Nursing care as provided to ante finem patients
JANSOVÁ, Markéta
The subject of death and dying is still considered a taboo in our society. It is awkward and anachronistic since our times require people full of life and vigor. The terminally ill are often snubbed by the society. Though being well aware of the unfavorable prognosis, many a doctor tries to treat the patients to the very last moment, and he or she perceives the death as a personal defeat. In 1967 Cicely Saunders, an English doctor familiar with the dismal conditions of dying in the then society, founded in London the St. Christopher's Hospice, the first modern facility of this kind. The philosophy of this effort has been perpetuated in the Hospice of the Agnes of Bohemia established in 1995 as the first hospice in the Czech Republic. The Bachelor Paper aimed to assess the possibilities of providing the ante finem care by health-care personnel at a hospital and a hospice. The Paper investigated these hypotheses: H1 - Health-care workers provide the ante finem patients with health care in conformity to the standards applicable to both types of the facilities; H2 - Approach of the personnel to the care is dependent on their emotional stability; H3 - Health-care personnel in hospitals are not aware that the art of accompanying is a part of the nursing process. The surveyed sample was compiled of nurses on the staff of the Internal Medicine Ward and the Post-Treatment Ward of hospitals in České Budějovice, Jihlava and Třebíč and the hospices in Prachatice, Červený Kostelec and Brno. The data were gathered through a questionnaire. Altogether 170 questionnaires were distributed and 136 out of them were processed in the final assessment. As follows from the assessment results, the care provided to the terminally ill patients in hospitals is affected primarily by time pressures and by the fact that the nursing staff are not fully aware of the possibilities that palliative care offers, while in hospices the conditions available for the palliative care have a quality basis. Results of the Paper will be given to one of the hospitals and two hospices specified above, where they can inspire some new ideas about possible improvement in providing the palliative care.

Optimization of wall thickness for headlamp body
Prokeš, Radim ; Tomaj, Martin (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
This project is concerned with the issue of the thickness optimalization of the wall thickness of the plascics headlamp housing by the simulation Moldflow analyse. There are mentioned the basic information about the plastic materials and their dividing over there. Furthermore the description of the injection process, the injection machines and the tools is included. The principles of the proposal and the construction of the plastics part is also mentioned here. In the application of the Moldflow Plastics Insight 6.0 there is provided the simulation of the melt moldflow for the proposed headlamp housing. Based on this analyse the proposal of the thickness reduction of the wall thickness of the headlamp housing is worked out with the aspect on the required qualities. It also contains the technoeconomic estimation of the benefit optimalization.

Analysis of security access to internet banking via mobile devices
Hiršal, Michael ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Klíma, Tomáš (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to analyze and review external security of mobile applications providing mobile banking on Android operating system. The theoretical section is aimed to describe the prerequisites for security analysis and the technological design of security for this kind of applications. Related practical section is based on the data acquired by the author in which the technological security is examined. Products of the companies Air Bank, a.s. and Moneta Money Bank, a.s. were selected to be examined in the practical section. These two companies are sample of the current Czech bank market. The examined level of security of both of the applications and their comparison are covered in the conclusion of the thesis.

Aesthetic standards in art education
Podlipský, Rudolf ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Janík, Tomáš (referee) ; Hazuková, Helena (referee)
In this thesis paper, application of aesthetic norms in visual art education has been studied from the explanatory point of view of structuralism (with an emphasis on Czech Structuralism). The study has been carried out as a qualitative research focused on didactic analysis of teaching processes. The aim has been to find out the extent of impact aesthetic norms may have on visual art education teaching process; to examine ways of handling aesthetic norms by teachers during the lessons; as well as to verify or newly develop a fundamental conceptual apparatus enabling to handle the aesthetic norms issue within visual art education lessons in a material way. The study is grounded in records of standard teaching units (written records of lesson observations; videotaping). In his study, the author applies the concept analysis method - a methodological means for didactic reflection and evaluation of teaching based on creative tasks and activity approach. The Commercial contract of purchase : (law and perspectives)
Nerada, Aleš ; Černá, Stanislava (advisor) ; Zahradníčková, Marie (referee)
The Commercial contract of purchase (law and perspectives) The contract of purchase is one of the most concluded contracts between artificial persons as well as between natural legal persons. It is surely appropriate to analyse modifications related to New Civil Code that is being drafted and means one of the biggest legislative changes that is being made in almost fifty years in the Czech private law. Therefore, the purpose of my thesis is to analyze both an effective law of the commercial contract of purchase including the international level, and forthcoming changes first and foremost related to liability for defects, consequences for the attainment of the ownership from the wrongful proprietor in general as well as in connection with real estate. I divided the thesis in two main parts; the first one is dealing with an effective law of the commercial contract of purchase, the second one is dealing with legal regulation in New Civil Code according to contract of purchase. Each of these parts is divided into minor chapters for better lucidity. In the first part I describe International sale of goods regulated by United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and its application, then by effective law of the commercial contract of purchase in Czech Republic. Within the...

Language Education at Higher Education Institutions in the Process of Internationalisation
Vlčková, Iena ; Vašutová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee) ; Andrášová, Hana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to compare the state of reforms of the Bologna process in the Czech Republic and in Germany, and their applications in the study plans in the specialised language education in both countries. The research theme is addressed in a correlation with the situation at higher education institutions in Germany. It is so also due to the fact that at the beginning of the reforms, the German tertiary education institutions faced the same changes as the Czech ones tackle now. The first part of the thesis focuses on the general analysis of the state of the reforms in the Czech Republic and in Germany; in the second part attention is given to the state of teaching of the specialised language at higher education institutions of a non-philological orientation. Fatigue failure mechanism of nickel-based superalloy Inconel 713LC under 800°C
Smékalová, Jana ; Juliš, Martin (referee) ; Hutařová, Simona (advisor)
Nickel superalloys are used for high-temperature application in energetic and aerospace industry. They are exposed to aggressive environment at high temperatures with the interactions between fatigue and creep processes, high-temperature oxidation, corrosion and erosion. Lifetime extension of such strained parts while increasing the performance of particular machine is possible by applying protective surface coatings. The subject of this work is to investigate the fatigue failure mechanisms of superalloy Inconel 713LC at 800 °C and to compare these mechanisms between material with a protective coating based on Al-Si and material without coating. The location of initiation fatigue cracks, their propagation and the fatigue crack propagation rate in some areas were analyzed by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy. Based on previous research it was found that the application of the coating AlSi has a positive effect on lifetime of alloy Inconel 713LC. These results were confirmed and estimated in the diploma thesis.
