternity. The thesis subsequently responds how hardly and slowly the woman obtained her rights in the private also in the public life.

Gender differences according to demographic indicators in the Czech Republic

Gender statistics constitute the main tool, which enables the exploration of differences between males and females in different areas, not only demographic, economic and social. On a daily basis, we encounter statistical indicators which show different results for males and females. In the introduction of this bachelor thesis, basic terms relating to gender are defined. It focuses mainly on the most used terminology in the field of gender issues, which has been substantially influenced by the modern society. After collecting necessary data from the Czech Statistical Office and other sources open to public, the second part of the thesis describes selected demographic indicators by gender. This is done firstly for the Czech Republic as a whole and then at the level of NUTS 3 regions. In the third part, gender differences and relations between studied indicators are expressed with the aid of various graphs and several analyses of selected demographic indicators. It captures especially the diverse age and education structure, employment rate etc. The fourth, final, part focuses on organizations within the Czech Republic, which actively pursue gender issues.

The dissertation The Media Image of Joseph Goebbels in the Czech press between 1933 and 1945 deals with the way the personality of Joseph Goebbels is constructed in media contents. The text introduces basic concepts of media studies such as ideology, hegemony, discourse, stereotypization and power. The theme of media image construction is treated with the emphasis on historical context and the actual distribution of political power in concrete periods of democratic and totalitarian society, that had evident consequences on media functioning. Historical context is essential for the interpretation and understanding of construction of Joseph Goebbels's image and its development. The text reveals the structure of media image of Joseph Goebbels as a complex constructed between 1933 and 1945 in the Czech press and then shows the differences in Joseph Goebbels's personality points of view of daily journals in selected periods.

Two generations of Mašín family

This bachelor thesis focuses on two generations of Mašín family, their resistance activities and the way they are seen in society. The first chapter focuses on the activity of Josef Mašín senior during First and Second World War. The second chapter analyses the most controversial operations of Mašín brothers and their resistance group and their escape to West Germany that followed. Last chapter then analyses how the view of the activity of brothers and their father has evolve in time and how differently they are perceived by Czech society and by political and scientific community. The hypothesis is that communist past and Mašín brothers especially are still used for political aims.

Male and Female Identity in Contemporary Society Focusing on the Labor Market

The aim of the master's thesis is to describe male and female identity in today's society. The first chapter includes basic expressions connected with key terms gender and gender stereotypes. This thesis is focusing on equality of genders and the enshrinement of equality rights in law. This thesis also includes the analysis of the current status of women in the European Union based on data from the Eurobarometer and the Czech Statistical Office survey. The aim of the graduation thesis is to analyse the perception of men and women in today's society, to determine how strongly are stereotypical perceptions rooted in society, how is perceived the equality of men and women in labour market and how opinions on this issue differ among Czech Republic citizens and among European Union citizens.
