Free participation as the ethos of civil society development

In the theoretical part of the thesis will be treated the diversification of the private and the public sphere. Borderline between the private and public sphere is the pivot element at enclosing of the market of ideas' limits from the side of society. The market of ideas is the mechanism of mutual competition of ideas and thoughts in the public sphere. The significant barrier between the private and the public sphere and historically persisting stigmatization of the public sphere in the attitudes of citizens of the post communistic Czech Republic, weak the interest of citizens to enter into this market. The very citizens are potential that nourishes the market of ideas and thoughts from the side of society. The second element, which creates the theoretical frame of the thesis, are concepts of civil society and political culture, as two concepts of the public sphere. Civil society will be presented from various corners, as it is analysed in the theoretical literature. From the historical perspective will be then described formation of civil society on the territory of present Czech Republic together with the explication of its relation to the state system. In this description the emphasis is placed on the period of supremacy of the communist regime, whereas communist checkups executed in the 1970s...

The competitiveness of countries and regional integrations is nowadays an idea that may be hard to define. Many times we don't know what lies behind the idea of competitiveness. Bachelor thesis tries to characterize European competitiveness, identify the processes that lead to it's increase and tries to connect the idea of competitiveness with the macroeconomical layer. The thesis identifies parameters that influence competitiveness and compares them with other countries. In the end it evaluates in what expense was the enhancing of competitiveness successful and tries to introduce new trends for the European competitiveness.

Analysis of supply of travel agency Fischer

The thesis is focused on an analysis of supply of travel agency Fischer. The opening part is based on theoretical conception, where the most important basic terms are defined. It includes the definitions of basic terms from the tourism industry including travel agency, tourist, holiday package, the term "supply of tourism" and "supply of travel agency". The main part includes the supply analysis which contains the destinations, forms of transport, food and beverage services and also the specific services supply typical especially for travel agency Fischer. In the last part, the whole supply of the travel agency is evaluated.

This thesis reflects the first cross-border Lower Austrian Provincial Exhibition 2009: Czech Republic. Austria. Divided - Separated - United. This thesis deals with a deep context of historical, cultural, economic and demographical topics, which this unique exhibition presenting mutual Czech-Austrian history pointed out. At the same time, the thesis focuses on analysing the success of this across-the-border cooperation project between the Czech Republic and Austria and its benefits for individual regions in the areas of infrastructure development and travelling.

Czech travel agencies' supply of animation services for families with children

The dissertation has for its goal to analyse the supply of animation services by selected travel agencies for a families-with-children segment of customers in the Czech Republic. Based on a comparison of the supply together with a research into the actual situation on the side of the demand, a new competitive product of an animation service devised by the author is introduced. The theoretical part of the dissertation defines major terms in the realm of tourism and animation services. Throughout the empirical chapters, the author first analyses the market situation from the supply perspective. Second, using a method of a questionnaire survey, the market situation from the demand perspective is investigated. The last chapter deals with a creation of a new competitive product of animation services for families with children, implementing the findings from previous chapters.

Spain as a final tourist destination

Title: Spain as a final tourist destination Objective of the thesis: The goal of this thesis is to introduce Spain as a tourist destination for Czech tourists, analyze offers of sight - seeing and recreational tours of Czech tour operators and create an own attractive and competitive proposal. Methods: Descriptive, comparative and SWOT analysis techniques were used in this paper. Results: The results show a great potential of Spain as a tourist destination. The main Spanish tourist regions are Catalonia, Valencia and Andalusia, where also most of the offered tours are destined. The proposal of sight - seeing tour offers the unique combination of sight - seeing and the leisure time at the seaside. The final price of the tour is competitive and the tour could be listed in the offerings ofthe Czech tour operators. Keywords: Spain, tourism, tour operator, touristic resorts, package tour

Evaluation of the quality of life in the Czech Republik

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of present state of the quality of life in regions in the Czech Republic. The comparison of regions is based on statistically monitored quantitative data -- objective indicators of the quality of life. In chosen Vysočina region aditionally qualitative indicators that include subjective evaluation of conditions of life in the region were monitored. First two chapters deal with the theory of quality of life and the methods of the measurement. The third part of the thesis focuses on the practical analyses . The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate objective conditions of the quality of life using total hierarchical index in all regions, demonstrate regional differences and analyze subjective quality of life in Vysočina region. The analysis of statistical data, scholarly issues and moreover empirical research were used to achieve the aim.

Regional culture and Curricular Documents as a tool of its mediation and reproduction

This diploma thesis explores regional culture curricular documents as tools of its mediation and reproduction of regional culture. The theoretical part starts with definition of key words related to culture, local and regional culture. Next theoretical part (chapter 3) describes curricular documents, which are products of new educational reform, in context of regional culture. Firstly, in practical part, I characterize two selected regions - Prague 1O and Uherskobrodsko region and their typical elements of culture. Chapter 5 summarizes results of questionnaire survey, which is focused on finding how students of elementary and grammar schools are informed about culture in their regions and as well as their approach to the local culture and role of schools in cultural education. The final part of this diploma thesis is devoted to my project proposal that should lead students to closer relationship with cultural and historical heritage in their regions, showed on the example of Uherskobrodsko region.
