Holubec, Stanislav ; Kárník, Zdenek (advisor) ; Moravcová, Mirjam (referee) ; Měchýř, Jan (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to outline the social reality and the everyday life of Prague working class between the two world wars. Prague, which was at that time changing into a modern city with growing population, was also the city with the largest number of workers in Czechoslovakia. We have especially focused on working-class families, health and sexual issues, living conditions, cultural life, political attitudes and education. In the thesis, archive sources of the period have been used, namely those of organizations dealing with workers or workers' own organizations like political parties, labour unions or interest groups. Another source of data is a qualitative sociological research of witnesses. The analysis of statistical data, periodicals of that time and other literature have also been employed. We have attempted to show the Prague working class with its rich diversity, as a very heterogenous group merging with other social classes. Apart from social differences, we have emphasized the impact of gender and generation on the everyday life of Prague working class.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the mayor changes that the Hispanic American historical drama underwent in the last third of the 20th century, in connection with the increasing influence of the poetics of postmodernism. The work will mention the decisive artistic and philosophical concepts that had impact on the creation of postmodern historical dramas. The main part of the study is dedicated to the analysis of two examples of the postmodern representation of history and the historial myths: Acto cultural, by the Venezuelan playwright José Ignacio Cabrujas and La noche de Hernán Cortés by the Mexican writer Vicente Leero. The inicial chapters provide a theoretical base for the subsequent analitical part of the thesis. They outline the general features of drama and historical drama as a specific gender, and trace the postmodern changes over the Latin American culture, with a special focus on theatre production. Although the work is based on the textual analysis, we cannot avoid mentioning the distinctive features of the postmodern staging for its innovative significance. Cooperation of high schools with external contractors in preparing school educational programs
Tulach, David ; Lačev, Alek (advisor) ; Hochel, Matej (referee)
This thesis, Cooperation of high schools with external contractors in preparing school educational programs, deals with the question whether it would be possible and beneficial for high schools to cooperate with companies on the preparation or modification of their educational programs, with the goal of improving the quality of education. After initial contributions from experts who provided negative replies to this question, the view was focused on the root of the issue - what are the historical pillars of public schools and pedagogy, what does science say about learning and teaching, how pedagogy reacts to the crisis of science. After comparing literal sources and results from interview with the experts, in combination with a trace and activity analysis, a theory was established that public education is reaching a point of crisis, has not changed in its essence since its beginning and that the best solution might be the establishment of alternative educational institutions.
