The Place of the Library within the Organisational Framework of Universities in the Czech Republic and USA: A Comparison Study

The aim of this master thesis was to describe and asses the place of the library within the organizational framework of universities in the Czech Republic and USA. Aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the current position of library in organizational structure of colleges and universities in the Czech Republic and USA. First chapter sums up the current situation. For Czech universities in public school sector the corresponding elementary data, relevant legislative scope and position in organizational structure of public universities are emphasized and presented. For US universities the current status is presented with a particular example of five public universities. Second chapter is about current trends in evolution of university libraries in Czech Republic and USA with an emphasis on position in university or college structure. Third chapter is the essential part of the thesis. It contains report about survey performed with representatives of Czech public universities and representatives of given libraries. Last chapter presents parallel research done in USA.

Analysis of Physical Fitness of the Police of the Czech Republic

Title:Analysis of Physical Fitness of the Police of the Czech Republic Objectives:The main objective of this theses is to help find a solution of selected motoric ability among adults, particullary cadets, who study at the programm of Basic Professional Training at the Ministery of the Interior's school in Prague. Methods:To collect results of selected motoric abilities we used motoric test according to the UNIFITTEST 6 - 60. We used questionaires to collect basic data and data about physical and mental stress indicators. Results:We found out that performance of the Czech policemen is sometimes below average when compared with the general standards and that received data doesn't meet our expectation. Comparison of selected Czech and Slovak academic libraries : on the example of Charles University in Prague and Comenius University in Bratislava

(in English) The goal of the thesis is to describe, evaluate and compare the present state of university libraries at the Charles University in Prague and Comenius University in Bratislava. The first chapter briefly describes the present state of Czech and Slovakian university libraries, their anchorage in the laws of the given state and also deals with societies associating the university libraries. The second chapter describes history, present and prospects of three selected faculties of Charles University and Comenius University (Faculty of Art, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) and also the buildings where the faculties are located are described. The third chapter already follows up the libraries of the selected faculties, their history, services, personnel, space descriptions, and their promotion among the general public etc.. The fourth and fifth chapter presents the main body of the work. These chapters include assessment of the questionnaire survey, between to the directors of the selected libraries, and comparison of these libraries on the basis of the survey and other obtained data. Leisure-time physical activities of students of FTVS UK specialization TVS

Title: Leisure-time physical activities of students of FTVS UK specialization TVS Aims: To obtain information about students of 3rd year undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport specialization TVS and their habits in leisure activities and sports. Compare the information about students learning the different specializations. Identify, describe and compare other factors affecting the participation of students on lemure-time physical activities and sports. Methods: Collection of information and the actual survey was conducted using questionnaires and document analysis. Subsequently, the results were analyzed using statistical methods and calculations. Results: The survey found that among students of different study directions are the differences in participation in leisure-time physical activities. Students of Sport specialization operate more in competitive sport than other directions, but don't lag behind in participation in leisure-time physical activities. The theme of this doctoral thesis is the gate for free access to the electronic information resources Art On-line at the Library of The Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts /JAMU/ in Brno (see http://knihovna.jamu.cz/index.html or http://dokumenty.jamu.cz/knihovna/eiz). The purposes are analysis and evaluation of the current state of the gate, survey of using information and information services, suggestion of its expansion, suggestion of its organizational and technological innovation and suggestion for completion of electronic information resources. The doctoral thesis consists of seven chapters. The opening part introduces JAMU and the Library of JAMU, the fundamental part presents the gate Art On-line. Distributed iOS System for Internet Marketing

The goal of this thesis is to design and implement distributed system, which covers work with internet surveys. The result of this thesis is a system consisting of mobile application for devices with iOS operating system and server application. Mobile application is created to mediate surveys operations. Server application maintains data in database. Thesis also focuses on creating the motivational system, to improve response rate. In this thesis I created mobile application for devices with iOS operating system, which version is not older than iOS 14. I have created server application maintainig PostgreSQL database. In the thesis I am solving user motivation for filling surveys with a reward system. For each filled survey every user is rewarded by some amount of inner application currency. This currency can be exchanged for discount coupons. Solution of this thesis brings mobile application to users, where they can efectively fill up surveys, get rewards and buy coupons. Users also can create surveys and are able to receive survey results. It is possible to add new coupons to motivate other users.

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of recreational potential on school entreprise ŠLP ML Křtiny focusing on cyclotourism, when the goal is to develop an analysis of the land use by tourists with the help of sociological methods, questionnaire survey, and based on all answers to propose general measures in land management from the point of view of cycling. The results, which are analyzed using different types of graphs and tables and interpreted with commentary, are followed by SWOT analysis and the resulting proposals and management measures of the area of interest ŠLP ML Křtiny.

The use of interactive whiteboards at lower secondary schools

The bachelor thesis focuses on interactive whiteboards and their application in elementary schools. The first part describes how whiteboards work and which types of software are used. The second part contains how elementary schools use whiteboards during their lessons. The main question of the bachelor thesis is manner and regularity of using. A quantitative analysis and statistics methods are used here. A survey is filled by children from elementary schools in the South Bohemian Region. The main result of the thesis is the evaluation of equipment and in which subjects whiteboards are used. The end of the thesis summarizes how children are satisfied with interactive whiteboards and creative learning methods during their lessons.

The Merger of Třeboň Municipal Spas - An Assess

The aim of this bachelor thesis is an evaluation of a fusion of the Municipal Spa Třeboň Ltd. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on an introduction of the issue, the characteristics and aims of a project of restructulisation of the fused spa companies. This part defines the theoretic-methodological outcomes necessary for processing the practical part. Furthermore, the town of Třeboň is described as well as the historical facts about a development of balneology in Třeboň that confirm technological justification and thus also prospects of balneology there. There is also an outline of the newly established Slatinné lázně Třeboň (Peat Spa Třeboň Company Ltd.), providing balneological services, spa capacity and economic situation of the Spa before and after the fusion. The practical part is based on a secondary data analysis, where the data are from 2014-2016 and from 2017 which is after the fusion, aimed at the spa results numbers of clients, their structure according to obtained services as well as an average length of their stay. Furthermore, the economic data describing the company results which are taken from accessible sources and straight from the Peat Spa Třeboň Company Ltd. For a fusion evaluation, also a quantitative and qualitative research was implemented, aimed at obtaining an insight into a social reality through the questionnaire research. Also the data obtained from a client feedback system "AskNow" gathered by the company were used. The following part of the thesis is based on a statistic confirmation of the real capacity and especially of economic development while adhering to a general progress of technical and medical standards that confirm the processed data by SWOT analysis. The bachelor thesis attempts to back the justification of the fusion also from the point of view of the Czech Medical Balneology which is based on a necessity of more financial sources than those provided by the state medical care. This necessity of financial support is available for a subject strong in economy and capacity. The Peat Spa Třeboň Ltd. has become such a subject after the implemented fusion, with a perspective of further development and gaining a strong position from the point of view of general technological and economic activities among the leading spa institutions in the Czech Republic, based on the patients´ interest in the procedures and services of the Municipal Spa Třeboň.
