The Study of Order Processing Through Enterprise
Farníková, Jana ; Piňoš, Michal (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This thesis focusses on how a specific order is processed in a specific company. The analysis is more specifically focussed on heat meters, which make up a substantial part of the company sales. It contains suggestions on how the company could process these orders using a program called Microsoft Project, which could benefit the company in many respects.
Use of Time Planning Methods in Construction Project Management

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the subject of the use of time planning methods during the project management and explains basic principles that relate to this particular topic. The purpose of this work is application followed by comparsion of these methods on practical example.
Construction of an impedance analyzer
Slinták, Vlastimil ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mikulka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to build stand-alone impedance analyzer for mesasuring antennas’ impedance. The vector network analysis is used as measuring method. Analog (with directional coupler and gain and phase detector) and digital (with 8bit AVR microcontrollers) part of analyzer are described and then build.
Interactions of drugs used to treat schizophrenia and their accompanying symptoms
Musilová, Jana ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Cicková, Pavlína (advisor)
The thesis studies interactions and side effects of antipsychotic drugs. It describes the drug discovery and related scientific fields - especially the field of biological network analysis. The thesis also describes schizophrenia and its treatment. The aim of the work is creating script in R language for automatic data download from open source databases and a search of the most significant drug interactions in data from the open source databases, based on the visualisation and analysis of networks with Cytoscape software and its plugins, and a specification of similar pharmacological features of the most important medicaments.

Production shifting from China to Vietnam: Implications for Global Value Chains
Maderová, Karolína ; Semerák, Vilém (advisor) ; Vacek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis analyzes the importance of China within the global economy and assesses the potential of Vietnam to serve as its replacement, or at least for some industries. Using the network analysis and the hypothetical extraction method (HEM), the most influential sectors of the Chinese economy were identified and an increasing trend of reliance of the Westen countries on China's supply and demand was found. Next, using the trade decomposition method, the participation in GVC for Vietnam and China was calculated. Although Vietnam is increasing its participation and other countries are increasing their demand for inputs from Vietnam, based on the available data, it was not possible to determine whether these changes could mean that Vietnam can replace China in the future. Car dependence in Czechia: the example of municipalities with extended power Černošice and Kralovice
Dvořáček, Jan ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Zevl, Jiří-Jakub (referee)
Car dependence is a problem that has been closely linked to transport and land use planning since the mass spread of motoring in the second half of the 20th century. Excessive or total dependence on the car has many negative impacts, especially environmental and social ones. The aim of the study was to investigate the extent of car dependence in the Czech Republic in selected areas representing typical problem areas (periphery and suburbia), to identify and characterize the most dependent places in them. For this purpose, a network analysis of public transport accessibility carried out using a transport model of pedestrian accessibility in a GIS environment and the calculation of an indicator of car dependence were used. The results show that in the Czech environment in the study areas, the problem is more strongly related to small, mostly without the status of independent municipality rather than suburban neighbourhoods, which are most frequently mentioned in the Anglo-American literature. A very poor situation was also identified in what were formerly purely recreational second homes, but which are now partly permanently inhabited. Key words: car dependence, public transport, mobility, network analysis
Democratic Party's Foreign Policy Voting: A Network Analysis
Mulica, David Robert ; Pondělíček, Jiří (advisor) ; Raška, Francis (referee)
This paper analyzes the voting behavior of Democratic Party members in the 117th Congress. Specifically, it examines roll call votes related to U.S. foreign policy. Namely, it examines votes on funding allocations for the two major policy departments of the executive branch - the Department of State and the Department of Defense, votes on resolutions, and other legislative actions in which Congress has jurisdiction over U.S. foreign policy. More particularly, this study is interested in the voting behavior of members of the so-called "Congressional Progressive Caucus" (CPC), one of the ideological caucuses in the U.S. Congress that has been gaining political strength, especially in recent years. The aim of the study is to show whether the "Progressive Caucus" has developed to be a political force that is already showing tendencies to vote differently from the rest of the Democratic Party, or which specific members of Congress are potentially in positions to mediate between the "CPC" and the rest of the party on foreign policy issues. The study uses the social network analysis methodology to process and project data on the voting patterns of individual members of Congress.
