Needs of persons with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation

Experience of patients with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation demonstrates insufficient understanding to the needs of such people. This issue is also discussed in foreign literature, wherein the need to establish the position of a specialized worker who knows very well the conditions of the health care facility and the needs of people with disabilities is emphasized. The objective of this thesis is to point out the complex issue of the needs of people with learning disability and their close persons during hospitalisation. Hospitalisation itself is a difficult and demanding situation in any person's life. For persons with learning disability, this situation is even more serious. The thesis aims at describing the experience of persons with learning disability so that it may serve as the basis for improving their health care.

Description of inner audits and advers events report is also included. Anonymous questionare inquiry pertaining to inner audits is a core of empirical part of the text. 40 auditors and empoyees working in the hospital more than 5 years were involved in the investigation. Oppinions of auditors were compared to statements of empoyees. Final version of the questionnaire was refined after analysis of preliminary questionnaire results. Questions pertain to accreditation, edducation of auditors, topics and timing of audits, survelliance of advers events and negative results notification. Information obtained can assist to improve inner audit system and quality of healthcare in the hospital.
Theological Challenges of Communication with and Providing Health Care for Muslim Worshippers

The Muslim patient belongs, because of the necessity to respect traditions and teaching of Quran, to the most complicated religious challenges for physicians and health care providers of other denominations. It is so not only in the Muslim countries, where these experts are often hired to provide health care in medical care centres, but also in countries with a considerable Muslim minority. The author of this diploma work defined as his aim to clarify the complexity of health care with regard to rather distinctive limitations, often contradicting common diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which stem from Islamic traditions, Islamic law and unneglectable attitudes of Muslim clerics. In his thesis the author attempts to a brief insight into the Islam with focus on orthopraxis of each Muslim, which accompanies him for the whole life, dividing the issue into the Muslim life phases and a broader Muslim family interests - see the work content. The author himself worked with Muslims for more than 15 years, out of which almost 10 years in Islamic countries (Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait and Pakistan) as well as in countries with strong Muslim population (Israel, Botswana, South Africa). Holistic Medicine as a Phenomenon Now Days Time

This thesis focuses on the comprehensive approach to human health. She attempts to shed more light on this topic, to document current circumstances related to the psychosomatic medicine and the so called holistic medicine, and to clarify the manner of understanding these concepts nowadays. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis constitutes a rough summary of the comprehensive approach to human treatment, a view of fundamental theories of psychosomatic medicine and its current position in the Czech health system. The thesis also includes an outline of applied terms which are connected to the comprehensive approach to human treatment, especially in the specialized literature. The practical part of this diploma thesis monitors the way in which the media use the terms of holistic medicine and psychosomatic medicine. Further, a general understanding of these concepts is demonstrated by the means of a questionnaire survey on a sample of 454 respondents. Moreover, the practical part is completed by interviews with two specialists of the Czech psychosomatic scene. The selected methods of social work with clients self - non sufficient in health care facilities

The main goal of the thesis entitled "The selected methods of social work with clients self-non sufficient in health care facilities" was to describe and to analyze methods used in activation of the elderly suffering from dementia. It draws a comparison of different settings and explores workers's attitude to the methods of activation. The text of the thesis was mapped out into five chapters. The first chapter was set into the context of old age and ageing. The second chapter is concerned with the issues of self-sufficiency and dependency of old age and other related issues. The topic of the third chapter is old age in relation with memory. It defines memory and memory disorders in the elderly suffering from dementia. The fourth chapter is crucial and gives an idea of non-pharmacological and other possible activities which are eligible for application in practice and are intended to reduce cognitive disorders of cognitive functions and behavior disorders. The theoretical part enters into research carried out in four facilities which care for clients with dementia. This master thesis presents the field of Occupational Therapy within rehabilitation care and points out the possibilities of its use in follow-up care and field outpatient practice. The thesis aims at the elaboration of a business plan for establishing an Occupational Therapy private practice, which would provide Occupational Therapy service and rehabilitation for people with lasting functional deficit in their own social environment or in an Occupational Therapy outpatient department. The theoretic part focuses on the theoretic basis of business, requirements for establishing of a private practice and concept of strategic management and analysis. It continues with the structure of business plan and presents the field of Occupational Therapy, its history, actual situation and position within the comprehensive care. The practical part contains an analytic part describing the exhaustive strategic analysis, of which the results are summarized in a SWOT analysis, and a research describing the survey inquiry among physicians authorized to prescribe the Occupational Therapy. Evaluation of accessibility of the health care of Czechia on the example of cardiology

This thesis deals with evaluation of time accessibility by individual car transport. Due to government regulations the time to access the cardiology ambulant care has to be 60 minutes. The first part of thesis pursues on graph theory, especially in context of network analysis and also accessibility and its technical aspect. Second part deals with data editing and solves average speeds on Czech roads, which is based on professional literature and on own research and testing. In a practical part, there is a described process of creating the Network Dataset and creation of Service Area. Output of these tools is set of maps highlighting regions of Czechia, which have lack of access to cardiology ambulant care. There were also highlighted regions, which are threatened by future lack of access to cardiology ambulant care, when doctor who are above 65 years old, will end their work activities. Comparison of health insurance systems in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany

Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema "Vergleich der Krankenversicherungssysteme in der Tschechischen Republik und in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland". Zwischen den gesetzlichen Krankenversicherungssystemen der Tschechischen Republik und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bestehen viele Unterschiede und Besonderheiten. Es zeigt sich, dass beide Systeme auch eine ganze Reihe von gemeinsamen Aspekten aufweisen. Die Arbeit besteht aus sieben Kapiteln, wobei sich jedes Kapitel einem besonderen Aspekt der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung widmet. Im ersten Kapitel wird eine historische Entwicklung erklärt, wobei im Unterabschnitt 1 dieses Kapitels die historische Entwicklung in der Tschechischen Republik behandelt wird, während der Unterabschnitt 2 sich der Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland widmet. Das zweite Kapitel setzt sich mit der rechtlichen Regelung beider Staaten auseinander. Dieses Kapitel ist in zwei Teile untergliedert, wobei der erste Teil sich mit der Regelung in der Tschechischen Republik beschäftigt und der zweite Teil die Situation in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland beschreibt.
