Based on postprocesualism theories, this master's thesis provides data for setting up the Centre of Experimental Archaeology in Únětice near Prague, designed to pursue an experimental research of Unetice culture agriculture settlement. This project aims to provide space for carrying out archaelogical experiments on the one hand, and to present the results of archaelogical research to public in an innovative way on the other. In addition, it might play an important role in the touristic development of the village.

Education for Citizenship and Environmental Education in the Secondary and High School

This diploma thesis deals with the environmental education of young people and it highlights its importance for the transfer towards the sustainable society. It emphasizes the need to get into the core of the problem, which is the emotional alienation of present-day people from the nature and environment. In the theoretical part it proves the existence of many various attitudes towards the world and the possibility of environmental education to bring students to those less self-centred and more considerate. It then presents the basis of environmental education, its development and mainly its trends reflecting today's need to focus on environmental sensitivity and personal responsibility of each individual. It shows that both areas are possible to cultivate in lessons of civics and social sciences, which provide significant space for the integration of environmental education. These subjects stress the need to educate students in the way which would help them to acquire skills of both responsible citizens of the society and considerate inhabitants of this beautiful planet. The treatment for the dyslipidaemia and the hyperlipoproteinemia is an apparent part of the primary as well as the secondary methods of prevention of the disease. A major break through in treatment was a discovery of the hypolipidemia group called statins fifteen years ago. The potential of statins is increasing due to continual discoveries of the extra-lipid effects which positively influence the yearly consummation of this substance. The research involves the comparison of the effects of the original medicament Zocor distributed by Merc & Co and the generic medicament Simgal produced by IVAX. The purpose of this work was to compare not only the efficiency of two medicaments but also their effectiveness on the level of cholesterol in the plasma. The Holy Journey from Prague Cathedral to Stara Boleslav (Via Sancta)

The aim of this work is to reconstruct and interpret the real space of the symbolic space of the Czech country, and within it to monitor the conditions of a development the Holy Journey (Via Sancta) from the Prague Cathedral in to Stara Boleslav in the background of the cult of St. Wenceslas with the help of contemporary visual sources (architecture, sculptures and paintings), including sub-urban scene. The development of symbolic spatial linkages between the Prague Cathedral and Stara Boleslav we observe in the broader context of the Christian world since the beginning of the Czech statehood (10th century) until the process has been visually completed (1670-80) through a series of chapels (Via Sancta) between Prague and Stara Boleslav.

Information design in public transit systems

The doctoral thesis Information design in public transit systems focuses on information used for orientation and navigation in public spaces. Information is discussed in relations to urban design, architecture and cognition and over 100 examples are presented with a special attention to transportation systems. The information design tenets are provided and applied to one of the Prague subway stations. Press that serves the public? Survey of journals published by Prague's municipalities

This master thesis deals with the phenomenon of journals published by local municipalities, defined in a recent amendment to the Press Act in the legal order of the Czech Republic as "journals of territorial administrative units". According to the press law the purpose of these journals is to deliver information about the self- governing unit while providing adequate space for presenting opinions and views of all ideological spectrum of the local council. These journals were recently criticized for being abused by the ruling political representation and being misused as a form of political PR rather than an independent news platform. My research is focused on their gradual professionalization that was recently encouraged by the changes in the Czech law. The research is based on a survey of editors of these journals. In the survey I investigated the background of the content production of these journals, various aspects of their organization, details about staff editors and their reflection on the topic, as well as control mechanisms that are set to ensure the statutory requirements of objectivity and impartiality. Cíl práce: Sportovní a rekreační možnosti v oblasti Kokořínska Sports and recreative possibilities in Kokořín area Seznámit se s problematikou cestovního ruchu, charakterizovat vymezený region, představit jeho sportovní a rekreační možnosti, pokusit se vlastními nápady vylepšit stávající situaci a především zaujmout potenciální návštěvníky této oblasti. Dále navrhnout víkendový program pro tři rozdílné sociální skupiny. Metoda: V největším rozsahu byla použita metoda popisné analýzy objevených dokumentů a dále pak dotazování, především formou osobních neformálních rozhovorů, ale také dotazování elektronické.Využit byl i dotazník a především pak práce s internetem. Výsledky: Mohou pomoci k lepší propagaci regionu a nabízejí možnost seznámit se s touto oblastí nejen pro turisty a návštěvníky. Evaluation of economic efficiency of multifunctional building

This diploma thesis deals with analysis of multifunctional building efficiency investment. The theoretical part describes investments and investment space, building life cycle, financing options and evaluation methods of efficiency investment. The practical part is focused on specific contract efficiency realized in Prague. Cash flow is created and payback time is counted for the individual scenarios. Net present value and internal rate of return serve as alternative indicators of efficiency investment.

The aim of this work is to make summary of pharmaceutics used in therapy with concentrating on its mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, side effects and drug interactions. Nowadays antacids, anticholinergics and cytoprotectives are in therapy of peptic ulcers nearly obplete, because of more effective antisecretorics mainly inhibitors of proton pump. Inhibitors of proton pump are one component of eradication therapy for peptic ulcer disease in Helicobacter pylori positive patiens. The work contains summary of aggresive and protective factors, which interact with a damage of stomach and duodenal mucosa. More attention is given to aggresive factors Helicobacter pylori and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Important chapter is also "Diagnosis" and "Epidemiology".
