I will try to explain the impact of migration, advantages or disadvantages and possible solution of this issue. Finally, I refer to the issue of migration in terms of political and economic interest of migrants, such as economic instability and change of living standards, rapid demographic growth, war, religious and ethnic conflicts and environmental degradation.

Language and etnicity in the Balkans and in Britain
Blažek, Jan ; Uherek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Soukup, Martin (referee) ; Brouček, Stanislav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of ethnic consciousness in the territories of the Balkans and of Great Britain by focusing on the tendencies towards ethnical inclusion (crossing of ethnical boundaries) and ethnical exclusion (strengthening of the above mentioned). Inspired by B. Anderson's definition of nation (nation = imagined community), the author has chosen the languages of the investigated areas as the actual subject of his research. In three chapters he has studied first the structural and lexicological aspect of the language, then the terminological one (study of ethnonyms) and finally the textual one (study of national myths and the language used to their description). The conclusion of the research described above clearly shows, that whereas English is being perceived as a highly inclusive language (also due to its grammatical straightforwardness and lexicological richness) by speakers of other native languages in Britain (be it the autochthon minorities or migrants), in the Balkans, on the other hand, languages are being perceived as an exclusive propriety of the given ethnic group, which may even lead to artificial differences being introduced in them. The approach prevailing in Great Britain is clearly the one fostering better inter-ethnic cohabitation....

Fare-Free Public Transport policy introduction in selected European states and municipalities in first two decades of 21st century
Čarek, Sebastián ; Kolman, Ondřej (advisor) ; Chmelová, Pavla (referee)
This thesis was written to create a missing complex study about Fare-Free Public Transport (FFPT) policy and to confirm hypothesis that abolition of fares are not generally accompanied by passengers increasing demand. Theoretical part describes public transport potential substitutes, for example competition in problematic individual car transport. In other chapters thesis summarises present known knowledges of public transport demand, financing by public service contracts and encapsulates experiences with Fare-Free Public Transport in Europe. Practical part includes four case studies: Tallinn, Frýdek-Místek, railway passenger transport in Slovakia and Prague Integrated Transport (PID). Analysis of PID and Tallinn confirmed that fare decrease in case of low fares already before act, does not entice additional passengers, because the demand is highly inelastic. But the important issue is that introducing of FFPT is connected with lots of side effects. Extraordinary space in thesis has policy of Free Trains in Slovakia, that caused many side effects that must have been solved in process to not damage paying passengers. Policy had important effect on public transport market in Slovakia, when ZSSK was pressed to depreciate own InterCity trains operated for own commercial risk and negative effect was also observed on private long-distance bus transport and on budgets of higher-level territorial administrative units.

Problems of educational and psychological advice on the Department of Paediatric Haemato-Oncology, University Hospital Motol

The Kingdom of Bohemia and the dynasty of Luxembourg in the French chronicles of the 14th century
Lošťáková, Kateřina ; Hrdina, Jan (referee) ; Nejedlý, Martin (advisor)
Since the beginning of the fourteenth century the Czech kings and their kingdom started to make significant appearance in the French chronicles. The sudden interest of contemporary historians was sparked mainly by the ascension of the Luxembourgian dynasty to the Czech throne in 1310. The relations that existed for a long time between France and Luxembourg were thus transfered to Bohemia, who se young king John the Blind soon became a French ally in the ongoing conflict with England. To the history of the Warfare, which is traditionally called the Hundred Years War, are devoted also the works of two of the most important late-medieval writers, Jean le Bel of Liege and Jean Froissart of Valenciennes. Modem historians have had for a long time a tendency to dismiss their chronic1es (Froissart' s in particular) as historically inaccurate and thus unreliable sources. But such a refusal implies a serious misunderstanding of both authors' intention, for their main goal was not to precisely narrate the facts but rather to adjust them to better suit their idealised image of social order. Bearing that in mind we can clearly see that the presence of Czech kings in Froissart's and le Bel's chronicles does not generally reflect their real deeds, but rather the symbo1ic part they play to enhance the glory of the French...

The National Diversity and Modern National Conflicts in the New United Europe
MERTLÍK, Lukáš
Main contents of my diploma is a racial strukcture of countries of the European Union and national conflicts concern on european nationals and nationalities. After specification of territories the treatise tries to define basic terminological notions of two views. Firstly it refers to substabtial difference from using of statistic notions having principle influence to quantification of minorities. Second view defines conceptions: nation and nationality of politic-geographical point of view. The sunbstantial space is dedicated to historic-geographical analysis of present national folder of the EU with view of chosen events of 20th century. In the next charters I specify minorities-numbers and location, too. The last part deals with national conflicts where I point to typologies and point out causes of national competition inside the EU. For example it is the conflict Estonia-Russian tension. I point to its causes, development and suggest methods of solution to reduction of racial situation at the eastern border of Union.
