ALVAO Service Desk Data Analysis and Reporting

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of reporting and data analysis of the ALVAO Service Desk system in the company's internal operation. Based on the findings of deficiencies, a new method of reporting and data analysis on the Microsoft Power BI platform is proposed. The proposal includes the entire Power BI feature cycle from data accessing to sharing.

Geographics Information Systems in Transportation

The work is focused on the issues associated with the use of geographical information systems in transport. Of the various types of transport was chosen railway transport for its great potential particularly in the field of freight transport, but also because it is a relatively environmentally friendly. This fact is also well known to the leaders of the European Union, who are engaged in the field of transportation. The European Commission in its documents (green and white papers) gives accent on the development of railway transportation and combined transportation, because this is the path to secure the sustainable development of transport. In the course of this study the current state of information systems several problems were discovered. One problem is the fragmentation of the partial information systems and the associated strong administrative burden. This situation stems both from the incomplete legislative framework, but also from the lack of the concept and awareness of the managerial positions. This work deals with other selected issues. The first is the area of designing the data model topology track that satisfies the requirements set out in legislation, both European and national level. The data model was designed with regard to a sufficient degree of variability. The work contains a section dedicated to the implementation of the data model and solution design of problems associated with visualization arcs. Another area is the collection of geographic data. Data collection is one of the key tasks in the implementation and maintenance of the information system. The acquisition of the geographical data can be lengthy and costly. We therefore suggest how to use inertial measurement in acquisition of topological data. This method could speed up the entire process of data capturing with sufficient precision and reduce the costs to the acceptable range.

Design of an Information System for Support of Personnel Agenda

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of an information system for the support of the personnel department in the field of educational events in the company MESIT & RÖDERS, v.o.s. Based on the analysis of the current state of the company, especially on the basis of HOS8 analysis and the SWOT analysis, an information system is designed using data modeling to simplify and speed up the process of the current agenda related to educational events.

Proposal of a Part of the Information System for a Selected Company

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a part of the information system for a selected company. Based on the analysis, a part of the information system will be designed, which will be used to record and manage the work performed by employees. The main part of the thesis will be the design of the data model. The final tool will enable the recording of data about the work performed and their analysis through an external tool.

Creation of a data model of a selected agenda of the company's economic information system

The objective of this thesis is to analyze a selected business agenda and create a conceptual and physical data model of an information system for this agenda on a selected database system. The first part of the thesis are focused on description of information systems and their classification. Data modeling features and requirements are characterized in this part. Following part presents the selection of a modelling tool for creating a data model based on a multi-criteria evaluation. The conceptual schema is modeled using the selected tool. It captures the necessary entities and their attributes to meet the defined requirements. The purpose of creating data model is capture the agenda of warehouse management of small stonemasonry company in South Bohemia region. Each chapter is focused on different part of creating database such as the conceptual, logical and physical levels. To test the created physical model SQL code is generated and uploaded to the web platform bit.io supporting PostgreSQL.

Paper review system

Goal of this thesis is to create an application for writing reviews of papers in mathematical journals. It provides centralization of all processes, simplicity and efectiveness of operations. Papers, i.e. metadata and scanned PDF files, are stored on a disk of server. The application handles rights to access to the papers accor- ding to the current state of them. Automatically generated emails are sent when some editing of paper is done. Implementation of this thesis is a web application. It is written in programming language PHP and it uses database MySQL. 1
