Universal controller for car or motorcycle dynamo
Picmaus, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of design of an electronic controller of charging for historical cars using a dynamo. It contains theoretical analysis of the machine itself (dynamo) and analysis of a shunt wound dynamo and a seperately excited dynamo. It~is also focused on possible usage of a dynamo in various vehicles. The work compares industrially produced controllers with amateur manufacture as well as confronts their positives and negatives. All requests for the implemented controller are deduced from the analysis of the industrial and amateur controllers. The thesis consists of process plan of controller connection including the final working version and also the project and realization of a PCB as well as following description of putting the controller into practice and installation in the car. The thesis includes the project of current and voltage controllers, following adjustment and operation tests with use of the real device.
Battery supplied lawn mower
Picmaus, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with a concept of turning a conventional petrol powered lawn mower to a battery powered solution which is powered by lithium cells. A division to three chapters, comparison, mechanical and electrical, provides fluency of the whole design and further realization. The arrangement of chapters is performed so that the continuity of the thesis is maintained. Calculations of parameters of every motor and transmission with choosing particular devices are just a part of much interesting information which can be found in this thesis. All new components have full documentation except those which were changed during manufacturing. The electrical part explains every part of the schematics in detail. The realization contains difference between preliminary design and further production, manufacturing of the PCB and powering up the motor drives. The last part of the thesis contains temperature measurements of the device at no load.
Inverter for single-phase island network
Klčo, Michal ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with a design and construction of voltage converter from 12 V DC to 230 V AC with frequency 50 Hz. Maximum output power of this device is 250 W. As a control circuit has been used IC TL494CN. The device includes undervoltage protection, which is applied if the voltage of the supply battery drops and protection against battery overcharging by solar panel. It also develops a proposal for integration the inverter into the island power system.
Basic measurement of dynamic properties of bipolar transistors
Repčík, Juraj ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze theoretical basis of measurement bipolar transistors. First, this project focuses on the static parameters of a bipolar transistor, setting DC voltages and currents in an electric circuit (Q-point, operating point). Second it deals with measurement of selected dynamic properties of amplifier with bipolar transistor. Theoretical knowledge is presented on the practical circuit by a laboratory measurement of the selected properties. The measurement is automated using a computer with LabVIEW software. User programs are developed for measuring the V-A characteristics of a bipolar transistor and for measuring selected dynamic properties of the amplifier. The thesis points out a convenient approach in development of new software for automated measurement using graphical programming in LabVIEW.
Commented translation of a teaching material for electrical engineering
The influence of operational amplifier topology on audiosignal quality
Rozkopal, Tomáš ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis describes different between any signal and audio signal from the used amplifier´s quality point of view. There are mentioned ways of origin of distortions and their effect on the audio signal quality. There is also described in detail the principal of operational amplifier, it´s circuit realization and ways to improve the circuit topology in order to reach the best qualities. Choice of parts used for discreet realization of operational amplifier is consulted. Last but not least the thesis contents the practical part, stating the reasons for realization of operational amplifiers from discreet parts and also describing two most commonly used topologies of operational amplifiers. Their discreet version is designed and there are compared the different between the manufacturer’s data and the data measured during the simulation.
Regulated power supply 50V/5A
Herman, Tomáš ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with the adjustable DC voltage source. The first part deals about the typical involvement of resources and consequently the properties of individual components resources. The second part is the actual design of control circuits, selection of components, wiring and PCB design.
Laboratory Tasks for Analogue Technology

This project deals with transistorized converters in particular a four-quadrant bridge. The main part of project discusses the drivers of transistors and a possible way of controlling a converter. The proposal of control electronics and the regulation structure are involved in the second part. This project also includes a construction of an apparatus which will be used as a teaching material.
Design of Audio Power Amplifiers
Gasnárek, Jiří ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the description of design and construction audio power amplifiers. This topic is very voluminous and therefore I limited it to basic familiarization with options of bias point placement, connection of power transistors and requested properties of audio power amplifier. It is requested to reach a balanced amplification in transferred frequency band (20 Hz – 20 kHz), to eliminate passage distortion by linearization of passages, to stabilize the amplifier by negative feedback and minimize the signal distortion in limitation by suitable concept of the DC source. Following part contains a suggestion of end transistor properties based on requested output and impendance, their choice (2SC5200, 2SA1943) and calculation of expected heat lost of the amplifier. From known transfer temperatures is set a request on an end transistor cooler. The final part deals with a sketch of scaling way of amplifiers, assumed value and objective comparison of modules. I discuss there possibility of subjective comparison by listening to the same part of sound recording via both modules.
